I've weighed clothes before WI @joedenise especially flip flops when we had to wear those. So, you did get a loss after all. 👏👏👏 Next week should be even easier without Christmas food.

At least you enjoyed the syns @Matron_Midge and you found out how many before any more damage done. 👍

Sounds like your dad is hoping that if he plays up enough they'll throw him out! Devious! 😁

We enjoyed our dinner but my gravy is so much better than Bisto, even if I say so myself. 😇 Nothing like meat juices to give authentic flavour.
Think you're right there!  I don't have any gravy on my dinners (certainly saves some syns!  As it's just DH it's much easier just to use granules!

@bubbs I really can't believe that they are still giving him stuff with dairy.  How can they not know how to put on his bag properly?  Can your mum ask that a stoma nurse is brought in to show the staff how to do it properly?  It's not much use if it's not doing the job it's supposed to do!

    Hi all,

Hope your dad gets home soon @bubbs and your mum gets some help, she needs to be insistent on preferred times.  My parents are both in their late 80s and fight like cat and dog 🙈 but when not together are completely lost.

Well done on STS @joedenise that’s fab for Christmas! I’m absolutely dreading WI on Saturday. Meals are fine it’s alcohol and peanuts! Oh and M&S shortbread. I’m another who can’t resist it.

I like the suggested title for the new thread and will keep an eye out for it. I’m going for ‘target me in 2023’ as I’m hoping to get to target by May when DS1 is home for a visit. 1.5 stone should be do-able.

  • Hi all,

Just thought I'd check in, sounds like most of you had a good Christmas.

I thought I'd  be good over Christmas but best intentions and all that... I've eaten like a pig and scales at home look like a good 6lb gain! To be honest I was better than previous years so goodness knows how much I usually put on!
I'm not too worried though and know it'll come off soon enough. Back to plan (ish) tomorrow and then fully back on plan from Monday

Think 2023 I'm going for a different look so motivated to get to target and get some new clothes.

Maman , Dad knows if he don't behave he won't be coming home, he says he don't know why / that he is doing it .

Mum has told them twice, once the other day and once today about the bag, she asked where his belts were? (they are like a ribbed belt that holds the bag) oh we threw it away as it was dirty, Mum said you don't throw them away you wash them!

She has to order these from up north once a month, so she rang the stoma nurse this morning and she took some over to the ward, she then rang the company where she orders from and said please can you make the priority , she said we have to request a script from the doctors so depends how long they take, Mum didn't realise this happened.

Jelly i think this is the thing, Mum has always said jump and Dad how high 🤣 but they work as a partnership after being together 60 odd years.

Anna you will soon get that off

There will be a new thread in 2023.  I'm sure @beanielou will put a link on here once it's set up.

You're very welcome to post on this thread until then.  Do you go to group, do SW online or just going it alone?  It really doesn't matter which as all are welcome.

I attend a group and lost 2stone just before I went on a cruise late September.  Looking for more inspiration/motivation.
