Thanks Denise.  Think I'll stick with the normal plan as SP easily confuses me!

I only have SP meals never SP days!  Like you I always feel hungry without the carbs.  Every SP meal helps I think.  If you want to up your weight loss then it's worth increasing the amount of Speed on your plate and reducing the carbs a bit - you then get the best of both worlds!

I agree. I think any carb cutting that you can do, without feeling hungry, is a help. One of the things I do is to replace potatoes with Speed whenever possible. When I'm doing roast potatoes or chips I always try to add some carrots. That's chunks (new potato size) with roasties or carrot chips. Sometimes chunks of BNS if I have any. Similarly with mash, I add carrots or BNS and it gives a lovely colour and it's much smoother. There's always a tendency to throw in an extra potato so this is how I avoid it. i always weigh rice (250g cooked portion for two of us), count the tagliatelle nests and I have one of those spaghetti measurers to control portion size.  I find SP lunches relatively simple, like today's omelette.

Delighted to report that I went to WI this morning, lost 0.5lbs and I'm still in target range! 😁 I just did weigh and go as I was going out straight afterwards. We had to do self weighing today which was odd and I had to stare at the screen for a while to believe what I was seeing!

I've worked out that in 7 weeks time I should be away on holiday (still can't quite believe it will happen) so I'm going to have to plan my next WI carefully. I'll probably go again in about a month which would give me time to lose a pound or two if I need to. I'm resigned to taking time to get back to target when I get home after three weeks away but I'll worry about that when the time comes.

Meanwhile I'm going to stick to plan whenever I can. Today we've had a long walk (13000+ steps) so that's helping me feel supple and energetic as well as slim. 😊 Fridge is looking very empty but I'll be doing my meal plan later and shopping list for tomorrow.

    Today's EE plan-
    B- HEB Weetabix, HEA milk
L- veggie omelette (S,P), pickles (S), slice of ham (P)
D- toad in the hole, roast potatoes, LO gravy (F), BNS, cauli, broccoli, cabbages (S)
    Syns- flour 2

Well done @maman on the loss and still being in target range.

Good idea to go to WI again in a month to give you time to get back into range if necessary.

Where are you going on holiday?

Thanks @joedenise. We're going to Turkey, which we always have done at this time of the year until 2020. ☹️
We have an apartment so do our own breakfast, the very occasional lunch and pre dinner drinks! 🤣

I might take some Ryvita to have with breakfast to keep me away from the gorgeous bread. 😋

Hello from the train! Left work at 6 - really tired!

    Well done maman xx

Food lovely as always bubbs 😊

40g porridge oats mixed with FF yog and frozen fruit beanie. I use Mullerlight for 0.5 syn - usually vanilla but this week I used rhubarb and custard flavour. I use frozen cherries - not speed but I like the texture. Mixed up and leave overnight. Stir again before eating. That’s how I do it anyway 😊

Will post recipe when I get home joedenise
