Just didn't click that you would be making a taster just because @Abbafan1972 had mentioned it - maybe I wasn't really thinking!

Not had a baked apple for ages.  Think I might get some Bramley's this week and slot one into the menu plan somewhere - just need to check what day I don't need porridge or bread!  I'll just have it with yoghurt probably though.

Thanks @bubbs.  Hopefully they'll still have them on Tuesday when I go.  Need to go to Lidl this week as need milk and Lidl is the cheapest place to get the UHT milk which we use.  I also want to go to The Food Warehouse and that's in the same town.

12 Yorkshires for 5 syns. 6 thoroughly enjoyed today and 6 for the freezer. That's 1.25 syns per person. Amazing! 😁

How on earth do you get 12 yorkies from 25g of flour?  I only seem to be able to get about4 or 5!

It's @bubbs recipe. 25g flour, 2 eggs, salt and some water (I did add splash of milk too)..it's quite a shallow patty tin so they're not huge. Have done it before with muffin tin and got bigger ones.

Maybe my patty tins are a bit deeper than yours.  They're certainly not muffin sized though!

The weather is horrible again this morning and rain is forecast until 3pm so I won't be getting any washing done again today.  It's supposed to be dry tomorrow but it's getting to the stage I'm going to have to do it tomorrow or I'm going to have an overflowing washing basket, so hopefully the forecast is right!

I've given up with the dress I was making as it just didn't want to go together - it's certainly the weirdest pattern I've ever come across!  I went through my other patterns and found a skirt pattern which I can get from the salvageable pieces of the dress pattern.  The skirt is just a basic A-line on a waistband with a zip in one seam.  It's supposed to be a side zip but as I'm reusing fabric which has already been cut I'm going to have to put it in the back seam but quite honestly I think that's a better position for it.

    Today's plan:

    B - scrambled eggs & spinach on toast - HEB; P; S
L - leek and potato soup (got a couple of leeks which need using up!) - S; F
    D - stifado, mash, veg - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but may have some water biscuits with Primula Light for a few syns.

    Have a good day everyone.
