That was a good night out @Coxy11! Though I won't fight you for the Bountys - bleugh 🤢
Mouth is obviously better as I mooched around the kitchen cupboards and fridge but ended up going to bed as I couldn't find 'something' (thankfully 😁).

Oh @bubbs just read your post and it pulled at my heartstring it is so very difficult, my Mum would ask a question over and over and it was like she couldn't retain your answer, then suddenly she would be Mum again. I bet your poor sister was in a state with both Dad and then Mum. Goodness knows what they were doing Thurs morning but - there was an loud howling noise from the phones....then no signal or internet. Plus we had no power from 8.30 till 10 am.....but the scales still worked and I lost a 1lb. Next week I am aiming for 2lb.

Morning all, lovely and bright today so going to get the bedding washed and out on the line. Should dry nicely as there's a little bit of breeze too.
Need to go shopping again as nearly out of yoghurt again! I bought 2 big tubs earlier this week but it's disappearing fast! Doesn't help that we're having fruit and yoghurt every evening I suppose!
Today's plan:
B - porridge; frozen strawberries, blueberries and cherries - HEB; S; F
L - LO aromatic pork - P; S; F
D - salt and pepper fish fingers, chips, peas and green beans - P; S; F; 5
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - panko breadcrumbs 2.5; tartare sauce 2; horseradish 0.5; couple of rum & ginger beer 5
Decided to have a 0% gin and tonic last night and couldn't drink it! I bought a different brand and it has no gin taste at all - it was horrible! DH has emailed the company to complain - wonder how they will respond! Will stick to Gordons in future!
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. Happy belated birthday @bubbs 🥳 hope your parents manage to get things sorted - it's good for your dad to get out to the day centre for himself as well as for your mum to have a much needed break.
Weather yesterday caused havoc with my journeys to and from work - was over 2.5 hours each way stuck in traffic due to flooding and accidents so dinner ended up being a couple of slices of toast and a cup of tea.
Haven't had breakfast today, but lunch is more vegetable soup and probably with some bread. No idea what dinner is going to be - we have some gousto meals to use up and DH wants to see what he's in the mood for when it gets to dinner time 🙄
Oh and for those who want more meal inspiration, I find a lot of recipes on Instagram that are easy to modify. The vegetable soup I made this week was inspired by a vegan "chicken pot pie" soup recipe I saw on there, and my favorite lentil soup recipe is also an IG find.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -

OMG @beanielou, that's terrible!
Mine is very 'fattest' - has been on a diet ever since I was a child and asked my sister recently "what size are you now...?". She hoards food too - it's like a food disorder.
Change of plan for lunch! DH was interviewing from 11am-1.30pm in the kitchen so I couldn't even switch the kettle on! I walked the puppy then went to the library to exchange some books. Popped into Sains for the SOTW donation (this week stringless beans!) and bought some mango and bananas plus some rice cakes. Ate the rice cakes on the way home and have just eaten the mango chunks. Managed to get some ys diced chicken breast, so that's now in the freezer to have next week sometime.
Hope the internet issues have resolved themselves @Vegastare and great news about the 1lb off.
Lovely bright breezy day here so washing is out. Unfortunately 2 doors down are having an extension and today's the day they are tarring the roof so it really smells! Hoping my washing will escape the pong!

Well done on your pound off @Vegastare. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Hope your internet gets sorted PDQ!
Lovely day here too. Bedding and towels all dried and put away. 😁 I leafleted neighbouring roads for the foodbank Christmas appeal, and it was beautiful in the sunshine.
A (very) few extra syns have crept in the past couple of nights as I've had some chocolate. DD brought round this Cadbury's bar with mystery filling (still no idea what it is🤔) and, although I don't normally eat milk chocolate, it's so sweet that a couple of squares is enough to hit the spot. It's 0.6 syn per square so I've had 1.2 syns so far! Not in your league though @bubbs! 🤣
Boo to mothers (or anyone else) making fattist comments @beanielou! 👿 I must admit that I feel my eyebrows raising when I see the state of some people, but I keep my thoughts to myself. 😉
I did my meal plan and shop for the week. I went to Lidl as well today as there were a few things I needed specifically from there. Red onions were 59p per kg @joedenise, I think it was you planning to make onion chutney. 🤔
Good ideas for recipes @ruby_eskimo. I think it's great that the Gusto recipes are available online as their meals are fairly SW friendly.
Well done for contributing something decent to the SOTW basket @Coxy, so many don't.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), HEA milk for drinks
L- mackerel in mustard sauce (P), salad and beetroot (S)
D- fishcakes, SW chips (F), roast vegetables (S)
Syns- Morrison's fishcakes 2, weekend wine😁0 -
Hi all, sorry I haven’t been on for a while but just wanted to check in.Had a taster session last night at group and have to say was disappointed as I made bread pudding, only 2 people had some of it and one of those people was me, so I ended up bringing most of it back. There was nothing wrong with it. xStriving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £24,616.090

Thanks @maman for the info about red onions, it was me saying I was going to make some chutney but think I'm going to leave it until the new year as have enough for now and have quite a lot of stuff to do before our holiday which is only a few weeks away now! I was hoping to get my dress made but it's not going very well at the moment so taking me far longer than it ought to! My friend is coming up tomorrow so she's going to have a look and she if she can see why it won't fit together.
Where did you get your mackerel in mustard sauce from? Haven't seen that in this country but have bought it in France before when we're been over there.
How did you make your bread pudding @Abbafan1972 and how many syns? Looks really nice.
