Maybe it's the carbs you need then!  Do they cause you any probs with the diabetes when you have more than usual?

It's very difficult to know what to eat to have the best losses and there seems to be no rhyme nor reason as to why we lose and gain!

Morning all, it's another very cold and frosty morning.  Don't think we'll be venturing out today although I still need to get the holiday washing done!  Most of the washing I did when we got home is finally dry, just a few t-shirts left on the airer to finish off now but will be glad to put the airer away!

Glad the carbs didn't affect you @bubbs and you were feeling OK.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up with bacon - P; S; F
L - LF burger and onions in WM roll, sliced gherkins - HEB; S; 0.5
D - roast chicken dinner with roasted veg and green veg - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - roll
    Syns - LF burger 0.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Your pate always looks so appetising @bubbs. 😋. Many congratulations on your loss yesterday! 👏👏👏

Same here with the washing but only 1 machine load. It fits on the airer so it's in the spare room minding its own business.

Last night's meal was a chicken casserole with red cabbage and peas then a choice of puddings. I had some fruit salad plus a little cream. Probably a few syns in the main too like cornflour, oil, sugar but I could afford it as driving myself so alcohol free.

I'm making a casserole for tomorrow too while the oven is on. Martin would be proud of me. 😇

Snap! for dinner @joedenise. Mine was 30% off YS in Aldi. 😁

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, egg (P), baked beans (F)
    L- ham (P), beetroot (S), hash of bits from fridge (F, S)
D- roast chicken (P), roast potatoes and LM stuffing balls (F), many vegetables (S)
    Syns - gravy 4, weekend wine 😁

    Hi all,

BRRRRR! I STS at group yesterday - that's okay as I did have two meals out last week. I have 1.5lb to lose to get the the number I wanted before Christmas and if I sneak 2lb before Christmas I will get my 1.5st. That's a challenge - bring it on.

Well done on your loss @bubbs x

Went for my waxing appointment but too short(!!!!) so need to go back next week lovvvl. Had haircut and then the adult children descended on us. DD home from uni now until mid-Jan, DS2 back just for the weekend then back again from Friday until mid-Jan. DS1 and DIL2B also stayed along with pup. From the sublime to the ridiculous.

We all went on a 13km walk around the Kent countryside this morning in aid of Papyrus and in memory of my nephew. It was -1 and visibility only around 100 yards. Started and ended in Rodmersham Green. Got home around 2.30pm and needed lots of coffee to thaw out. DH and I have been doing housework and putting spare room back together/washing bedding etc.

I have eaten many syns today as just needed the treats - too cold. Will have leftover roast chicken and veg for tea tonight. I'm meant to be in London tomorrow but I'm keeping an eye on the train situation as we are due snow later eeeek!

    Have a good evening all.

    Morning,

Wow @bubbs that quiche looks lush mmmmm! DH can't abide quiche unfortunately as 'not a proper meal' so I never make it!

We have snow! Lots of it! DS2 went to his GF's for tea and the parents were dropping him at the station around 9.30pm to get the train back to uni but I think DH went out to rescue him at some point. I went to bed at 9.45pm as was dropping off in my chair!
I was meant to be in London today but I'm going to WFH as not wanting to attempt the hill to the station or the train chaos.

    Food will be:
    B - poached egg, mushrooms, 1 x WM toast - P, S, 1/2 HEB
    L - LO roast chicken and veg - P, S
D - SW sweet chilli chicken, rice, green beans - 1 syn
    HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
Syns - advent choc 2.5 plus 1 so 3.5 total

We didn't go food shopping at the weekend so I took advantage of a 25% off an order of £60 from Ocado which (fingers crossed) will arrive at lunchtime today. We are cooking for 3 this week, then 4 from next weekend, so back to larger food shops for the foreseeable.

Hope everyone is managing to stay warm and safe.

Morning all, we've got snow too although not too bad just a light scattering.  Really wish I didn't have to go out but no choice as have a dentist appointment later this morning - DH is going to drive me as my car doesn't cope well on the unmade roads around here!

Will do a bit more shopping while we're out as didn't get to the butchers at the weekend and we are completely out of low fat sausages and burgers.  Will pick up a couple more bits from Tesco - DH wants some Diet Coke and it's cheapest from there and I've also got a £1 off coupon so will be a good price of £6 for 24 cans.

Will need to go to the next town tomorrow in the opposite direction as have now run out of baked beans and we like the Lidl ones so will probably pick up the rest of what we need while we're down there.  Will also go up to DD1s as have some stuff to take over to her and she is just a bit further on from the town centre and will be WFH tomorrow.

    Today's plan:

    B - mushroom omelette - P; S
    L - toasted cheese sandwich - HEA2; HEB
D - savoury mince, mash & veg (was going to do shepherds pie but decided it just isn't worth the cost of putting the oven or grill on!) - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - none planned

Have a good day and keep safe and warm everyone.

Morning all, for once I don't have snow!  It is bitingly cold, everywhere white with frost and looks lovely from the living room window  :D

Well done to all the losers and maintainers.  I managed a wee half pound off on Saturday but was out for lunch later that day and dinner last night so it's probably jumped back on.

I thought I was saving time doing my food shop when I took my parents but I'm finding I'm not doing a proper shop every week as it's just too hectic and stressful trying to sort and pack both loads. Will think it over and come up with a new plan for the start of the year.

Is it just me or does everyone else find time just running away from them at the moment? Thankfully, gifts are all done just need to wrap now.

    Today's plan:
B - bran flakes (HEXB), f/f Greek yoghurt, raspberries
    L - lentil soup
D - fish goujons, chips, peas, sweetcorn, carrots, green beans
Syns - 6 for my share of goujons, 2 tartare sauce

Have a good day all, stay warm.
