Afternoon all, home from our weekend away. Had a good time and were lucky with the weather as forecast was for showery but we managed not to be out in it! We were on the bus on our way back to the motorhome when it rained yesterday afternoon and it had stopped by the time we got off. There was a bit more later in the evening when we were in the van but didn't last long.
Well done @bubbs and @Jellybaby on your STS and well done @TakingItEasy on your lb loss and 2lb loss for @Coxy11! Have decided I'm going to WI this week but not holding out much hope for a loss especially after this weekend's synful stuff including a mini pork pie today and butchers sausage for breakfast this morning because DH cooked all the low fat one yesterday so he decided we needed to buy more for today's breakfast but I did only have one!
We ate out yesterday but I was good and had steak and a jacket potato with a flat mushroom, half tomato and peas - was probably the best cooked steak I've had out for a long time! I really wanted gammon but it was only available as part of a mixed grill which I didn't want as too much at lunchtime.
I'm trying a roast gammon joint in the halogen oven for dinner tonight 🤞 it works OK! Will slice the LOs tomorrow as ham, hopefully there will be enough to freeze some. Will cook some potatoes and veg to to have with it.
Will be back on plan properly tomorrow and Tuesday before WI on Wednesday.
Hope everyone's had a good day.

Glad you had a good time away @joedenise and yay to missing the rain showers. That was a good choice when you ate out.
I went to A!di for our weekly shop. Got a chicken crown in a foil tray for DH and I for tonight. Says it serves 4 so we shall see! It's 2.5 syns per 100g but I have plenty of syns left today. I'm doing roasted carrots, courgettes and potatoes with it. I also have some chickpeas roasting to fill up the oven. Had a snack pack the other day so thought I'd try to recreate it with fry light. Will update on the results later!!
DH is just finishing painting the tallboy and we are done with the messy stuff. Need for DS2 to go out so we can use his bedroom for clothes storage overnight!
Only a single egg left for my omelette so ended up scrambling it with a little cheese and some spinach. Had this just before I went shopping and it really hit the spot.
I'm in the office tomorrow so will make my overnight oats up now and sort some leftovers for lunchtime.
Have a good evening all,

I love scrambled eggs with spinach and often have that on toast for breakfast, particularly when DH is at golf as he's not keen!
@Coxy11 roasted chickpeas are considered a tweak and should be synned the same as peanuts - so very high in syns! I've never tried them to be honest because of the way they're supposed to be synned.

Missed your loss yesterday @Coxy11. Well done on that and all the painting. 👏👏👏
I think the chicken you actually eat is likely to be low syn as the value probably includes the skin. Same with the chick peas as I think the tweak is to stop you eating too many.
Well done on dodging the showers today @joedenise. We were the same with the football and managed to get home before the heavy stuff started. How odd that the restaurant served gammon but only in a mixed grill. I think it's about chain pubs where they have limited flexibility. Our local serves JPs as a meal but not supposed to have it as a side. They did make an exception last time I was there so 🤞 they'll do it again.
Syns have gone a bit crazy here today as I had a shop bought sandwich at lunch time. Other meals are fine though. I'll just draw a line and get back on plan tomorrow. Until the next time... 🤣0 -

It's a so hard to resist the crackling on pork @bubbs. Glad to hear you resisted it but DH enjoyed it. 😋
Hope you feel better soon from your jab. I just felt yuk the day after. Headache (and feeling tired) was about the only symptom but that magically went almost to the minute 24 hours after my appointment.1 -

Morning all, it's horrible here this morning, wet and windy. The forecast is for the rain to move on later and if it does I'll get some washing done, if not it will have to wait - I don't like drying clothes indoors if I can avoid it. The bin isn't quite full yet so can definitely wait another day or two if necessary!
I need to pop out later to do a bit of shopping and also need to let my friend's dogs out for a wee about 11 so will time so that I'm coming back via her house about that time. I've got my covid jab this afternoon and hoping it doesn't affect me too much as I have a nurse appointment tomorrow afternoon. If it affects like the first one did then I will struggle so hoping it's like others seem to have just 24 hours of tiredness but we shall see.
I totted up my syns for the week last night and it's not as bad as I thought and have 27 syns left for today and tomorrow and probably won't need anywhere near that!
Today's plan:
B - scrambled eggs, spinach & cheese on toast - HEA2; HEB; P; S
L - vegetables soup - S; F
D - lamb chops (fat removed); potatoes; green beans, peas - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - none planned
Have a good day everyone.

Morning everyone,
I was meant to be in London today but woke at 4.30am with a migraine - oh my days I felt rough. No way could I have got up at 6am and been ready for 7.30am train travel. I have had tea and tablets plus overnight oats and am now WFH. Will go in Wednesday as no desks available tomorrow (we still have to book one).
Carpet fitters are here to do our bedroom, box room and landing/stairs. Good job my head is feeling better as lots of banging and crashing going on. Tonight we will move back to our bedroom and sort out wardrobes etc. Almost done!
That pork crackling looks lush @bubbs - I find I can't eat that sort of thing now though as my stomach can't cope with it. Same with chip shop batter - urggh!
The roast chicken joint was demolished by DH and I - meant to serve 4 but we were hungry! I roasted some small potatoes (skin on) with some carrots and courgettes - really enjoyed it.
Food today:
B - overnight oats, mullerlight cherry, frozen whole cherries - HEB, 0.5
L - Cous Cous, salad leaves, pickles - 1
D - smoked salmon and pea pasta - contains cream so 3 syns
HEA - milk
HEA - babybel light x 2
Syns - 4.5 plus a hi fi bar so 7.5 total
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy
