Firstly - update on Openreach....yesterday told 48 hours, then text y'day afternoon and says Friday.  Guess I am lucky I can sit in DH office and get a signal to do stuff, but not like having tablet or laptop on your knee.

Ladies I have been struggling with washing too.  Did small load y,day and today.....in and out wish I'd left it till tomorrow but with DH home this week the towels really heap up...plus his every ready stomach.  Update on his fancies, in fridge last night and asked when I was out shopping next as we had no fruit.....wow says I with pears apples oranges half a water melon right in his line of sight and blueberries.  i was not amused.

Sorry I can't send you bramleys @joedenise - we have two trees and I have never seen so many as this year, given so many away and still there are some on the tree.  I have put some away in paper in the garage(late Dad did this) they keep till Xmas and have stewed some with Agave - they don't seem to need to much sweetening as some are quite red.

B 1 wbix apple blues and FF yog
L  open ham salad sandwich tomes and beetroot watermelon
D  Sw meatballs hmade tom sauce spag mushroom and baby toms

    Hea  grated parm cheese Milk
Heb bread and wbix x 1 each.  Syns skinny bar.

Plus I actually went in a Lidl today - not been in one for over a year, some nice steak and would you believe Skinny Mint bars.  @maman they had frozen small turkey duck and goose too.

@bubbs they gala pie recipe looks lovely on my to do list.  Can I ask what beef was on offer in Morrisons.  Again not somewhere I go often - but not far from my hairdresser and due a cut soon.

Thanks @Vegastare; I would gladly have taken some Bramleys off your hands if I lived near you.  My DH would have been really happy as he loves a nice apple pie.  I did manage to get some from Lidl so we'll be having mincemeat stuffed apples tomorrow night for after dinner with some yoghurt as not planning on having an HEB during the day.

Vegastare think it's top rump , not 100% sure though, they did have salmon cut on offer but not as cheap. I have never tried salmon cut but heard it's supposed to be lovely, it did look VERY NICE 😋

You might be forever on the go @bubbs but still found the time to post your meatloaf recipe. It really looks professional standard with all the photos. Excellent! 👍

Looks like I won't have a problem getting a turkey. I was concerned with all the talk of problems with bird flu. Thanks all. 😊

And still the endless delays with Open reach go on @Vegastare. ☹️

    Morning all,

I agree that the meatloaf looked really great - well done @bubbs!
I too was wondering about availability of turkey @maman - we usually get a crown and also do a leg of lamb. I'm not buying just yet as need to eat down the freezers to make some space!

In washing news(!) I've a load on and am going to risk putting it outside - only 10% change of rain allegedly......

Meals were all changed up yesterday. We decided to have the lo pork Szechuan for dinner last night to save us cooking. DH usually has a toasted sandwich for lunch, so because I was in back-to-back meetings all morning, I grabbed a pouch of Mexican rice and grated some cheese on top. Not the most fulfilling of meals but needs must.

    Today's meals will (hopefully) be:
    B - Fruit wheats, blueberries, mullerlight - HEB, S, 0.5
L - Omelette with cheese and spinach - HEA, S
    D - veggie sausage traybake - 0.5
    HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar plus 1 so 4 total

    Have a good day all

Morning all.  Thanks for the recipe @bubbs, will probably make the loaf for one of our Christmas buffets we're hosting.  Thanks for the heads up re: gammon prices too, definitely going to try and pick a joint up this weekend.

Managed to go for a 5k walk yesterday and even though it chucked it down halfway round, I felt so much better for getting out of the house.  Had scrambled egg on toast for breakfast this morning, lunch is yet more vegetable soup (it should be finished by the end of the week!) and dinner is a gousto chicken tomato pasta thing.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Hi gang, thanks for the recipe @bubbs have some pork mince in the freezer so will definitely be having it at some point next week.

Spoke to my brother last night about future needs for our parents and he just doesn't get it - well, he does but is just burying his head in the sand and doesn't want to deal with anything. So got up this morning and in a foul mood had toast with jam - not SW-friendly bread and too much jam 😂   I'll stop huffing and behave again.

    Today's plan:
B - naughty (but delicious) toast and jam
L - veggie omelette with pickles
D - chilli salmon, baby potatoes, green beans, carrots and sweetcorn

Hope you're all having a good day!

Another busy morning for me today!  Went to the earlier 9am group this morning and just weighed and left as needed to get back home to pick up DH and then off to the local town for a visit to the nurse for annual COPD check.  All looking good so next appointment isn't until March/April 2024 (18 months - because they're trying to get annual checks to birthday months for everyone).  Also had shingles jab - told us that it would probably leave us with a painful arm and with possible fever and various aches and pains over the next couple of week.  Arm felt a bit heavy just after having the jab but seems OK now so will just have to wait and see if either of us get any symptoms.

Was pleased with lb loss this week so maybe writing out a full food diary worked but can't see why when I already do it online!  Let's see what happens this week.  Only got 2 more WIs before we go on holiday.

Have got another load of washing on the line and looks like it's nearly dry so will go and check it shortly.  We've got lovely blue skies at the moment and supposed to stay like this for a couple of days but we'll see.  There's a chance of a shower later but looking at the forecast it looked like it might just bypass us (hopefully!).  Think we've had enough rain lately.

    Today's plan:

    B - mushroom omelette - P; S
    L - leek and potato soup - S; F
D - beef and barley stew, mash followed by baked stuffed apple, FF natural yoghurt - P; S; F; HEB

    HEA - milk
    HEB - baked apple
Syns - none planned but possibly a glass or two of white wine as have some in the fridge

Hope everyone is having a good day.

1.5lbs loss for me and 4.5lbs loss for middle son,  I'm happy with that.

Only 3lbs to go until I get 10% weightloss.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
