    Hi everyone,

I lost 2lbs at group which I'm pleased with. Good group yesterday as we didn't do IT but delved deeper into the plan and what might send us off track.

I'm gobsmacked @bubbs as your meals are always spot on. Can you use another B choice but syn it? I sometimes have a hi fi as syns if I've already had overnight oats as my B? Just doesn't make sense?

    Great loss @Jellybaby.

Saw DMum yesterday and went to Faversham for lunch and a mooch. I ordered a JP with cheese and beans, and when it was bought up (I was in the bathroom) it had cheese and bacon - not even chopped up bacon, just two rashers laying across the top! Bit annoyed but they were rushed off their feet so I ate it. Then went to see DSis and BIL. Ended up with kebab takeaway, but I had chicken shish with salad - so best of a bad bunch.

Today we are having roast chicken, potatoes, with loads of veg that I need to shop for. We are doing some DIY so will leave DH to it and go shopping!

    Have a good day all,
    Coxy

I weighed myself yesterday and I wished I hadn’t bothered.

    That's a great loss @Coxy11, a real boost after the week you've had. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I wish more consultants would stray away from the usual boring IT going round the group and saying the same old things. Although I didn't stay this week, my consultant seemed to be prepared for talking about pasta dishes. She had various recipes printed out and packets of various pasta shapes. All I'd criticise was that all the pasta looked expensive. I always buy the cheapest, own brand as I honestly can't tell the difference. 🤣

I'm feeling a lot better today @beanielou, still a bit sore but nothing like the pain I had yesterday. What's gone wrong with your first week back? Is it eating up food you had in? or eating out?🤔 It can take a while to get organised when you want to stick to the plan.

I'm with you with a lot of 'modern' art @joedenise but I meant that the gallery was supposed to have lifted the town and made it both a tourist destination and an up and coming place to live. Sadly, there are so many town centres looking desolate. We're quite fortunate that our local one is fairly vibrant, mainly because of students.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S)
L- not sure yet but probably eggs with something
D- roast chicken (P), SW roast potatoes (F), many vegetables (S)
Syns- HM gravy 4, weekend wine😊

    Well done Coxy

Maman glad you are feeling a bit better today.

Thanks for the suggestions, but it is eating for the sake of it if you don't normally have it 😏 i don't always use a b choice anyway or 2 a's and trying having both made no difference what so ever apart from a gain with b :( if i was snacking/picking all day and having no speed yes could understand it but as it is i can't 😥

Today i have had egg wraps with cheese spread and ham, baby plum tomatoes and some grapes
Dinner is roast beef, yorkies 2 syns, gravy 4 syns, cauli, broc, jersey royals, carrots and beans

Right we're back home.  Decided to come home today rather than tomorrow as DH has a busy week with golf this week and we've also got dentist and blood tests.  Have done one load of washing which is out on the line although the sky doesn't look too promising - looks like it might rain so need to keep an eye on it!  Second load is on now but will go on the line tomorrow, weather permitting!

Great loss @Coxy11, I'm not far from Faversham (as the crow flies!); not been there for a while but it is a town I like to visit from time to time.

Sorry to hear you haven't had a good first week. Anything we can do to help @beanielou?  You never know WI might be better than you expect tomorrow!

    Right so today's plan:

    B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
    L - ham and cheese toastie - HEB; HEA2; P
    D - beef stew, mash, green veg - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - sausages 2

It's been raining on and off most of the day here @joedenise, not heavy but I'm glad I got all the washing done beforehand.

I didn't have eggs for lunch after all. When I went to the fridge I realised I had stir fry veg (from a big 25p YS bag) left which needed using up. So a couple of syns for sweet chilli sauce and loads of Speed.

I can see why you don't want to eat just for the sake of it @bubbs. How many syns do you think you use in a week? 🤔

What I really need are quick easy faff free things to make.
Partly it was using things up & not being as organised & super skint as was end of the month. Bah.

I thought it might be using thing up @beanielou. This is the a mse thread after all, so we mustn't waste food.

Do you batch cook? I've just put an enormous vegetable chilli in the SC. I'll freeze it in portions and have with a JP or rice. HM ready meals are good for when you're in a hurry.

After that, probably stir fries or omelettes are quick. I  eat of pickles, especially beetroot, and I cook rice in a big pot and freeze in meal portions too.

    Thanks Maman.
I think I need to think about batch cooking but need to think about my poor energy levels.

Maman i just counted last weeks and was 31 so no where near 105!!

Beanie do you have a slow cooker/pressure cooker? I would try and batch cook 1 thing a day then freeze if you are not up to doing a couple a day then you have them in the freezer, could do spag bol, curry, casserole, cottage pie .

Oh sorry forgot to answer about Dad, he is waiting to hear about radiotherapy , he is wearing Mum out :( , won't go anywhere as worried about having his bag changed, but like i said he goes shopping with no problems and all they have to do is go in the disabled toilet which Mum has to anyway .
Saying he wants the bag removed.......not an option and he knew this before he had it done.
One of my sisters works in a day centre and they rang up and asked him to go for the day so he sees different people and give Mum a break, but he won't go :(
But good news is he is eating bigger portions so hopefully will gain a bit of weight.......i could give him a bit 😂
