Morning all,
Great WL @annabanana82So sorry to hear about your Mum's fall though. I do hope she's okay. Seems to be the season for it....
Lovely food pics @bubbs - do you put lentils in the soup - looks really thick mmmmmm
I might join you in the washing/outdoor drying quest @joedenise!
I was lucky to get some orzo salad at lunchtime yesterday as M&S had stocked up. Ended up on 11.5 syns as I had a little gin and slimline tonic last night. We watched the first 2 episodes of Dahmer on Netflix and it was extremely tense!
Food today:
B - poached egg, mushrooms, 1 x WM toast - P, S, 1/2 HEB
L - JP, baked beans, cheese - 1, HEA
D - liver, tomatoes, onions, broccoli, carrots, rice - P, S
HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
Syns - 1
Have a good day everyone

Is fish and chips a pre-holiday tradition @joedenise? 🤔 Lovely idea. 😊
Glad that M&S had the orzo in stock @Coxy11, they seem to do a couple of options that are quite low syn. Definitely one to look out for when on the move.
DH won't be home in time for dinner tonight so I can please myself. 😁 For a change, I'm not going to have egg and chips! 🤣 I've got chilli to portion for the freezer so may keep some of that out for me. My plan is to do some meal (for 2) sizes and some single ones for using with a JP. I've also got some pasta sauce left from last night so plenty of choice.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, fried eggs, bacon (P) tomatoes (S)
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- JP (F), veggie chilli (F, P, S), cottage cheese (S)
Syns- 00 -
No @maman not a pre-holiday tradition. I normally make Cornish pasties but I haven't got any skirt beef at the moment and DH really doesn't like them made with minced beef since I changed to the traditional skirt! But normally we'd be going away in the motorhome so usually it was our first meal, usually lunch, on the train to France! We'd share one on the way over and then have the other one shared for our evening meal. I make enormous pasties - I just can't seem to make small ones no matter how hard I try! They only just fit onto my largest baking sheet which only just fits on the shelf in the oven!
I think DH will miss the pasty but he'll still enjoy F&C from the chippie!

Great loss @annabanana82 - hope your Mum is feeling a little better today.
@joedenise last thing you need is me asking about a recipe when your rushing off - but what are LO faggots - just love them!! If I don't get time have a wonderful holiday and enjoy the sun. My neighbours left in May to live in Spain....really miss them, but happy for them to live there dream.
Made me laugh this morning on TV seems Cornwall are not pleased with Greggs opening shops in county....well honestly if they think Greggs pasties match the ones I had in Cornwall - they need not worry.😊

🤞it'll be worth a trip to the Company Shop for you @bubbs. I went last week and there wasn't much in the way of meat at all. Fortunately I got some fish bargains to make up for it but it's OK for me as it's only 10 minutes up the road.
I think you and your friend go to other places as well, so have a good time. 😊0 -
@bubbs is indeed right - LO = left overs; HM = home made.
@Vegastare - I posted the recipe on one of the threads on Old Style board but can't remember which one! Will find the recipe in my folder tomorrow and post it on here.
Hope you get plenty of bargains at Company Shop tomorrow @bubbs like you usually do.

Morning all,
Have been awake since about 5am - lots of stuff going round my overly active brain! Spoke to DMum last night - "have you spoken to DSis today" I asked "No, why?" errr it's the anniversary?? "Oh yes I knew it was coming up" WTH?? This is what I mean about being detached and unemotional. Just can't understand it - her own grandson/daughter for goodness sake.
Sorry but needed to let that out.
Onto food. The liver last night was nice. I fried off an onion, garlic and some mini sweet peppers that I'd frozen. Added chopped tomatoes and a little red wine. In another pan we cooked some basmati rice, and in a 3rd pan we browned off the liver - I'd cut it into little bite-sized pieces. We then combined it all together. Free, tasty and lots of protein. I dislike handling raw meat at the best of times, so was very brave and actually cut the liver with scissors. No tubes or nasty bits - probably because it was from Donald Russell.
Food today:
B - poached egg, mushrooms, 1 x WM toast - P, S, 1/2 HEB
L - JP, tuna, LTL mayo and balsamic - 2
D - LO chicken curry and rice (made enough for 4 portions on Tuesday night) - 3.5 for the sauce
HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
Syns - 5.5
Hope you find some bargains at Company Shop @bubbs
Have a good day all,
