As expected the rain really came down a while ago but it is dry again now. Have portioned up the pulled pork from yesterday and have bagged up and frozen enough for another 3 meals of pork pork rolls plus enough for pulled pork rolls this week. These will be had with chips, corn on the cob, coleslaw and salad to make it a bit more substantial. Really pleased with that as means the meat element of these meals work out at less than 50p a portion.
Well done @Jellybaby on staying on plan over the weekend and snacking on Speed and Protein foods rather than junk last night!

Hopefully that gain is just fluid retention @ruby_eskimo. How long before you go to Lisbon? 🤔
What can you do if your DD wants to give him another chance@Coxy11??🤔 I'd find it hard ever to forget how he trashed her big birthday weekend but it's her life. Difficult though. 🤔
Yes, @Jellybaby, having SW friendly snacks available is a super idea. Don't write it off as free food as having protein and speed is far better for you. 👍🏼
You've done well to get all those meals from the pulled pork @joedenise. I think we're all getting more conscious than ever of costs. DH won't be home for dinner tonight so I've promised myself egg and chips but not without thinking how extravagant putting the oven on just for me is??
Your carpet story reminds me of seeing the reverse in Turkey this year. We came back to our apartment one day to find the cleaners had the stair carpet stretched out in the street shampooing it. Then they suspended it from the roof terrace to dry. My friend explained that in Turkish homes they clean their carpets and put them away in summer and bring them out again in winter.
Good idea about the quick wash @bubbs. I must check the spin speed on mine as I wouldn't want a low spin if drying indoors.

I soaked the bedding for a couple of hours before giving them a 15 minute wash this morning. Fortunately the sun came out so they are out on the line drying but if they're not completely dry they can go on the airer. My 15 minute wash the spin speed is 800 but as I have variable speed I changed it to 1200 so certainly dry enough if I needed to dry them completely indoors.
I agree about having to think about costs now of food, electric, fuel etc etc - it's never ending. I'm glad I've got my halogen oven so I can do chips without putting the oven on - in fact I think it probably makes better chips than doing them in the big oven.
I didn't fancy veg soup in the end so I ended up having some of the pulled pork, LO roast potatoes & some coleslaw mixed with a bit of yoghurt. Very tasty it was too. I didn't even both reheating the pulled pork and just ate it cold!

I checked my WM @joedenise and, as suspected, the quickest wash (20 minutes) has a 900 spin. It has a sort of variable spin but only to lower it!! It can do an extra spin but that just adds to the time. ☹️Certainly something to think about when it needs replacing.
I had one roast potato in the LO veg so my lunch wasn't completely SP. 🤣0 -
My variable spin speed is different for each of the programmes. For the programmes at 40 and above I can change it up to 1600 which is good. For the 20 and 30 degree programmes only up to 1200 but it's still reasonably dry at that speed. the only programme I wish my machine had but doesn't is a spin programme only a rinse and spin programmes which is longer than the quick wash so if I've washed something by hand and want it spun it's quicker to do it on the 15 minute programme than the rinse and spin!
The bedding is dry and folded up - just need to put it away now until next spring/summer!
I soaked a whites load after I'd done the bedding and I've just done that on a 15 minute wash and that's now out on the line and it didn't cost we anything in electric as it was so sunny it was all powered by the solar panels! I'm really glad we used some of my pension lump sum to get the solar panels - expensive at the time but more than paid for themselves now and with the cost of electric going up so much it's still saving money whenever the sun shines and we even get a little bit when it's overcast but light. This summer was exceptional!

I've learned more about my WM today than in all the years I've had it! 🤣 It's obviously got a fixed upper spin limit for each type of fabric but can be lowered. My maximum spin speed is 1200. The positive is that it's years old (JL own brand) and still going strong. 🤞
Anyone would think this was a washing thread not Slimming World! 🤣0 -

Evening washer women 🤣🤣
I use 15 min wash for daily clothes, 90 degree😱 for whites, which is bedding and white towels and in the summer white clothes and wool wash for wool which is 42 mins, but if the weather is not brilliant, i spin again on 15 min wash as still only 30 mins and lowest wash before that is wool wash.
Well not heard from gardener , so i went to see neighbour again to make sure i had right number, she did say tbf she usually texts him and he did say he was going on holiday between now and when he comes to do her final cut in 3 weeks. So i sent a message and still no and answer, she also said you could be blunt and say in message you have broken my window, but i didn't. I said he will deny it anyway.

@bubbs sorry about the gardener man - but will he be able to show his head next door is he does not get in touch. Well you are right it certainly has been the Washer women saga today....just to add my four penneth, I use the 15 min quick wash and set temp on 20 degrees, also add clothes antibac liquid to rinse with conditioner, works well. I do put bedding on 30 degrees and longer wash but still at 20 degrees.
