Great NSV! It's brilliant when people notice you're changing shape. Well done.
Enjoy your omelette maker; lots of people in my group use them but I just use a pan but then I'm retired so can make them at home.

A wee half pound off for me today. I bought the countdown but may have to wait for the soup book with all the postal strikes.
Was a good class this morning - we went a bit off topic! - but left feeling quite motivated. Did the usual tour of supermarkets with the parents and managed to pick up a couple of Xmas presents so win, win 😀
Dinner tonight is meatballs and spaghetti and I’ve got a gammon joint in the slow cooker for tomorrow.

Change of plan for dinner this evening. Have got some bacon which needs using up and DH didn't fancy rice again tonight so going to do a bacon, tomato pasta one pot dish. It's a recipe on aa leaflet I picked up in M&S when I popped in to see if they had any food bargains - they didn't! The only thing they had reduced was 2 small salmon fillets in a sweet chilli sauce for £4.03 reduced from £6.xx, definitely not worth the money. Still at least I've got a recipe which is usable for SW friendly food!
Well done @Jellybaby on the loss - all those half pounds add up - I should know that's how I got to target all those years ago and still only lose that amount a week after a holiday. Would love to lose more but it doesn't happen very often.

Yes, well done @Jellybaby! A loss is what mattters! 👏👏👏
Enjoy the meatballs. 😋
Congratulations on your NSV @SingleSue. I don't know about you but (other than DH), I didn't tell anyone when I started SW and it was a great feeling when someone noticed. 👍
Is that the Tom Kerridge recipe @joedenise? I enjoyed the pasta and bacon recipe I had during the week for lunch. Let us know how you get on. 😊
I often pass on reduced items, particularly in Waitrose or Sainsburys as they're often still silly prices even with YS. That makes my £2.40 Ocado salmon fillets really good value.
I've just put Bolognese in the SC as I was down to just one portion in the freezer.
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, scrambled eggs (P)
L- JP (F), ham, cottage cheese (P), beetroot, spring onions, tomatoes (S)
D- KFC (P), SW chips, peas (F), carrot chips, broccoli, mushrooms, tomatoes (S)
Syns - weekend wine 😊
I know I should really syn the KFC but planning to have syns to spare this week so can afford it0 -
Congrats Single Sue - great to hear. @maman talking silly prices. Went in a Waitrose and nice to pop in as none around us....also they have good fish counter and do have offers. But noticed so many yellow stickers and on steak my eyes popped out of my head at the £2 reduction that still left the sirloin steaks at £8 each....yep lovely steaks but so many better alternatives if needed £16 for 2.....they also had beef sort ribs reduced and still worked out more than my local butcher, plus his are always lovely and lean.
B 1 wbix sliced apple and blues rasp and pomgran FFyog
L scrambled eggs with mushrooms and toms and BGTY sausage bacon meds toast butter
D SW curry sauce chicken prawn and mushroom onion curry boiled rice. SW Chips

@maman - yes it's the Tom Kerridge recipe for bacon, tomato and broccoli pasta one pot recipe. I didn't have any broccoli so just used some frozen green veg. It was quite tasty and made loads! I only made half the recipe in case we didn't like! There's enough LOs for a good sized lunch so once it's cooled down I'll box it up and put it in the fridge for lunch in a couple of days time. It think it could be made even more SW friendly with the addition of some onions. I thought when I looked at the ingredients list that it ought to have some in and I think it would work well.
We had some grated parmasan on top of it so that was part 2nd HEA as it was probably only about 5g!
I will make it again but will just use some bacon lardons which I've got in the freezer - it seems a bit of a waste using cut up rashers!0 -
Thanks for that @joedenise. I know you smoke your own bacon but I've made heaps of lardons by chopping up those packs of bacon pieces. I buy them when I notice they have pieces of thick smoked gammon. Spring onions work well too. I like the idea of it being one pot rather than cooking the pasta separately. 👍
You're right @Vegastare. We have a local Waitrose but I only go there for a few things. We like their own brand baked beans and some herbs and spices that they don't sell elsewhere. 'More money than sense' comes to mind for people who do a full shop there. 🤣0 -

Saying that, I could cook most things even really intricate and complicated food when I had my mobility but omelettes always failed me, I was hopeless at them.
Another comment today on my weight loss, I could get used to this, talk about an ego boost! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Good to hear that NSVs are coming thick and fast @SingleSue. 😁
Glad you're pleased with your omelette maker. It's an ideal, relatively cheap way of getting protein and filled with veg like mushrooms, spring onions, tomatoes makes it even more SW friendly. I usually have pickles (mostly beetroot) on the side, an easy way to up the Speed. Not sure if they're veg you can eat? 🤔0 -
