Morning all, raining here
Well done on your loss @SingleSue and for getting back into range @joedenise. I do hope you start to feel better soon x
@Jellybaby please keep posting! I will join you in your wish for a lottery win/new job/random distant relative leaving me a large inheritance! Great to see you're on plan despite everything x
Hope DD's house is back together soon @maman - that's such an upheaval, but OMG to your parents' neighbours @bubbs - that's terrible!
New sofas arrived Tuesday and DH not 100% happy with them. We didn't sit on the armchair from the range and it has a different back cushion (hard foam instead of feather like the sofas....) We will obviously keep it but DH a bit grumpy. I think it will look better once we've accessorised the room. That's the next job!!
My day in the office was non-stop yesterday - I got loads done despite boss sitting beside me! Even managed to get out at lunchtime and buy a (sshhhh) gift for C! DH was at the pub last night so I went to see Emily - it's about Emily Bronte - very good but sad!! Step count for yesterday was 10,700 steps. I'm going to see if I can get to 10k each day for the next 30 days. Will be difficult when WFH but will try...

Cold, wet and windy here - normal day in ScotlandWell done on the loss @SingleSue and hope your cold goes soon @joedenise

L - baked potato with cheese (HEXA2) and pickles
D - pasta with tomato sauce, roasted veg on side

That's a good target for the steps @Coxy11. It'll do you good to get out and have a walk when WFH. You could either take a break in the middle of the day or get it done early on like @ruby_eskimo does. 🤔
It started off wet, grey and windy here today too @Jellybaby but turned out quite nicely eventually.
I'm going to draw a line (or should that be a veil?) over today. SW breakfast was fine, but we went out for lunch, and I joined others having battered haddock and chips. I had a glass of wine too and will have more later. Thank goodness I don't have to go to WI for a while. 😁
ETA - Sorry, missed your very early post @joedenise. Hope you feel better soon and get some sleep. 😴0 -

Have just been out for an hours walk. Did my old 5k running route. Would love to get back to running but just the thought of it makes me anxious! Now on 12.6k steps.Glad you had a nice lunch @maman. Jealous that you can eat battered fish and chips. I would be so ill!
Get well soon @joedenise.We had (Parma) ham and melon as the starter at our wedding @bubbs - lovely combo!Lovely chilli con carne tonight and 2 portions left for the freezer.Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -
Morning!
Fell asleep on the sofa last night - think it was the night-time walking! I only had one scary moment when I heard someone running behind me and it was a young guy jogging. You'd have thought he'd have crossed over the road! It's all residential streets and well lit, but as a woman you're never complacent. I don't wear headphones for example, not even during the day.
Dark here still. I have my covid booster booked for this morning so need to dig out a mask as they are still required in our surgery.
Food will be:
B - blueberries, fruit wheats, mullerlight - S, HEB, 0.5
L - JP, tuna, 1tbsp LTL mayo, salad leaves, pickles, 2 satsumas - 1.5
D - kedgeree, mango - P
HEA - milk
HEA - mini babybel
Syns - 2 plus hi fi bar so 5 total
Think TOTM is loaming as I feel very bloated - typical that it's WI tomorrow!

Morning all, still feeling rough although definitely better than yesterday. I certainly slept a bit better last night and only woke up a couple of times although was awake for about an hour from 2.45 - 3.45 and was actually think about getting up because I was coughing and blowing my nose quite a bit.
Need to pop out to the farm shop as forgot to pick up mushrooms, potatoes and onions when I went shopping with my friend the other day! Probably because we chatting while we shopped! She forgot a couple of things as well. It's unusual for me to forget things as I always use a list - but it's not much good having a list if you don't put everything on it!
So today's plan:
B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
L - pasta and veg (from freezer) - S; F
D - jerk chicken, rice 'n' peas - P; S; F; 2
HEA - milk
HEB - none planned
Syns - sausages 2; light coconut milk 2. May have a couple of rum & ginger beer or G&Ts this evening.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. Hope the cold goes soon @joedenise and well done for staying within your target range!
I find it's easier for me to get 10k steps when I WFH @Coxy11 as I'm not chained to the desk quite so much as when I'm in the office. I try to start work about 7:30 so I can log off at 4 and go for a walk straight away then. Like you I do my old 5k running route and at that time there's lots of people around walking their dogs or walking their kids home from school so I feel a bit safer.
Hope your parents' neighbours get their floor sorted soon @bubbs. DH's sister and her ex-husband moved into their own flat and then moved out 6 weeks later because it turned out that there was a massive leak from their neighbours above that was flowing behind the walls and into their living room. They had to live with my MiL for 6 months while it got fixed - took about 2 months just to dry everything out 😳
Office day was interesting yesterday - very busy and lots of politics talk, plus an incident at a coffee shop just up the road as I was walking in with lots of police etc. and the possibility of a promotion on the horizon next year, just as I was starting to think about looking for a new job 😆 Managed to rustle up a tuna and cucumber sandwich to take to work so stuck to plan. Today I've had a couple of boiled eggs and toast for breakfast. Lunch is probably going to be some more soup (keep finding pots of the stuff in the freezer) and then tonight we're having taco's because I ordered another gousto box to get us through the next few days before we go to Lisbon next week. Tomorrow I'm at a wedding in London and have no idea what to wear but at least I know what I'm eating as we were able to pick in advance 😊

Morning, despite sleeping for seven hours straight, I'm still tired this morning. Maybe the weather, it's really damp and dismal. Feeling very bloated too @Coxy11, hmm maybe that's playing a part and I need to up fluids.
Another busy day of work but it's 'FriYAY' 😁 and I plan to will log off at 4.30.
Today's food
B - f/f Greek yoghurt, 40g Cheerios, raspberries
L - lentil soup
D - mince and tatties, peas and carrots
Have a good day all.0 -
It really does make a difference (to weightloss and everything else) to get a good night's sleep. 😁 I'm assuming that was the new sofa that you found so comfy @Coxy11? 🤔
We had porridge and fruit for breakfast but I'm prioritising mse over SW for the rest of the day.
DD has given me lots of bits from a Pret TGTG bag. I've frozen the croissants and teacakes as DH will eat those but we're having the salads later today and I'll cook some potatoes to fill us up. Also a smoked salmon granary roll for my lunch. It's all tasty food so I really can't waste it.
I'm doing my meal plan and shop later so will be back on plan properly tomorrow. 😊0
