Afternoon all. Good to hear your dad is doing better @bubbs, hope you're feeling better soon as well. One of my friends hasn't been able to drink beer since he had Covid because he says it just tastes weird now...
Good luck to those of you getting the last bits of shopping done. We went on Wednesday and it was starting to get a little chaotic. Went to the "adult" panto last night - was very enjoyable and funny and we'll probably go back next year. Did have a couple of mulled wine's while we were there.
Last working day of the year and it's going very very slowly...had poached eggs on toast for breakfast, lunch was veggie soup and dinner tonight is pasta bake.
Think this may be the last time I'll be on the forums before Christmas and even the New Year, so here's wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year just in case.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -

Seem to have forgotten post this morning! Don't know where the time has gone really although I have been on the phone to DD2 and my sister, both getting on for an hour! I've also made a last minute Christmas cake from the SW website - it looks lovely but didn't want to put the oven on so did it in a loaf tin in my halogen oven. Looks lovely but can't see me being able to slice it into 20 which is what the recipe is supposed to be for! I'll have to work out how many syns per slice it is once it's cut into slices.
Hope it's not too long before you get a negative result @bubbs. It's a good job you have filled cupboards and were able to get a delivery. Can understand why you're feeling fed up. That's absolutely terrible that the hospital haven't got dairy free food for your dad, not even milk.
Today's plan:
B - toasted cheese sandwich - HEA2; HEB
L - stuffed peppers; satsuma - S; F; 1
D - lamb chop, mash, green veg - P; S; F; 0.5
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - sweet chilli sauce 1; mint sauce 0.5
Good luck to everyone weighing today and tomorrow.
Have a good day everyone.

Change of plan for dinner tonight! DH decided he wanted chips so it was chips and beans so even less Speed than usual!
Had a slice of the Christmas cake - very nice it is too. My slice was definitely more than SW call a slice - they say 5.5 syns a slice but mine was about 50% bigger so 8.5 syns, so at least within syns, even with having a couple of rum & ginger beers.

You will never believe with a big notice there they have been giving him dairy and they wonder why he is passing blood 😡😡 Mum said there is a big sign there saying no dairy.....oh we thought it just meant milk. You deserve a treat @bubbs. Hope you enjoyed every syn in the biscuits. 😁
I'm astounded that a hospital doesn't understand NO DAIRY. Amazing! ☹️
I cooked the gammon while the dinner was on. Now cooling ready to go into the fridge. I also did a big pot of lentil soup from the stock. I'll freeze that tomorrow but will keep some out for lunch. 😋1 -

Merry Christmas one and all.
Well, Christmas starts here for us.
I’ve just put a large ham into roast and we will be having that with oven chips and cauli cheese tonight once the hoards descend. I’ve made a baked New York cheesecake that will have a black currant topping and none of it it sw friendly.
Big Christmas lunch tomorrow, Lo’s or toasted ciabatta sandwiches on Boxing Day and then back to normal on 27thI might not be able to pop back on for a day or so, so I shall follow Denise’s advice of careful when I can and enjoy it if I can’t. That is not a verbatim quote, rather one I’ve adopted to suit me 😜
