Welcome back @joedenise, really glad you enjoyed the holiday but you are probably feeling especially brrrr now you're back and the freeze is here!

I walked to the local shop today to drop off a free return (ordered the same pair of Vans twice for DS2 doh). Popped into M&S next door in the filling station and got a pot of fruit (grapes, melon, pineapple) plus some mini M&S jaffa cakes. The JCs are 1 syn each so I'm going to save them for Sunday when we're on our 13k charity walk! I also bought BOGOF Tangfastics for the (adult) children.

Dinner ended up as a big plate of rice plus half each of both the chicken and chickpea curry and the mixed bean goulash!

@maman - We've decided to take the washing to the launderette as worked out there are still about 5 machine loads if I do it at home so would probably take a week or more to get it all done!  It looks like a Chinese laundry as it is with the wet washing on the airer plus some stuff hanging up in the shower on hangers - just hoping it'll be dry in the morning - we've left the door closed so it's a bit warmer in there than usual!

@Coxy11- it definitely feels extremely brrr after temps in the high teens/early 20s for the last couple of weeks - even when it rained.

    Morning!

Well the garden looks like a Winter paradise brrr! We wrapped up well for the cinema last night - big guns padded knee length coat came out plus hat and gloves! I can honestly say I've not seen any of Die Hard before...thought maybe I'd seen bits of it (like the Sound of Music) but no - all a complete surprise! Very 90's though, especially the hair!

WI this morning - I think it'll be a STS if I'm lucky. Going to a waxing appointment afterwards so I've packed pain relief with my overnight oats! Haircut this afternoon. In between I'll be getting my eyebrows threaded (3 different salons) and wrapping gifts. I have very little tape so need to buy some.

Dinner tonight is a YS whole chicken which I will roast later with some mini new potatoes, bns, carrots, broccoli and green beans. DH is having to fix yet another thing on DS1s car and then take it back for an MOT retest. Think my waxing appointment is possibly less painful than lying under a car in this weather!

    Have a good day all,
    Coxy

It's a beautiful day here too @Coxy11, blue sky and sun sparkling on the frost. Ideally viewed through the window!🤣

I'm out again this evening at a 'posh frock' do but really undecided about what to wear. I know I'll warm up a bit when dancing but I'm just shivering at the thought of sleeveless!

Meal is provided tonight. I've heard it's chicken but that's all I know. I've had a SW breakfast (fry up) so far.

    Back on plan tomorrow.  😁

Morning all, up early this morning so DH and I could take my friend to hospital for a scan, unfortunately it wasn't a local hospital but one over an hour away!  She also needed to get her Covid booster done which was on the way home but a bit of a detour!  We ended up in the local town for breakfast at Spoons - had already had some toast and Marmite before we left so just had some eggs Benedict and a cup of tea but still about 10 syns!  Not long been back so going to make a quick 2 pea soup for lunch as it only takes about 15 minutes in the pressure cooker using some dried peas, an onion, a potato and some petit pois added after the rest is cooked at pressure.

    So today's food:

    B - toast, marmite - HEB; 3.5; F
    mid morning - eggs Benedict - 10
    L - 2 pea soup - S; F
    D - Barnsley chop, mash, veg - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - eggs Benedict 10; butter 3.5

It's definitely feeling much warmer now than it did when we went out at 7 o'clock this morning!  Will definitely need some heating on this evening I think.

    Have a good day everyone.

Well done @bubbs on the 1.5lb loss today!  Looks like you need the syns in order to lose which is how I used to be although now I really need to stick to around 10 or 11 a day in order to get a loss.  Might be better if I cut the syns back further but not going to do that.
