Hard luck @Jellybaby and not the most helpful of remarks from consultant.☹️ I'm sure it's one of those (frequent) situations where sticking to plan doesn't show up in a convenient weekly pattern. Keep plodding! 😊

@Jellybaby - agree with @maman that the consultant's comment wasn't really helpful at all - it's frustrating but unfortunately it happens. It happened a couple of weeks ago to me but it was only half lb but still it was annoying as I'd stuck completely to plan and then last week still on plan and lost lb (which as you've probably gathered by now is a good loss for me!). I'm sure she's right that it will come off next week and hopefully a bigger loss.
I think it's probably better to look at your losses over a month rather than weekly - we all know that our weight goes up and down the whole time and with SW it's just convenient to weigh on the same day at the same time.
As @beanielou says "keep plodding"!

Thanks everyone, it is frustrating, but I’ve been doing this long enough to know to keep going and chipping away. Bloody infuriating though!0

Morning all, what a horrible day with the fog - it's only just cleaning now.
We were up early this morning to go to the airport to pick up DD1 and her partner, unfortunately we got the wrong day! It's tomorrow morning! She's leaving the resort today but not arriving until the early hours of tomorrow morning! So have to do it all over again tomorrow. I thought her flight number had been changed as there was a plane arriving this morning at a similar time to hers from the same airport. It didn't help that she actually asked if we'd be able to pick her up on the Sunday they came back! Really annoying but can't be helped so it's going to be another early one - up at 3.30am again!!!
Today's plan:
B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
L - pulled pork in BBQ sauce in wholemeal roll - HEB; P; S; F
D - gammon steaks, new potatoes, mushrooms, corn on the cob - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - roll
Syns - sausages 2; spiced rum and ginger beer 2.5
Have a good day everyone.

Mornng!
Urgh 1lb on a group - weigh lady said "that's not like you!" - helpful!! I didn't stay as I had my flu jab booked. Got home and did all the jobs - so grotty defrosting the freezer but needs must. I always resolve to do it 6 monthly instead of 12 monthly but never stick to it! Back is killing me this morning, so clearly over did the dusting @beanielou!
Jalfrezi was from SW website @maman - I have some HG chillies in the freezer so will add those when we have it for dinner this week
DH went to meet some friends early evening so we didn't have the meatballs. I was really rubbish with food yesterday and had very little, and what I did have wasn't on plan (cheese and crackers for dinner anyone?!). Back on the wagon today. Need to do a food shop.
Food planned:
B - beans on 2 WM toast - HEB
L -
D - quorn cottage pie with swede and carrot topping, stringless beans, broccoli - S, F
HEA - milk
OMG @joedenise to your early start - you will need a nap later!
Lovely doggie photos @bubbs - I have a metal crane by my pond!!
We are off to a retail park later, then will do 'extreme ironing' if my back will let me!
Have a good day all.

I'm in a much better mood today and have got my head in a bit better place than yesterday, tomorrow I will be going with the flow and not getting myself in such a tizz. There is a Tesco express very close to the venue, so that does give options for me and middle son and we could always keep ourselves busy whilst eldest son and friend have a sit down meal, who knows, they might want to join us in the cheaper option. Mind you, think middle son has already decided he is just going to have what he wants, so it could just be me sitting outside abandoned in the wheelchair while they all eat...hope the rain stays off!
Lunch today we are going to try out the SW burgers and put them with the SW roast potatoes and steamed veg, I'll probably do a sneaky gravy with them too (not SW so will have to syn it).
Dinner - Who knows, probably an omelette (with ham, babybel as part of my HEA and onions in it) and some crab sticks. I forgot to put pickled onions on my shopping delivery which is a begger. Might do one pot of our microwave rice between us to bulk it out a little at half a syn each.
The rest will be bananas and easy peelers, I don't eat breakfast.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Roast potatoes were nice, had to do a thin gravy with stock cubes as couldn’t find the gravy but the burgers were awful. Far too much pepper in them that took over the rest of the meal.We made it! Shame about the gain @Coxy11. It's only small but I don't remember you eating anything untoward last week. 🤔 I think perhaps we need a 'Keep Plodding with SW' thread! 🤣 Well done for having a SP topping on your cottage pie. 👍🏼
Hope you're still awake @joedenise. It may be an unearthly hour but hopefully less traffic on the road. Hope it's the same tomorrow. 🤞🏼
Glad you're in a better mindset today @SingleSue. Not surprised you didn't like the SW burgers. People tell me the sausages aren't much cop either. As far as this thread is concerned, not many positive reports of their meals. Even at my group (where consultant works in Iceland) they are rarely mentioned.
Syns are there to be enjoyed so do use them. Unless you're saving them up, what are you planning to use the other 14.5 syns for today? 🤣
I kept back a small portion of the chicken supreme from last night. If anything, it tasted even better today. I wish I'd kept a bigger portion! To pad it out, I quickly microwaved a potato and then sliced it to fry up with other bits of veg.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, fried eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
L- LO chicken (P, S), leaves and pickled cabbage (S), potato and veg hash (F, S)
D- beef in 'red wine' (P, S), roast potatoes (F), many vegetables (S)
Syns- cornflour 1, weekend wine😊0 -
I'm still awake @maman! Actually not feeling too bad at the moment. I've been doing a bit of sewing and have nearly finished the skirt I'm making out of the dress I couldn't work out!!! I've had to do a bit of juggling with the fabric to fit it in. Just need to add a hook and eye at the top of the back seam above the zip but can't find any so it won't get finished for a few days as have had to order some from Amazon as we don't have a local haberdashery any longer. It closed down right at the start of Covid. The lady who owned it has now set up a shop in a studio in her back garden and a mail order service but her postage prices are ridiculous so it's easier just to use Amazon with the free delivery with Prime membership! Ive also ordered myself some new scissors as mine are so old they're not cutting very well.
After the hook and eye it will need pressing and then the hem turning up so it should certainly be finished before I go on holiday. As the fabric is quite dressy it will be good to wear in the evenings.
Just doing a bit of crochet at the moment but needed a break as my arthritis is playing up a bit. Once the pain has eased I'll do a bit more.
I don't know anyone who like the SW meals apart from my old consultant although she did admit it was because it was quick and easy just to shove in the microwave! Personally I'd rather cook and then freeze my own ready meals which can be shoved in the microwave if that's the case. I do tend to intersperse my menu plan with stuff from the freezer.
