Morning!
Well done on the STS @ruby_eskimo and the 1lb loss @beanielou
Busy day in the office yesterday. Messaged DS2 whilst having my M&S veg sushi as he loves sushi. It was okay - have had better from Ts tbh. DS2 said go to Itsu which funnily enough is next door to my office but there's always a queue down the street. Got to Victoria early for my train and went into the Itsu there for a look - £8 for a box of sushi - I mean, I'm sure it's lovely but even so... Was on the train home and it was an all -stopper. Lady sat next to me and got off mid-way to my stop. Only realised once we started moving again that she'd left an Itsu bag on the floor with 2(!) boxes of sushi inside!! so I brought them home as not really something you can hand into lost property and it was shut anyway! DS1 dropped pup off earlier and has taken one for lunch and I'll have the other as DH still away - just so spooky.
Got through the Quorn cottage pie with the aid of some BBQ sauce. Just overpowered by the swede mash I think @maman? Will stick to chilli in the future.
Food today:
B - poached egg, spinach, 1 x WM toast - P, 1/2 HEB
L - Itsu sushi - 5.5
D - Meatballs/Spaghetti/HM arrabiata sauce - 3
HEA - milk
HEA - parmesan
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
Syns - 8.5
@bubbs - yes, a crane! Like this one but no 'crown':

Morning all. Well done on the loss @beanie and love the doggy pictures @bubbs. That is rather spooky @Coxy11 😳 I love sushi and Itsu is expensive but very good for a high street chain, hope you enjoy the freebies!
Weather is grey and gloomy here. Had a really frustrating work call yesterday and accidentally sent the summary intended for my boss to the person who was leading the call 😬😬😬 Couldn't recall it in time before she read it but haven't had a reply from her - wasn't too scathing in what I wrote and to be honest they needed to hear my comments again but still was so embarrassing! Hoping for no mess ups today! Have to take DH to the hospital this evening for his foot injection and it's a 7pm so dinner is going to be a challenge. Will probably end up ordering a pizza as DH will be feeling sorry for himself! Had porridge with an apple for breakfast and lunch is going to be soup.
Right better get going, hope you all have a good day!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Morning all, a very windy day today and rain forecast for later but at least there's no fog this morning and I actually had a lay in until 6.45 this morning! Going to be a busy day. DH has dentist this morning and I'll do the shopping we need while he's there as the dentist is in the same town as Tesco. I'm having my hair cut in about half an hour's time but the hairdresser comes to my house to do that- much cheaper and I don't have to worry about getting somewhere else on time!
Once we get home from the town it'll be time to start thinking about some lunch as need an early lunch as I have an appointment with a Cardiologist as my GP can't give me extra statins because of side effects and my cholesterol just keeps going up and up. He's hoping that the Cardiologist can come up with something which will help lower it! It's not as if I have loads of fat is it? Probably don't exercise enough but don't think that would lower it by much. So will be interesting to see what he has to say!
Well done @beanielou on your lb loss and @ruby_eskimo your maintain. I'm not holding out much hope for WI tomorrow as by my scales it looks as though I've actually gone up a little bit (only 0.2lb but it takes me to the next half pound which could be a gain of half lb on SW scales!). I've definitely not had more than 105 syns this week but did have that day where I had at least 28 syns but suppose it could have been more! Will have to wait and see.
Today's plan:
B - toasted cheese sandwich - HEA2; HEB
L - smoked salmon salad - P; S
D - Five spiced pork fillet, rice, green beans - P; S; F; 2
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - cornflour 0.5; 0.5 tsp oil 1; 0.5 tsp honey 0.5
Have a good day everyone.

