My personal opinion about him not sleeping again is i think he is thinking he is not going to wake up 😪😪 as he admitted this before but then he settled down , but he constantly says to my sister when she picks him up from day centre he is worried what is going to happen to Mum when he goes 😪😪

Sending big hugs for you and your parents @bubbs. You're really going through the mill at the moment.🤗
I've had quite a day/24 hours. Today is DD1'S birthday. I had a lateish SW fry up then went to Winchester, as that's what she wanted to do, looked around the Christmas market and the city in general. We only stopped for coffee.
I did go into Sainsburys and, being a city centre branch, they had plenty of the £6 gammon joints. 😁 Probably no one wanted to carry them home.
Last night proved very eventful. DH got home about 9.30pm, struggled to drive because he'd hurt his wrist after falling down some stone steps. Definitely no alcohol was involved! 🤣 I didn't like the look of it so insisted on taking him to A&E. Turns out he's broken a small bone We were lucky to be in and out in just under 2 hours, some people had been there for 6-7!
He has a splint at the moment and it's painful but expecting a call sometime from orthopaedics in case it needs a cast. I can't see it happening before Christmas so it's going to be a busy time for me.
We had penne with meatballs tonight as DH could eat that with one hand!
I did have some cheese and crackers (HEA2 +3🤔) last night as I was hungry after the hospital visit. Tonight I'm having wine syns to celebrate DD1'S birthday. I think I deserve it for all the work I did years ago. 😂

Maman, sorry about your dh, hope he can control the pain.
Dad had now been admitted to hospital 😫😫 BUT they think it's just a water infection and have inserted a catheter, fingers crossed he will be home in 24/48 hrsSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
It's one thing after another for you just now @bubbs hopefully your dad will be better today and get home. Hope you're feeling better too.
Ouch to your DH too @maman hope he hears about a cast if needed sooner rather than later.
We were going to have just plain mince and potatoes tonight for dinner but reading your menu Maman has changed my mind and I'm going to make meatballs!
Today's food:
B - omelette with bacon and tomatoes
L - SW pizza using wrap (HEXB) as base, tomato puree, cheese (HEXA2) onions, peppers, sweetcorn and anything else needing used up!
D - meatballs with spaghetti (will probably syn some parmesan)

Morning all
Jelly i have the most awful taste in my mouth , yet can't taste/smell food.
Dad update, Mum rang at 10.15, i was waiting to ring her as give her time to sleep , get up, washed and dressed but she beat me, she had just got home from the hospital 😳
She said no complaints from the hospital they were brilliant, took them in straight away to be assessed , then into a room, he went for an emergency CT scan at 2.45 am but that was ok, then admitted on a ward.
Mum had been asking Dad if he was in pain as he was bent over , he kept saying no, he must have been. They inserted the catheter and 4,500 ml or 4.5ltrs ...yes you read that right! of wee came out, he was full up of it 😱😱 Mum said it was gushing out.
Then his sugars were only 2.5, they needed to get them up so was giving him a sweet cup of tea, Mum said he won't drink it, they said he had to, well he kept spitting it out going urghhh 😂 so the nurse then went and spoke to a doctor and came back with this tube, i said to Mum pure sugar to squeeze into his mouth, so they kept squeezing it in and telling him to swallow and he is going urgghhh, urghhh but did swallow in the end and got them up to 6.5 so all good.
Mum said he moaned at her when he woke up so she knew he was feeling better 😂 but of course he had no sleep for 2 nights .
Anyway he was comfortable when they left , but it's a closed ward, no visitors due to the flu and covid. They said hopefully he will be home for Christmas .
