@bubbs is Willow a cocker spaniel looks just like one I had - my boy is black and a grand old age of 14 coming 15 later this month.

@joedenise BT gets worse....text update today with message basically apologising and update next week.  But of course it is Openreach who have nothing what so ever to do with BT. (and pigs can fly).

Never mind I can still post on here so not all bad.

So lovely today we went a walk up by the harbour - sun shining and warmer outside than in and yes @joedenise I got a line of washing out in the sun.

Wow @bubbs that heron doesn't look real. Amazing photo. 😊

Meant to ask if the chicken jalfrezi that you and @joedenise had was a SW recipe @Coxy11? Weve not had curry for ages and wondered whether adding a chilli might heat it up? 🤔

We're having deconstructed chicken pie tonight @Vegastare. 😁 I'm using Jamie Oliver's one pan recipe with a few tweaks but leaving out the pastry so a bit like chicken supreme.

I'll use the mustard but probably thicken it with Primula so unlikely to need cornflour.

    Today's EE plan-
    B- HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- JP (F), prawns (P), salad (S)
    D- chicken supreme (P, S, HEA2), potato cubes (F), asparagus (S)
Syns- mustard 1, LTL mayo 1, weekend wine😁

My chicken jalfrezi was from a Student cookbook so probably not as hot as it should have been but we enjoyed it nonetheless!  When I use chilli in a curry I usually use a couple of whole ones which I just stab so you get the flavour without too much heat - it seems to work.  If I haven't got any chillies then I just use a few chilli flakes although it's been a long time since I've run out of chillies as I keep them in the freezer, same as the root ginger; both can be used from frozen; in fact the ginger grates easier from frozen as the skin stays on the surface and the grated ginger falls through the grater.

I've cooked the coq au vin blanc this afternoon using the solar so it definitely cost far less than if I'd cooked it tonight!  Just need to add some veg when I reheat it and cook some potatoes.

It's standing so still it looks like one of those decoys that people use to protect a fishpond.

How many sisters do you have? 🤔

I've had a good afternoon prepping tonight's meal and tomorrow's dinner. We're going to a Remembrance ceremony in the morning so it'll save me time.

    Evening all,

1.5 on at WI. I am not amused! Consultant said ‘get back on plan’ and it will come off next week.
Apart from a slice of thick toast and an extra spoonful of jam I wasn’t off plan 🙈. Even then, I probably had more than enough syns to cover.  Can only keep plodding on …

Well done to all the losers and dogs are gorgeous @bubbs
