I had the steak I had been craving, blooming lovely it was too even if they did have to cook me another one after serving up an overcooked piece first. I was doing my happy dance at the second attempt....

Obviously I made it out last night, it was a struggle and due to the energy expended, my voice completely went, something that happens now when I get tired.

We will see what happens tomorrow but to be perfectly honest, I will be over the moon at a stay the same, I wouldn't deserve it as things have gone over but I'd be chuffed if it is.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

    Morning all,

Glad you got out for the steak dinner @SingleSue and good luck for your WI later xx
Lovely food as always @bubbs - that's a big cauli!
Sorry about your SC chicken @beanielou - what was the issue - too watery?? I only really do bolognaise or chilli in mine now.

We really enjoyed the beef and mushroom stroganoff last night and I nursed my 125ml of wine too! I'm up early as I'm in the London office today. Went to bed before 10 last night and woke up at 4.30am again! Managed to drop back off until 6 luckily. I have some food to take in and will buy my lunch today.

    Food today:
B - overnight oats, mullerlight vanilla, frozen cherries - HEB, 0.5
    L - M&S orzo with roasted tomatoes, grapes - 2.5
D - mozzarella and chilli pasta bake - HEA
    HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar 3 plus 3 so 6 total

    Have a good day all

Morning all, feeling much better this morning after a nap before lunch and an early night (went to bed at 9pm - unheard of for me!), woke up at 3.30am for the loo and straight back to sleep until just after 7am.  I keep sneezing as well at the moment so don't know if I've got a cold coming, I hope not as not had one for about 5 years, I suspect I picked up something at the weekend when we were away if it is a cold as usually takes 3 days to come out.

That's a great cauliflower for 95p @bubbs - was that normal price or a Clubcard price?  Didn't notice any like that when I was in there yesterday.  Funny you should say you put measuring spoons into the SOTW basket I've got some measuring cups to put in this week.  I find them useful for American recipes where everything is measured in cups - it's actually a bigger set than the ones I use myself.  There are 6 measures, my set only has 4.

    Today's plan:

    B - mushroom omelette - P; S
    L - ham salad sandwich - HEB; P; S; 0.5
    D - toad in the hole, potatoes, veg - S; F; 6.5

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - LTL mayo 0.5; flour 4.5; sausages 2

Back later with results.from WI.  If the scales at the surgery were night then I'm 1.5lb out of top end of target!  Hope they weren't right, although it was later in the day so that could be part of the reason.  If it's that much I think I'll be paying next week!

Morning all.  Good to hear you're feeling better @joedenise, even if the trip to the dr's was frustrating and there may be a cold in your future.

I hate when steak isn't cooked properly @SingleSue but glad you enjoyed it.

Didn't sleep very well last night for some reason - DH kept stealing the duvet too which didn't help 😆  Had more porridge with banana for breakfast, lunch is the last of my sweet potato soup and dinner tonight is spaghetti bolognese.  In the office tomorrow so need to work out what I'm going to take for lunch.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Hi folks, I'm reading along but feeling a bit blah and haven't posted as I didn't want my negativity to spill over!  Let's just say I really need a new job - or early retirement, or a lottery win  :D  It will be my late OH's significant birthday at the end of the month so think that's zooming around my head playing a part too.

The good news is I've stayed fairly well on track which is unheard of when I'm stressed so obviously doing something better.

Food today has been f/f Greek yoghurt with bran flakes (HEXB) and raspberries for breakfast, leek and potato soup for lunch and dinner is chicken curry with rice to use up a pre-made curry pouch I found in the cupboard.  Think it's 5 syns for my share but will check.

Hope you get on OK at WI @joedenise and your cold doesn't come to anything.  Glad you enjoyed your steak @SingleSue.
Fab loss @beanielou and @Coxy11 I need some of your motivation and energy - or just come paint my house :)

Apologies if I've missed anyone, still catching up.  Have a good day all.

Well my gast has well and truly been flabbered. I lost 1lb this week, ok it will probably catch up with me next week but for the moment, I'm celebrating the loss.

Middle son gained a 1lb, which he too was pleased about as he went in saying he would be satisfied with anything under a 2.5lb gain...he really did enjoy more than one slice of birthday cake and not small slices either!