Talking about sushi....that was our keep on plan item for the concert yesterday.
Eldest son broached the subject of food before we had even got on the train and said he would like to keep it cheap, as did his companion, so I told them about the Tesco Express close to the venue and they thought it a very good idea, so that is what we did. I had sushi followed by a watermelon pot.
I did have a couple of wavery moments when people were walking past my seat on the train with sausage rolls (both on the way there and on the way back) and the food looked and smelled amazing at the venue, very tempting but I held fast and made do with a cup of tea and middle son had tap water (you wouldn't believe my excitement and gratitude when a stand said, yes, they do have tea).
Concert was a bit faffy, eldest son had been unable to get a wheelchair bay when they went on sale but spoke to someone who sold him tickets that were still supposedly step free, at the end of a row and very accessible. The reality was that they were down a steep flight of steps, in the middle of a very long row and absolutely not accessible at all and although I did attempt it, I couldn't even get down to the row, let alone along it to my seat. Eldest was at the time dropping my chair off at customer services and he managed to talk to them and get me and middle son reassigned to a wheelchair bay whilst they stayed in their original seats and our original seats were reassigned to the couple who had been in front of eldest son at customer services whose tickets were not what they had paid for either.
We only just made the final train home from Stratford, seconds to spare thanks to eldest not reading the bag policy at the O2 and a tube train developing an issue and terminating one stop from Stratford!
Blooming long day, feel very fatigued and second hand today but absolutely and completely worth it and we get to do it all over again next week, except for that we will be staying over and probably not staying on plan all the time (although we do know of a very handy Sainsbury local near the venue)We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Glad you were able to choose something SW friendly @SingleSue but sounds like a right palaver getting your access sorted. What did you see?
I've just had the Itsu sushi for lunch - couldn't finish it - was c.16 pieces. Can confirm it's much nicer than M&S sushi though

Glad you enjoyed your sushi @Coxy11. I'm sure the lady who left it behind would prefer it was eaten than binned. Spooky tale though. I wonder if they sell smaller portions than 16 pieces? 🤔
I've made cottage pie before with swede and carrot mash but only with minced beef. My recipe uses Oxo cubes so strong enough to take the swede I suppose.
Nightmare access issues at your concert @SingleSue but good that you all agreed on the mse food solution which made it SW friendly too. 😊
That was a long lie in compared with the last two mornings @joedenise! 🤣 It's frustrating when the SW scales hover before showing the weight. Hopefully they'll be kind to you. When you're dealing with fine margins in target range that half pound matters!
Oops! @ruby_eskimo, that could have been a potential disaster with the email. We've all been there. 😉
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, fried eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), spring onions, beetroot and cornichons (S)
D- sausage casserole (F, S, P ), pasta (F)
Syns - Aldi sausages 10 -
Well I have some great news....drum roll - I am typing this sat in lounge with my laptop on my knee....the joy, you never realize how you miss things. Still all sorted I hope.
Had a early start this am for Xmas delivery slot Tesco, was about 22300 on list but only 30 min wait and my local Tesco had no slots taken on the Friday....last year it was like gold. Hubby office is cold first thing. Must admit I am a bit miffed though the whole turkey is not from UK - guess supply issues. Booked one anyway but might try and drive and see if I can get a bronze frozen one from Tesco or Sainsbury.
Must admit I like brown meat rather than breast but DH would have a turkey crown. @maman did you manage to buy one.!
Hope all goes well with cardiologist @joedenise.
Rained all morning - but brighter this afternoon, just wondering if I should go out or leave till tomorrow. Openreach didn't leave till lunch and late taking dog out so just sitting down with cuppa.
B 1Wbix FF yog blues and rasp
L baked beans on toast with mushrooms and toms lite butter spread 2 syns
D SW beef stew carrot mash green beans beetroot.
HEB 1 x wbix and 1 x bread
HEA Milk
sysn 2 and 3 hifi

Afternoon all, it's been raining non stop since about 9.30 this morning but it's easing off now.
All went well with the cardiologist and she's just said I need to increase my tablets as my body is very different to when I had problems before! I hope I don't end up with such severe cramps that I can't walk again which is what happened last time they were increased!
She's suggested I double my dose today and then alternate with since and double doses for a while and then increase to double doe every day. She said the tablets I'm on now are much stronger than those I was taking nearly 20 years ago when I had the problems! She's also said I need to attend a Lipid Clinic! No idea what they will suggest when I finally get there in a year's time!!! She told me I definitely shouldn't try to lose any more weight - but I told her I'm just trying to stay within the target 6lb range which she said is a good weight range for me so nice to know I picked a good target!
Glad you've got your internet back @Vegastare. Hope BT give you a decent amount of compensation for the inconvenience - it's been a long time.
Smoked salmon salad wasn't really enough for lunch and it was very early so feeling peckish now but don't want to snack so just going to have a nice cup of tea and then start cooking dinner and we'll have it early at about 5 o'clock. I'll syn some crackers and Primula Light for supper tonight if I need something.

Glad you got on okay with the cardiologist @joedenise and great news that she's happy with your target range.
Whoohoo @Vegastare - welcome back to the world of tech!!
Oops @ruby_eskimo - that could've been embarrassing with the email. My boss is always emailing stuff to the wrong people lol!
