Back again, WI done and it was STS. I'm OK with that but obviously would have liked at least a small loss particularly with another holiday on the horizon! Only 3 more WIs so would really like to lose at least 1lb a week until then which will take me just over target weight but within range.
Assuming I'm back in target range before my holiday I will be taking a few weeks off after to make sure I'm back in range before going to WI again!

Afternoon everyone,I had a lovely Christmas present

Afternoon all
Well done Denise and sts over Xmas is fab!
Denise i got my waffle machine from Lidl was about £18
Oh no neveah 😪 was drink involved? or were you stone cold sober? Hope you have not been in too much pain.
I have booked my slot on Friday to see Dad now i am covid free. Mum is seeing the doctors today because at the moment he is being very naughty 😱 he threw a drink at the nurse 😫 so now has a cup with a lid on, he climbed on the bedding and was standing on it, Mum said god knows how he done that as he can hardly get in and out let alone climb on it 😱
I think alot is to do with environment he is in, the other 3 people in there are not with it at all and i am sure this rubs off on older patients.
The next thing is does he come home or go into a care home? Mum obviously wants him at home but if she can't manage him he will have too
Mum said she is getting as if she don't want to get out of bed in the morning with him not being there 😫
Anyway food today
soft pita with egg and salad, tomato, satsuma and pear.
Tea i am having LM red onion sausages, onions and gravy and veg 4 syns

Well done on STS @joedenise!
Oh no @neveah that's awful. I do hope you're okay xx
Great that you will see DDad on Friday @bubbs and hope the doctor can give your DMum some reassurance. Not an easy situation for either of them, or you or DSis x
I braved the gale force winds to pop to Ts at lunchtime. Needed readymade puff pastry for the pie lid plus the leeks. Loads and loads of meet reduced, but I only got 5% pork mince as only had one bag and needed Neville's bread for me plus some other veg. Pie will be served with carrots, green beans and sprouts as we still have a bag left.

How awful @neveah, especially the mammoth wait in A&E. Hope you feel OK very soon. 😊 DH has an appointment tomorrow at orthopaedics to see if they plan to put a cast on his wrist. He's coping reasonably well with the splint but I'm having to do a lot more than usual . It makes me realise what a star he is! 💖
Glad you've got a visiting slot for your dad on Friday @bubbs. It's hard to know why he's playing up in the hospital but it could well be he's copying bad behaviour and pushing boundaries with the staff to see if he can get away with it. Your poor mum is stuck between the proverbial rock and hard place. When he's at home he wears her out but she finds it hard to cope without him being there. I do hope she's amenable to a care package whatever is suggested.
I think most of us would jump at STS at this time of the year @joedenise.👍🏼 I think you've done really well but I can see why you want to get back in range before you go away.
Your pie with no lid reminded me of a strange experience a few years ago @Coxy11 . We went to Garfunkels (when it still existed at Oxford Circus) around this time of year. DH ordered a steak and ale pie and it seemed they'd run out of 'lids'. It came with a slice of toast plonked on top of the meat filling! Very SW friendly! 😂
I think we should definitely have Slimming World in the thread title @beanielou, so that posters know it's about the plan rather than losing weight with any other 'diet'.
We've almost finished cooked leftovers here. I'm going to make 'hot dinner' with the last of the turkey tonight. It'll have to be Bisto granules chicken gravy but I'm sure we'll enjoy it. That just leaves some gammon which I'll probably slice and freeze plus the various crisps, cheeses, chocolates, biscuits! 🤣 Food will be 100% on plan today (porridge for breakfast and fry up for lunch) but still picking at treats.0 -
Maman, hope DH gets on ok tomorrow, i am sorry i had forgotton about him
Mum will take what they offer her, she has already told them she needs help morning and evening, the thing is if they come to put him to bed at something like 8 and then don't come till about 10 to get him up, until she speaks to them when it is actually sorted she will not know.
She knows she will not be able to cope on her own and none of us live in the village. She can manage without him, just misses him so much 😥
Yes there is no one for Dad to talk to as the other 3 are out of it. They put a screen on with some calming music and this settled him down, but like Mum said he always has the radio on at home as it drives her nuts sometimes 😂
That made me laugh about the pie 🤣Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
I like “a slimmer me in’23 - slimming world” and agree it needs SW in the title.
1st day back at the practice today. Had sw quiche and salad for lunch and succumbed to a blumming biscuit. ‘‘Twas a lovely milka wafer round. Haven’t looked up the syns yet but I did enjoy it.
for tea, I’ve made Slimming eats cheesy bean pie. HEa and 2.5 syns so I should be ok as long as I don’t have any other snacks bits. Will serve it with green beans.Eeek, I’ve just looked up the biscuit - 8 syns!!! Won’t be having another of those however nice it was.0 -
I like A Slimmer Me in 23 - Slimming World as a title too.
Hope all goes well for your DH tomorrow @maman. It's when these things happen that you find out how much or how little your other half does!
@bubbs It sounds as though your dad has calmed down a bit with having some music on which is good. Hope they can sort out a care package for him sooner rather than later so he can get back home. There's always the option of a Care Home later if your mum can't cope or your dad doesn't settle with the care arranged. Hope when they sort it out it's better than that arranged for my MIL - they came at 4pm to help her to bed! No way was she having that so they just helped her get ready for bed and made it easy for her to get herself in by pulling the covers back!
I realised mid afternoon that I should actually have had a lb loss this morning as I'd forgotten to take my jumper off to weigh! I weighed my jumper and it weighs 1lb 3 oz! Still hopefully that means I'll have a decent loss next week!
@Matron_Midge - it's definitely worth checking syns before eating anything your not sure about - as you have discovered! I'm sure you'll think about that in future! But at least you enjoyed the biscuit - far worse if you hadn't enjoyed the syns.

Denise you plonker 🤣🤣🤣 but yes should hopefully be good for next week 🤞🤞
Denise i just said to Mum on the phone about the times they come.
Mum thinks he has another water infection so requested another test today. He is also having another CT scan and a brain scan to check that it has not spread.
He is being very naughty 😂 chucked his drink at the nurse 😱 he can hardly walk but keeps getting up and standing on the bed, Mum said can't see how he can do it, but they asked him why he is doing it and he said because he wants to be at home with Mum.
As you know He is dairy intolerant and they have been feeding him dairy, they are putting his stoma bag on wrong, Dad knows it's wrong but can't do it himself.
Mum said the food it terrible, today he had sausage in gravy and onions, no potatoes as it' mashed with milk, no veg, she ordered peas they didn't come.
Yesterday was turkey and carrots, as that's all he can eat. He said he wants Mum's dinners as they are nice
Mum does not want him to go in a care home, she wants him at home as much as he wants to be at home

I've weighed clothes before WI @joedenise especially flip flops when we had to wear those. So, you did get a loss after all. 👏👏👏 Next week should be even easier without Christmas food.
At least you enjoyed the syns @Matron_Midge and you found out how many before any more damage done. 👍
Sounds like your dad is hoping that if he plays up enough they'll throw him out! Devious! 😁
We enjoyed our dinner but my gravy is so much better than Bisto, even if I say so myself. 😇 Nothing like meat juices to give authentic flavour.0
