No spreadsheet @maman! Β Probably a good idea but I'm not actually that organised!
I just have a table and add meals to it for the month! Β Going to try and do some new meals in November so I got out my cookery books and have picked out a few new recipes to try. Β Only got just over 3 weeks to do so have made a start on the plan over the last couple of days so the chart's nearly done!1 -
Morning all, has just started raining here and due to continue for most of today I think.
Well done on your loss @joedenise! I too was wondering where you're off to next....Β
@SingleSue you're doing so well, definitely call about continuing the referral.
Super bargains there @bubbs - we had a pork shoulder joint (SC pulled pork) last night and it was over Β£7 from Ts - I picked the smallest one. Will do a few more lunches/dinners but even so....
Great that you are continuing with ST @beanielou and well done to your foodbank for getting recognition. Shame we even have to have them in this day and age.Β
Hope you get the car sorted @Jellybaby
We enjoyed the pulled pork last night. I made coleslaw with brussels, carrots, onion, ff nat yog, lemon juice and a little wholegrain mustard. Also did some SW potato wedges and sprinkled over cajun seasoning. As I had the oven on I made tonight's dinner of Quorn moussaka. It's in the fridge and ready to reheat later. Will buy some salad at lunchtime. I'm wondering if I can freeze the remainder of it? It's topped with ff nat yoghurt and eggs? I know with the chicken curry it said to freeze without adding the yoghurt to the sauce. If not, then that will be lunch for the next few days!
Food today:
B - 2 WM toast, 2 tsp jam, grapes - HEB, 1
L - Cheese and ham omelette, melon - P, HEA, S
D - Quorn moussaka, salad - free, S
HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar 3 plus 1 so 4 total
Have a good day all

Morning all, it's been raining in the early hours but is just grey and miserable now. Β Wouldn't be surprised if we get more rain later though.
Wow! is all I can say @bubbs - you always manage to hit the YS stuff! Β I never really find anything as I tend to shop in the morning and it's very rare there is anything reduced.
For those who are interested the next holiday is Lanzarote All Inclusive! Β We're meeting up with my sister at the resort. Β We won't get to see her often now as she has moved to Scotland to be nearer her daughter and grandchildren. Β Didn't used to see a lot of her just 2 or 3 times a year so it will be nice to see her next month. Β We'll probably go up to see her sometime next year in Glasgow but nothing arranged as yet.Β
We're not off to Gambia @maman until April next year - it's our delayed holiday for our Golden Wedding Anniversary which happened during Covid lockdown.
Today's plan:
B - porridge, frozen strawberries, blueberries, cherries - HEB; S; F
L - sweet chilli noodles - S; F; 2
D - Barnsley chop, potatoes, veg - P; S; F; 4Β
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - sweet chilli sauce 2; lamb 4 (I'm going to be eating some of the fat!)
Have a good day everyone.1 -
Late check in as work has been it's usual bonkers busy today.Β Went into the office for a meeting that had to be done face to face this morning and also managed a catch up with my friend, so got to put the world to rights over a bacon roll and coffee π
Love seeing your bargains @bubbs.Β Β Hope your car is OK @Vegastare.Β There's four or five friends I buy something small for at Christmas and this year we've decided (thankfully we all agreed so was easy to broach!) instead of presents we're going to donate to somewhere of our choice.Β My local foodbank is asking for toy donations so will do that.
Today's food:
B - w/meal roll (HEXB), bacon (removed all the fat!)
L - lentil soup, f/f Greek yoghurt and apple
D - pork medallions, roasties, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and peas
Have a good day all.
