Morning all. Back from Lisbon and had a wonderful time - although did have food poisoning for the first 24 hours thanks to a rogue breakfast out that DH treated me to the day before we went...🤢 But still had a good time after all that. Spent yesterday just chilling out as feeling a bit meh, and woke up this morning with a bit of a cold and a sore throat 🙄 Oh well!
Had some porridge with banana for breakfast, lunch is going to be some vegetable soup that I need to chuck in the soup maker, and then dinner is tomato and prawn pasta with spinach. Hundreds of emails to work my way through, better get cracking, hope you all have a good day!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Looking at your signature @ruby_eskimo, you celebrated your anniversary in Lisbon. How lovely, it's a beautiful city. Glad you had a good time. Shame about the rogue breakfast but it didn't stop you enjoying yourself. 😊 Well done for getting straight back to healthy eating. 👍
🤞that the scales are kind to you @joedenise.
I'm undecided about dinner today. I plan to make corned beef hash but if feeling lazy will fall back on a freezer meal.
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, baked beans (F), fried egg and bacon (P), HEA1 milk for drinks
L- mackerel in sauce (P), leaves and pickles (S)
D- corned beef hash and vegetables (P, S, F, HEA2 )
Syns-need to check corned beef? horseradish 10 -

A 3lb loss for me this week, my 1 and a half stone certificate (total of 23lbs lost now) and only 4.5lbs to my 10%.
Middle son stayed the same which was good for him as he was away at the weekend and didn't hold back food or alcohol wise. He was pleased with that.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Glad you had a great anniversary @ruby_eskimo and enjoyed Lisbon even though you had food poisoning.
Well done @SingleSue. Brilliant loss and 1.5 stone certificate today.
The scales weren't kind to me this morning and had 0.5lb gain! No idea why as I was within syns every day. My consultant has given me a food diary to complete this week - personally don't think it's much use really as I know what I'm doing but let's see if next week is better!
Bought a magazine this morning and wished I hadn't bothered - there's nothing of interest in it for me. There's only one recipe I might use! Should have guessed really as it's the Christmas edition so all turkey recipes! We don't even eat turkey!

Well done on your loss and 1.5 stone @SingleSue. That's amazing progress. Delighted for you! 👏👏👏 Have you asked about another referral, as you seem well on course for your 10%?🤔
I agree, the food diary is unlikely to come up with anything @joedenise. You'll probably lose next week anyway. It'll be interesting to see if consultant has any theories though.
Slight change of plan for lunch as switched fish for ham because it needed finishing off. I did prep hash for dinner though so need to check syns.
ETA - syns online says 3.8 so I'll go with 4 as I'll hopefully have a portion tomorrow. It was very lean and I shave off visible fat.0 -
Afternoon all
Welcome back Ruby, glad you had a nice holiday after the initial start of being ill.
Well done SingleSue 👏👏
Denise, there is no rhyme or reason i know this!
Well i rang the dentist and got in for 12, they gave me the form where you have to payi said hav i got to pay again? She i don't know he will tell you. Well what had happened was he had knocked a filling out!
Well he put one back in and i still had the sheet of paper on my lap, i said do you need this? He said yes give it to me, i thought uh oh i have to pay again even though it was his fault
He proceeded to screw it up and put it in the bin 😂 that's where that is going he said 👏👏
So i had not had breakfast so i had left over casserole and called it stew 🤣🤣 about 11 before i went.
Had a couple of boiled eggs from the fridge and 2 pears when i came back
I am having bouble burger, chips and salad for tea 😋😋Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
Glad you had a lovely time in Lisbon @ruby_eskimo - I went a few years ago with my girlfriends and would definitely go back. Happy anniversary x
Great loss @SingleSue and well done to your DS for STS x
Annoying about the little gain @joedenise - there's no reason for that at all. Hopefully a big loss next week fingers crossed x
Glad the dentist treated you without payment @bubbs - should think so too!
Lunch was different to my plan. I popped to the town for some hair dye (roots need doing) and was late so I popped into Greggs and got the cajun chicken and sweetcorn fritter pot. I heated it up at home and can confirm it's a lot nicer warm - 5 syns. With the cauli cheese for dinner I'll end up on 8 total for today.Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -
