Well done @SingleSue. 👍 You're right that it may catch up with you next week but it could be that, despite the celebrations, you haven't ate all that much in total. Glad you made it to your son's birthday meal. What's excellent is that both of you are still determined to keep going. 👏

Do post, whatever your mood @Jellybaby. It's a really good sign that you're keeping control of your eating despite all the other stresses. Keep in touch. 🤗

Maybe it's partly a bit of a cold as well as the vaccine @joedenise. Hope it goes as quickly as it came.

Like you, I mainly use my SC for chilli and Bolognese @Coxy11. It's excellent for that as I can do a batch for the freezer with minimal effort.

It'll be strange going into the office tomorrow @ruby_eskimo. Hope you find something suitable for lunch.

DD1 has been round today as she was having some messy building work on her home (sitting room floor completely replaced) and wanted to get out of the way. We went to the Company Shop @bubbs but slim pickings. I did get various cheeses for DH so have hidden them at the back of the fridge. Also water biscuits and Sainsburys pickled onions and some cleaning stuff for food bank . DD did better as she's not on SW so bought fancy crisps and M&S coleslaw. I had some with her at lunch time to show willing. 😉

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA1 milk for drinks, baked beans (F), bacon, fried egg (P)
    L- cold chicken (P), bubble and squeak (F, S), beetroot (S)
    D- Spaghetti Bolognese (P, S, F), HEA 2 Parmesan
    Syns - tbsp coleslaw?

Back again!  Pleased to say that the scales at the surgery were definitely wrong and I was bang on top end of target!  Couldn't believe it when the consultant asked me how I managed to stay within target range after not going to WI for 7 weeks!  I just said my usual "Good when you can, careful when you can't"!

I've definitely got a cold my nose is absolutely streaming and driving me up the wall!  I've already gone through one pack of tissues plus some kitchen roll!

Well done @SingleSue on your loss, just carry on sticking to plan and you may avoid it catching up next week.

@maman - I would count the coleslaw as 3 or 4 syns - mayo is likely to be 5 syns a Tbs so with having a Tbs the a syn or two less to account for the veg!

Well done @SingleSue.  Can I ask how you keep your shoulders warm when you are in bed?

That's brilliant getting back in range @joedenise. Well done! 👏👏👏

Thanks for the coleslaw syns. I can afford them but wouldn't have 'wasted' syns if I wasn't being sociable.

Fortunately DD's builders turned up mob handed @bubbs and they ripped the floor out yesterday and put the new one down today. It's not quite finished yet but, although they could have stayed with us, they decided to just live in the kitchen and bedrooms for a few days. It's an old house so just rotting joists over time was what caused it. ☹️

I have cats that like to snuggle and drape. I also have lots of pillows that frame round my shoulders.

If I get chilly, I put a cardi on.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Morning all, still not feeling well and my nose is absolutely streaming.  Not had much sleep as constantly having to blow my nose.  Got so fed up with it and not being able to sleep ended up getting up at 4.30!  Will probably need a nap this afternoon!

Not planning on doing much today other than cooking and even that isn't going to be a lot!  DH will do breakfast and I'll do lunch and dinner.

    So today's plan:

    B - toasted cheese sandwich - HEA2; HEB
    L - ham, egg, chips and beans - P; F
D - savoury mince hotpot; veg - P; S; F (not sure what veg will decide later)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - none planned

Not a lot of speed today but it will have to do!  Will probably have some fruit later which will up the speed a bit.

    Have a good day everyone.
