Morning all. Thanks for the well wishes, really wasn't expecting a loss but hey ho I'll take it! I need to try and get back to working out again but so many other things I need to try and fit into the day!
Hope you get the internet sorted soon @Vegestare and that bread and butter pudding looked amazing @Abbafan1972
I think you need to share the recipe!
Had porridge with a banana this morning, lunch is yet more leftover soup and dinner is mushroom risotto.
Hope everyone has a good day!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
@joedenise
Sorry, I don’t get chance to keep up with this thread, there’s always so many replies to catch up on!I made the bread pudding from a Slimming World recipe:-
250g of white bread or whole meal. (I used white bread as that’s what I had got in the house).
6 medium eggs
500g of fat free natural fromage frais (I couldn’t find this, so I used fat free Greek yoghurt instead, it was still free).2-3 tbsp of granulated sweetener
1 tsp mixed spice
50g of sultanas
1 level tsp icing sugar to dust- Preheat your oven to 180°C/fan 160°C /gas 4. Cut the bread into bite-size chunks and place in a shallow ovenproof gratin dish. Sprinkle over the sultanas.
- Beat the eggs together and mix in the fromage frais. Add the mixed spice and sweetener to taste.
- Spoon the fromage frais custard over the bread and turn the bread over to make sure it’s completely covered.
- Stand the dish in a roasting tin and pour in enough boiling water to come halfway up the side of the gratin dish. Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes, until set and a knife inserted in the centre comes out clean.
- Remove the dish from the tin and stand for 10 minutes, before serving dusted with icing sugar.

Morning all,
Rather stiff and achey after pilates last night so no jumping out of bed for me this morning
@bubbs, meant to ask could you post your pork and egg loaf please or tell me where to find it? It looked delicious and the very fact it's wrapped in bacon will have DS interested.
Spoke too soon about finishing Christmas shopping - brother and DS1 have text within hours of each other asking for ideas of what to buy certain relatives.
Today's food:
B - bran flakes (HEB), f/f Greek yoghurt, mango
L - tomato and red pepper soup (have added some orzo to bulk it out)
D - Hunter's chicken, chips, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and sweetcorn
Have a good day everyone!

I've no idea if they do tasters at my group, we don't stay which also means that when I or middle son have had SOTW, the basket of food is probably raffled or given to the next one down.
I've never stayed at any of the slimming groups I have gone to, I just need the discipline of someone else weighing me to keep me on the straight and narrow and I just don't have the time on group day to stay as it is a split shift day and mum has to slot in there somewhere too. There are other groups but they are all in my working hours as I don't work a regular 9 - 5 job.
I'm not holding the highest of hopes for this week, I haven't been particularly naughty but it's all been a bit bitty as my health has not been too great and youngest moved out on Friday and we had to try to get food on the move. Not the easiest to do that and quite frustrating that a low calorie option (a ham sandwich, no dressing or mayo) was still outside of most people's daily syn allowance. I had taken food with me but unfortunately, he hadn't unpacked the kettle or plates and both were needed.
Mind you, with my body, you just never know and I find being a little pessimistic before weigh in works better for me than being optimistic.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

🤞🏼 you won't have gained @SingleSue. It is difficult to get something SW friendly on the move. Most shop bought sandwiches aren't even wholemeal, either white or granary and that's before you start on filling as they often add mayo to keep them moist.
We went to see the film Living yesterday. Fortunately, not at a time when we needed to eat out so stuck to my planned menu. 👍🏼
Thanks for the recipe @Abbafan1972. Do try to post regularly, just to keep us up to speed with how you're doing.
Our email is playing up today. We have internet but I know emails aren't getting through. We've had no junk at all today! 🤣 Hope your issues are sorted @Vegastare.
I've not even thought about Christmas shopping @Jellybaby, although we give very few actual gifts these days. I did buy some embroidered Christmas guest towels when I was in Turkey in June as tokens for some friends (and one for me😁). I saw them in TK Maxx last week for 6 times the price! 😊 Speaking of turkey, has anyone seen any around? I know not everyone likes them, but I do. I'm happy with frozen as by the time I've added stuffing and all the trimmings I think they taste fine.
Didn't have chocolate last night as meal was usual time. I have to eat earlier tonight as going dancing so might be peckish later. Possible 1.2 syns! 😉
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, banana (F), berries (S), HEA milk
L- cold meat (P), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- LO chicken, SW chips or cubes (F), Speed veg tbc🤔
Syns- 00 -
Have yet to see any turkey's @maman but I was planning on getting one at the weekend. We usually get a small frozen crown for the two of us and it gives us lots of leftovers still for sandwiches etc. Will let you know if I see them.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171

I bought the medium size turkey crown from Lidl last weekend. It looks tiny but will be big enough to feed four of us (along with other meats) on the day and give me plenty to go with all the other leftovers fried up along with pickles and chutneys for a few days after - that's my favourite part of Christmas!0

Afternoon all, this morning has just disappeared! Had dentist and then needed to go shopping in both the local town and the next town as wanted both The Food Warehouse and Lidl which are there. I managed to get the cooking apples @bubbs for 99p - not bad for 5 apples - Tesco's were £1 for 4 and they weren't any bigger.
Thanks for the recipe @Abbafan1972; sounds nice I'm sure I'll be doing that sometime when I've got some spare bread - although that doesn't happen very often with DH eating it as well! I've added the recipe to my SW recipes which are stored on my laptop.
Managed to get a machine load of washing almost dry before the rain started and now on the airer finishing off. That should all be dry by the morning, maybe even this evening as none of it is particularly damp - not even the towels.
Not turkey fans here so usually just have a gammon joint and possibly a small beef joint. Depends of our DDs and families are coming to us for Christmas - no decisions made yet but we are staying at home as will be looking after my friend's dogs as she's going to one of her DDs in London and it's a long way to drag dogs, particularly as there are 4 kids who would probably pull them around and they don't like that. If our DDs come to us then it will probably be pulled pork again - one plain and one in a BBQ sauce as it's the one meat that everyone eats so makes life much easier than messing around with different meats for different pallets!
I'm with you @Jellybaby with LOs with pickles when we have a joint, not just at Christmas!
Hope your tech issues are sorted soon @Vegastare - that's really frustrating to keep being given different times it's going to be sorted.
Today's plan:
B - kedgeree - P; S; F
L - toasted cheese sandwich - HEA2; HEB
D - chicken chasseur, mash, cabbage, peas - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but do have some dark chocolate and some magic stars in the fridge if I fancy something sweet or water biscuits if I fancy something savoury.

Thanks all for looking out for turkey. There will only be 3 of us having it as DGD1 has turned veggie but DD1 likes a leg so a crown wouldn't suit. Only need a small one but I'd eat LOs and pickles forever so not really worried. 🤣
Tomorrow WILL be washing day @joedenise! 😁0
