@maman i feel better in myself today, well i must do as first day took no paracetamol 👏👏 i have just had a bit of tea, 4 crackers, cheese, scotch egg, a tomato, really strong pickled onions , but couldn't taste them and some crisps.

I am going to ring mum in a minute check she is ok, as like my sister said they moan at each other but one has a job to cope without the other!

Glad your dh is more himeself, is it his dominate hand?

Just spoke to Mum, she said Vicki the nurse looking after Dad rang this afternoon and said he seems to be doing well 👏👏 he has drank his drinks an she was going to give him some dinner.

The diabetic nurse wanted to know why he took so many tablets, Mum said because thats what the diabetic nurse at the surgery said he had to take, although she did want him to take more and Dad refused.

Mum asked if he would be home for Christmas and she said if he is, doubt it will be till Christmas eve . Mum said i know you cannot commit and she said no it's wait and see .

Mum said she hurts everywhere as looking after dad she forgot to take her own tablets so they need to get back in her system, so she was going bed as exhausted as had no sleep for 2 nights

That's good news that your mum is off to bed. Hope she gets a good night's sleep and her medication kicks in soon.

Aren't the NHS wonderful?? That's great that your mum got a personal report on your dad's progress and I'm sure, if at all possible, they'll discharge him for Christmas.

We had excellent service at A&E, just 2 hours and I'm sure the nurse practitioner discharged DH with a splint because she knew we'd waste time getting the same response from a doctor. Fortunately, not his dominant hand. I'm sure he'll be able to manage one-handed hoovering! 🤣

Yes can't complain about NHS this week, was a different story at the start of this journey :(  but they were excellent last night Mum said , although when they took him for emergency scan they did say to see if he would have to have surgery,

Mum piped up straight away, NO he is not allowed to have further surgery, they asked why, she told them what happened last time and they said oh well we will have to see what scan shows, but luckily scan was ok.

Mum said some people were still sitting in A&E when she came out this morning that were there last night when they went in!

    That's funny about hoovering 🤣🤣

I'm not going to worry about things now until next Tuesday and get back on plan then. Not fussed about NYE, no plans to go out and if we stay home, it is doubtful there will be any alcohol.

Now I've just got to pluck up the courage to tell mum that we are thinking of staying at home, I need to as I am struggling really badly physically with my energy levels and Christmas will only make that worse and I still have to juggle going to work next week. I'm hoping one of my siblings will do the honours and keep her company/invite her to theirs but then there is probably more chance of seeing a pig flying across the sky than that happening.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

    Morning,

Well I know I've had 36 hours of sleep but was hoping to get back to normal last night. Unfortunately DH went out with friends and had shots, so snored all night and was wandering around banging into furniture at about 3am trying to find his way to the bathroom. UUUURGGGGHHHH!
    And breathe.....

I'm WFH today and will no doubt be bombarded by asks from various folk. Will try to pace myself. Managed to eat some LM lookilikey chorizo and red pepper sausages, mash and veg last night, so pleased about that.

    Food today:
    B - poached egg, mushrooms, 1 x WM toast - P, S, 1/2 HEB
L - LO chilli con carne, satsumas - Free, S
D - chicken pesto pasta - 3.5, HEA for parmesan
    HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
Syns - advent choc and pesto - 6 total

Glad you had an update on DDad @bubbs - hope he can come home for Christmas x
Well done on the loss @SingleSue x

Morning all, weather not looking too promising!  There's definitely been plenty of rain overnight and the ground is very wet.  Not raining at the moment but looks like it probably will later - it'll probably wait until I go out shopping!

Hope you're feeling better this morning @Coxy11 even though you had a very disturbed night with DH's stumbling around at 3am!

Do hope your mum had a decent night's sleep @bubbs, although even though she was tired she'll miss having your dad there.

Other than shopping I'm not planning on doing much today.  DH is cooking breakfast, lunch is a soup which is made but just needs to be whizzed up and reheated.  Dinner I just need to make some mash and cook some veg.

    Today's plan:

    B - sausages sandwich - HEB; 4.5
    L - carrot and lentil soup - P; S; F
    D - savoury mince, mash, veg - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - LF sausages 2; brown sauce 0.5; butter 2

    Have a good day everyone.
  • Morning all.  Hope you're feeling better @Coxy11 - sounds like a very scary event so no wonder you thought you might be having a stroke!

Managed to pick up the final bits of food for Christmas last night so we're all ready to go I think.  Feeling so tired at the moment that I had an accidental lie in this morning and now feeling out of sorts while still yawning my head off.  Haven't had any breakfast as wasn't feeling hungry but will have an early lunch of kimchi fried rice with a fried egg.  I'm going to an adult's panto this evening and my friend is picking me up at 6 - so having a larger lunch and then I have some soup from the freezer to have with some bread just before I go.

Hope everyone has a good day!
