Washing just hung limply on the line today. I'd forgotten it would soon start getting dark so brought it in to finish off indoors. Maybe we should start a new SW/Washing thread! 🤣
A bit of a NSV today for me. I'm going to a dance on Saturday and tried on an unforgiving jumpsuit I might want to wear and it looks fine. 😁
Beans and bacon feature heavily today but CBA to change menu after DH's choice of breakfast.
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, fried egg (P), baked beans (F)
L- ham (P), 2 potatoes (F), fried vegetables and pickles (S)
D- sausage casserole (P, F, S), pasta (F)
Syns - Aldi skinny sausages 10 -
Good on you with the dress making....MIL used to do a lot and knitting...she said the expensive part is buying the pattern....wouldn.t have a glue @joedenise.
@maman I got myself in gear and had the washing out at 8.30 this morning...just brought it in, did have a bit of a blow this morning but none this afternoon -put towels in garage on a maiden and rest in house. Doesn't really do much drying in garage but stops the damp smell of towels in house.
My dog is driving me crazy....his built in clock is in summertime and he keeps bullying me for his food. Doing my best to ignore him at least till 5.30pm bless him always the same when clocks alter poor boy.
B porridge made with water and FF yog sliced apple and blues
L sliced ham and watermelon toms and beetroot.
D End of ham egg baby pots and cauliflower chopped onion.
HEA Milk LCow Lite cheese
HEB Porridge
Syns skinny orange bar 3
Just to add I do not have any mint Hifi left.....both gone off with DH on his travels.....Iceland tomorrow me thinks.0 -
@Vegastare - patterns are a horrendous price now! The last pattern I bought was last year and that was £11 which is considered a "cheap" one! Most of the ones I use come "free" with sewing magazines so paying around a fiver but at least there's more than one pattern. There's a lot of patterns on line which are free but there's a lot of work involved in printing them out and joining them together - just like the dress I'm making at the moment!
When we had dogs (many years ago now) we used to feed them about 3/4 hour earlier for a few days, then half hour earlier for a few days and 1/4 hour early so they caught up with the hour over a couple of weeks. Obviously the opposite when the clocks went forward in the spring.
It must be hard for them because we can't explain it to them!
DH poured me glass of wine so 8 syns (it was a large white but fortunately only 11%!) but still well within syns.
At least the fish pie was syn free as I used the SW recipe from the website. It was OK but won't bother again; too much faffing about for my liking! I'll just syn some of the packet mix in future like I usually do.

Morning!
Didn't manage to post Sunday or yesterday. Mum okay, I took her home Sunday lunchtime as she was packed and ready from 9am and if not for DH putting on a National Geographic programme about ancient Egypt she would have gone earlier lol. I spoke to her yesterday from the train home and she seems a bit jaded still but assured me she'd eaten and reeled off what she'd had. DSis and I are going to get POA - DMum agreed to it whilst at the hospital as couldn't remember her meds details, so lucky we were there really.
In the office yesterday which was crazy as usual as boss had IT issues galore - our laptops are on their last legs and we have new ones to use from mid-November, just not yet.... Went home via Brixton AND Bromley TKM@xx's to get some handles for the wardrobes we've painted, so arrived home at 7.30pm. We had LO beef tagliatelle so no cooking.
Today's food:
B - melon, blueberries, grapes, poached egg, grilled bacon - S, P
L - HM bns and pepper soup, WM roll, 2 satsumas - S, HEB
D - chicken and pesto pasta - 1.5 syns for single cream
HEA - milk
HEA - mini babybel
Syns - hi fi bar plus 1.5 so 4.5 total
Sorry to miss any news. Think it's @bubbs birthday this week, so happy birthday lovely! Hope you have a great day xx

Morning all, weather not too nice - it was very wet and windy overnight. It's stopped raining but still very windy - don't think DH will be too happy as he's playing golf this morning!
I'm going to try and get my dress sorted this morning - well at least the neckline/facing which is causing me problems. Think I may need to unpick the facing and restitch it will smaller seams than usual.
Glad your mum has gone back home and good that she's eating. Love the fact she reeled off what she'd had, LOL!
Today's plan:
B - baked oats, fruit, yoghurt - HEB; P; S; F
L - LO fish pie, peas - P; S; F
D - not sure - have got both lamb and beef out of the freezer so depends which defrosts first! Suspect it will be the beef as that is cubed rather than in a piece. If it is the beef then it will be stroganoff; if the lamb then it will be a tagine!
HEA - milk
HEB - oats
Syns - none planned but probably a cereal bar 5
Have a good day everyone.
