Certainly worth a trip to Asda, if not the Company Shop @bubbs. That's a monster size chicken! 🤣

Wow  @bubbs you got some good bargains.  The salad with the figs looks lovely.

@joedenise have a wonderful holiday Denise.  Yes the coucous is an idea and also have that in cupboard @maman.

Popped in Sainsbury today...and still weird with up turned boxes with no fruit or veg....the fresh bread looked like it was baked yesterday - DH likes there bread.  I really think they just work towards the Friday and weekend, popped in Morrisons and really well stocked.

Wow - great bargains from Asda @bubbs!  I don't often go to Asda but did manage to get some cheap salad a while back when I popping in one after about 4pm - everything was 10p.

Will be an early night tonight as need to get up about 3am!  Still it will be worth it for a nice all inclusive holiday and also catching up with sister who I haven't seen since before Christmas last year.  We do speak a couple of times a week on the phone but it's not the same as face to face.

Hi all. Hope everyone is well.

Hubby is going for a colonoscopy on Saturday morning, so he’s got to be careful with what he’s eating in the lead up to it and has got to fast from 9am Friday, just allowed limited liquids.

Went shopping yesterday as had the day off work. Didn’t really buy a lot. Got to buy the youngest daughter some car mats and an air pump. Can’t remember if I posted this but she passed her test on the 20th October and her grandad had given her his car (he has bought a new one). Wrapped up some birthday presents as it’s my oldest daughter’s birthday next Wednesday. Usually let her have her birthday before we do anything Christmassy.

Was naughty yesterday while out and went to the hungry Horse. Had a burger and sweet potato fries. Was nice but the bun wasn’t very fresh. 😢

Weigh in tonight, so will see how that pans out.

    Have a lovely day everyone.

    Xx

eta:- meant to ask what company shop is please?

Morning all.  Hope you have a lovely holiday @joedenise and those are some amazing bargains you picked up @bubbs 👍Good luck with weigh in @Abbafan1972 and well done to your daughter on passing her test!  The Company Shop is like a discount food shop that sells off things from pretty much all supermarkets.  You have to be a "member" to shop there and there - can't remember if there are any restrictions.  Bubbs will be able to explain it better than me!

Have woken up with a sore throat and feeling a bit congested - probably picked something up over the weekend 😒  Supposed to be going out for dinner tonight with friends for our pre-Christmas gathering but we'll have to see...

Hope everyone has a good day!

🤞🏼 the meal yesterday doesn't catch up before WI @Abbafan1972

Hope your DH's tests go smoothly on Saturday. 🤗

I'm sure @bubbs will explain properly but as @ruby_eskimo said, you have to be eligible to join the Company Shop and then hope there's one in your area.
About Us | The Company Shop Group

Hope you feel well enough to get out with your friends this evening @ruby_eskimo. I always enjoy the weeks leading up to Christmas.

My excellent news is that I went to WI and lost 1.5lbs!  😁👍🏼 I'm back in target range and I'm delighted. It means I can relax for the next few weeks and don't have to go to WI until the middle of January. I won't be going mad, will stick to plan whenever I can but it's such a relief. I find that I actually prefer healthy, SW friendly food but it's not always an option when eating out.

An NSV on the side is that I tried on a pencil skirt that I've been avoiding (clingy, size 12) and it fits fine. 😊

Been thinking of @joedenise who's probably basking in the sun by now. It's blowing a gale here and pouring down. ☔

@maman congrats on the WL.  I've been thinking of Denise too...lovely to meet up with her sister on holiday, far better than one of them driving through the British winter for a visit.

WL for me was just1lb but am heading down which is great.

Well yes it has rained - but a lunch time it was like a mini hurricane the trees were spinning and two plant pots went over and it looked more like 5pm it went so dark.
