I know it's not my original target but i have been in this target a year and never come out of it 😂 today brings me bang on target as 1lb below, but yes it is frustrating especially when someone that sits with us ate 4 flakes yesterday and lost 2lbs 😂 i said 4? she said well they were 70p each or a pack of 4 £1 so was better value 🤣🤣🤣

Well done from me too @Coxy11! 👏👏👏 You really swept the boards with so many awards and prizes! Brilliant! 😁

The best is probably seeing a new number on the scales. Such a boost! 👍

Fab! @Coxy11 what a great incentive to keep you on track til NY .

@Bubbs I’m twining you this week, pound on for me. Will keep plodding on.

Going to have a bit of a cooking session tomorrow to fill the freezer. Planning chilli, bolognaise, savoury mince, stew and Boston baked beans. Will prep veg to make lentil soup on Monday.  Think I’ll go for the countdown next week which ideally will take me to target (not holding my breath on this) and I’ll get the new soup book with it.

Morning all, it's very grey at the moment and still very damp, although not raining although pretty sure it's forecast for later.

Well done @Coxy11, great loss and winning the awards and the raffle - even if you did say draw it again!  We had the same happen in group this week as the woman who won it has won it 3 weeks running!  It's weird how these things happen.  It should have been one of the guys won it as being gentlemanly he said "after you" as they were next to each other when the lady selling the tickets approached them!

Let me know what you think of the jerk chicken @Coxy11 if you do try the recipe, but it's certainly the one I'll be doing in future for both the taste and the ease of making it.

Enjoy your day's cooking session @Jellybaby.  I generally just do a big batch of savoury mince and then portion it for the freezer and decide when I get it out whether it's going to be bolognaise, chilli etc!  Easier than trying to make everything at the same time IYSWIM.  Have you done the baked beans before?  I made them once but quite honestly didn't think they were worth the effort but with the way prices are going I may give them another go but not anytime soon!  We've got a holiday coming up next week, then it will be the C word and NY!  So maybe something to do next year.

    Plan for today:

    B - Fry up - P; S; F; 1
    L - burger & onions in WM roll - HEB; S; 0.5
    D - Beef stew, mashed celeriac - P; S

    HEA - milk
    HEB - WM roll
    Syns - LF sausage 1; LF burger 0.5; may have a G&T or 2

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

Woke up to torrential rain, thunder and lightning but just raining right now. We are off to Brighton today to see DD so I'm not looking forward to the drive! Had a lovely bath and face mask last night and was tucked up in bed with my book at 10pm. Honestly feel like hibernating at this time of year!

Definitely go for the CD if you can afford it @Jellybaby - the book looks good, plus the CD is a commitment to yourself to keep on track (imho). Sorry about the little gain but sure you'll get that off next week.

    Food today will be:

B - WM roll, grilled bacon, tbsp brown sauce - HEB, P, 1
L - out with DD and DH - will choose wisely!
D - all depends on lunch tbh - might just have some fruit
    HEA - milk
    HEA - mini babybel light
Syns - probably more than I should....

    Have a good day all

Have a lovely day with DD @Coxy11.

@joedenise I’ve only made the beans once before. It’s a Slimming eats recipe and everything goes in the oven for hours but I used the slow cooker.  DS wasn’t keen but I enjoyed them. I made the whole recipe so loads left which I froze. No idea if you can/should freeze but it worked well and I’m still here🤣

That's the recipe I used @Jellybaby and I did it in the SC as well.  Beans freeze really well - just need to make sure you get them out early enough to defrost before using them.  I use quite a lot of dried beans and always freeze in portions, although I usually use the pressure cooker rather than the SC.

@Coxy11 - enjoy your day with DD.  We're off to see DD1 shortly before she goes off on holiday next weekend for her 50th birthday!  Where has that time gone?

We are home from Brighton. Torrential rain and surface water on the way there but dry, bright and sunny in Brighton itself yay!

I had cauliflower wings with salsa to start - basically breaded and fried cauliflower florets. Nice but a bit big a portion. Then half a roast chicken, chips and salad. Ate most of the chicken, salad and some chips. Had a Pepsi max.

No dinner tonight as we’re still stuffed. Step count has been c.10k the last few days but only 7.3k today. Won’t be going out again as it’s raining again here.

In London tomorrow so need to do overnight oats to take in.

    Have a good evening all.
