Sounds a good idea to call target for now @beanielou. At least that way you can still carry on trying without having to pay. That's the good thing with SW you don't have to be a certain weight to call target.
@Vegastare - certainly sounds as though your DH eats plenty but what about you? My DH invariably ends up eating a sandwich during the evening no matter how big dinner is and he still manages to lose weight!

Hi all, I'm back! I've really struggled with SW following my holiday, covid and not fully enjoying my job. My weight loss slowed massively, I'd still been going to group but it's taken me over 2 months to lose 7lbs.
I was amazed tonight to lose 2.5lbs and get my 4.5st award and it's given me the boost I need to keep going.
Hope you are all keeping well, I'll try to post more often and keep myself accountable.Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

Welcome back @Vegastare. Line drawn and back on plan is the best way. 😁
Well done on seeing off that pound @ruby_eskimo. It all helps. 👏👏👏
We've just had the heating on for the odd hour here and there. We've been lucky that the weather is mild. We turned it on for a bit yesterday evening as everywhere felt damp and miserable during the thunder and lightning but soon warmed up, ate our lovely roast and then turned it off.
I'm out for dinner tonight but then we look to have a couple of weeks where I can stay completely on plan. 🤞
Today's EE plan -
B - HEB porridge, HEA milk, plums (S), banana (F)
L - fried eggs, ham (P), beetroot, cornichons (S)
D -?
Syns - tbc

Just realised I'd written this post earlier today but forgotten to 'send' it.
As an update, much better idea to take the dental appointment while you can get it @bubbs.
I think it makes sense to call target for now @beanielou. Do keep in touch and keep posting. You know SW inside out so if you can STS (or even lose 😁) until the New Year then you'll save yourself a few pounds.
I made sensible choices and enjoyed my meal. As well as glass of wine, syns were in mayo, gravy and any oils used. I had prawn cocktail followed by liver and bacon with mash and greens. 😋0 -
Cross posted @annabanana82. Well done on your loss and getting to 4.5 stones. That's an excellent achievement! 👏👏👏1

Morning!
Yes @ruby_eskimo - half fat fromage frais - you win the prize lol! It was actually quite nice with the addition of some sweetener and a drop of vanilla extract. The wedding in London sounds lovely and very thoughtful favours.
Welcome back @Vegastare - glad you enjoyed your break and good to see you back on plan.
Great weightloss @annabanana82 - it's taken me since February to lose a total weight of 1st 1lb, so please don't think you're weightloss is slow!!
Ah @beanielou - you know the plan so well, so do ease the pressure on yourself and your purse if you need to. It almost killed me to pay for a 12 week CD - I literally have about a fiver to last until payday on 27th, but I'm hoping to get to target or very close in that time.
@bubbs, sorry to hear about your tooth. Glad the dentist can fit you in next week. Made all the worse by being a front tooth as well
The day flew past yesterday - I'm always crazy busy when in the actual office as boss has me running about! Good news that my step count is remaining around the 10k/day average. Slightly less on Sunday as we were in the car for a few hours back and forth to Brighton. We had the beef tagliatelle from the website last night. It contained loads of speed veg and it made enough for 5 portions, so 3 in the freezer for lunches. I used fresh tagliatelle - first time having fresh pasta in years!
Today's food:
B - scrambled egg, spinach, mushrooms, 1 x WM toast - P, S, 1/2 HEB
L - JP, cottage cheese with pineapple, lettuce leaves, pickles - 2, S
D - chicken curry (from the SW website), rice - free
HEA - milk
HEA - mini babybel
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
Syns - 2
Does anyone know that they are having a vote on SW to bring back a past flavour of hifi. Think the choices are rocky road, lemon drizzle, choc macaroon or banana milkshake. Just in case anyone wants to vote.
Have a good day all

Morning all, a lovely bright day today and no wind for a change! It's actually forecast to stay dry but think this is only day and of course I've got no washing!
Well done @annabanana82 on your loss and your award, that's brilliant. You certainly aren't losing slowly as @Coxy11 said. When I was getting to target it was mainly 0.5lb a week with the odd lb here and there and quite a few STS.
Glad your dentist and fit you in next week to sort out your tooth @bubbs! It would be a long wait if you hadn't taken that appointment.
I saw that vote on the website @Coxy11 and have voted for the rocky road! It's the only one I really like out of the options available!
Need to go shopping this morning as have run out of fruit, yoghurt and onions - I really need all of these so can't leave it. Also need to pick up some Diet Coke or Pepsi for DH as he's run out.
Today's plan:
B - weetabix, milk, frozen strawberries, blueberries and cherries - HEA, HEB, S, F
L - spicy carrot & lentil soup from freezer - P; S; F
D - beef and barley stew from freezer, mash, cabbage - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - weetabix
Syns - jelly 0.5; not sure what else
Have a good day everyone.1 -
Morning all, I'm considering the 12 week countdown too as I get paid this week. I'm hoping like you @Coxy11 it will be the shove I need to get to target. If not, I'll have to think about whether I go back to class or not. Give us your wisdom here @beanielou as you know the plan inside out and the virtual kick up the pants when needed 🤣
Welcome back @Vegastare and @annabanana82 and have a lovely time away @ruby_eskimo
I'm back at the dentist too @bubbs wisdom tooth isn't settling so will probably need to come out. First appointment 8 November!
Today's food:
B - f/f Greek yoghurt, raspberries
L - lentil soup (quite possibly the best batch I've ever made 😍)
D - homemade burgers, roll (HEXB), chips, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, gherkins
Have a good day everyone0 -
@Jellybaby - definitely worth going for the 12 week countdown - particularly at the moment as you'll get the Souper Heroes book with it as long as you do it this week - offer finishes end of this week. You can decide at that point whether to call target, as @beanielou has done, and continue going to group as a target member free of charge or can decide not to return but quite honestly I think that would be a mistake as you are likely to put the weight back on if you don't have the accountability of group, although you can of course continue to post on here if that is what will help keep you on track.
The main reason I continue to go to group is so that I still have access to the website and the app as I know that I can more or less keep within target range even when I don't go to group. I didn't do the Zoom meetings during lockdown but at the end of lockdown when groups opened up again I was still in target! It also means I get out of the house for a couple of hours on my own!

Like you @joedenise, I've found it best to go to group occasionally since I got to target. It's mainly for the website access but also helps to keep me on track. I know that when I go every 8 weeks, if I've gained too much, I keep going until I'm back in range. I've worked hard over the years to be at my preferred weight and would hate to start piling it all back on. I'd certainly recommend it for anyone when they get to target. It's free unless you go out of range for longer than a week.
I know we can probably all tell a story about someone who's lost loads and put it all back on. IMO, that will only happen if you treat SW like a diet and return to old eating habits. If you keep to the SW healthy eating formula of balanced meals and prioritising treat foods (and drinks😉) then you'll stay roundabout your preferred target weight.
I can honestly say I've never bought a HiFi bar although I do remember rocky road being popular in group. I really don't crave anything sweet but have had an occasional Alpen or benefit bar that I've bought for DH.
Back 100% on plan today. DH was keen to go out for the day but, as I'm out this evening, I put him off. I know I could make up some sort of packed lunch but could end up in a cafe when it happens possibly later in the week. 🤔
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, fried eggs (P), tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
L- ham (P), 2 small potatoes (F), fried veg and pickles (S)
d- cold chicken (P), SW chips (F), green stuff, tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
Syns- 00
