Morning all.  Well done on the losses @joedenise, @maman, @Gettingtherequickly and anyone else who has lost this week!  Sorry to hear about the interview outcome @Coxy11 but now you've talked about it with management hopefully they will help you with some development (which they should have been doing anyway but that's a bug bear of mine with my current place...)  Hope you also have a good weekend @joedenise.

Long day in the office yesterday and then managed to get the house reasonably tidy as DH has a friend over right now to watch the NFL draft 😏  And I finally managed to get a bikini that I like from M&S so happy that saga is over with.  Just have to wait for all the refunds to go back on my credit card now.

Had ff yogurt, blueberries and half a banana for breakfast, lunch is going to be poached egg on toast with some tomatoes and then we're out for dinner tonight to celebrate two of our friend's getting engaged 😍  I'm going to drive as I don't really fancy drinking so at least it means we don't have to worry about trains etc.  Haven't had a chance to look at the menu but we've been there before and they usually have a nice seabass dish with veg so will probably punt for that.

Hope you all have a good weekend!

    It's a loss @Gettingtherequickly. You're chipping away at it. 👍🏼

Good to see you posting again @Abbafan1972 and congratulations on your losses.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 It does really help when you make friends at group. Like you, I'm thinking ahead for my holiday. Does all your holiday wardrobe fit? 🤔 I'm still trying things on.  Well done for getting yourself sorted with a bikini @ruby_eskimo.😊

Shame about the job @Coxy11 but at least the various discussions and promises might make you feel happier where you are for the time being. Keep trying external jobs too though, it'll give you a chance to practise selling yourself! 😁
With the Mauritian curry, the recipe looks good, but did you really only use a small tin of tomatoes? Do they still exist? 🤔 I'd have to think of a plan for the rest or up the recipe to double.

Cupboards are bare here too @Jellybaby. I'm not short of stuff in the freezer but the fresh stuff is very low. Meal plan is done and I'll do my shop this afternoon otherwise there's no Speed to have with dinner.

Lunch today is almost SP as I did put one small  potato in the soup (between 5 portions) but it all helps to lean towards lower carb options.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk, fried egg, bacon (P), baked beans (F)
    L- lentil soup (S P,F), sardines (P), pickles (S)
D- fishcake, SW chips (F), carrots, greens, tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
    Syns- Morrison's fishcake 2, weekend wine 😁

DH used the whole 400g(?) of tomatoes and used FF natural yoghurt as no FFFF in Te$co! Tasted lush.

Evening all, been a dry, cloudy and very windy day!  We got really cold waiting for a bus back to the nearby town, supposed to be every 30 minutes but we had to wait nearly 45 minutes- they’d cut out a bus due to the heavy traffic.  There were loads of buses running back to the garage empty.  Still we got back in plenty of time for dinner!

Today has been quite a good more or less on plan:

    B - fry up with bacon - P, S, F
L - (in pub) - chicken skewers on a bed of onions and peppers, with jacket potato and side salad - dressing on the side - P, S, F, 2 for oil, couple of G&Ts 6
    D - cheeseburger, onions in WM roll - HEB, P, S, 2.5

    HEA - milk
    HEB - roll
    Syns - gin 6, oil 2, cheese slice 2.5, pink & white 2

So even with eating and drinking in the pub have come in under syns for today.

Thanks for the recipe @Coxy11, it’s very similar to my basic curry with the addition of the butternut squash plus the fromage frais.  I always add a full tin of tomatoes.  Will definitely try this next month as have some squash which need using!

Sorry you didn’t get the job, hopefully the development materialises so you get some job satisfaction.  Keep looking both internally and externally as there will be a better job out there somewhere for you.

Good luck for WI tomorrow @bubbs and @Jellybaby.

That sounds like a good pub meal @joedenise. It's great when you can find somewhere that does SW friendly food. 😊

We've been trying to use public transport to keep petrol costs down too. When we went to the theatre on Wednesday, we missed one bus and caught the next. Image how smug we feel when, after a few stops, we caught up with the first bus which had broken down. 😉

So your first meal was brunch @bubbs. We're you out too early for breakfast? 🤔
