Morning all, supposed to be a nice day today so hung out a machine load to dry today which I did yesterday.  Another load on now which I'll hang out shortly.

We're off to a National Trust place today so will probably end up eating out.  Have quite a few syns left so hopefully I can find something which isn't too synful!

Do hope the gardener gets in touch and admits breaking your window @bubbs but it doesn't sound like he's likely to if he's done it before and denied it.  Would your neighbour back you up?

I've got my jab booked for next week; DH had his a couple of weeks ago and he was fine with it so hopefully I will as well.  The only one I was unwell with was the first one and it was just a case of being very tired and sleeping a lot - to the extent I actually went to bed the afternoon the day after - and that's something I never to usually!

    Today's plan:

    B - kedgeree - P; S; F
    L - eating out - P; S; F?
    D - pulled pork roll, chips, coleslaw, corn on the cob - HEB; P; S; F; 1

    HEA - milk
    HEB - wm roll
Syns - LTL mayo 1; lunch?

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all.  I had 24 hours of feeling tired and had a headache after the jab but after that I was fine.  It's because it's aimed at the 2 variants rather than the previous jabs which have only been for 1.  Fingers crossed those yet to have it only experience minor side-effects.

Enjoy your day out @joedenise, I usually can't resist a cream tea when I go to a NT place - their scones are usually amazing!

Busy day at work ahead of me today but hey ho.  Had scrambled egg and toast for breakfast, lunch is going to be some soup from the freezer and dinner is sweet and sour tofu.

Change of plan!  Day out cancelled - we can't get anywhere due to accidents other than our local town and the next town via the backstreets which doesn't help with getting where we were planning.  Just need to find another nice day to do it!  There's been an accident getting onto the M2 and a 2 car crash to get onto the A2 and the road's been closed so we just gave up and came home!

So at least I won't be using unnecessary syns!  Will be making a brunch hash using up bits and pieces from the fridge plus a handful of mince and top it all off with a couple of fried eggs and it will be syn free - bonus!

Bought some veg from the farm shop on the way home so I'll be making a beef stew tomorrow in the PC.  Just need to get some diced beef out of the freezer (which we bought back from France with us).  That will be dinner on Thursday night.

@bubbs am I allowed to say man is a sw.ne

@joedenise are you sure you couldn't go out or did you actually decide to do more......washing😁
As for the covid jab....I never had any problems other than the very first when I spent about 3 or 4 days thinking I was living the the our chest freezer....so cold.  Plus if it is the 2 combined (omicron) well hopefully still have a wee bit resistance after the early July thing.  Due mine next week....but as birthday next week we might have a few days away, so hopefully can put back a  week.

Strange system round here as this last lot are being given at surgery and only one morning each week.  It is strange cause how will they address those over 50's working through the week.  Ah DH would say I think to much.

Have got a batch minced beef hash in crock pot so will keep be going couple night.  DH is away two nights so I have complete control of the remote.....oh bliss.

B 1 wbix blue and rasp and FF yog....had pear at 11am
L  open sandwich beetroot toms and crabstick LCow Lite
D  Hash and green beans...possible beetroot.

    Syns Hifi 3

HEA Milk and cheese  HEB wm bread and 1 wbix

@Vegastare - we definitely couldn't get out - well unless we queued for goodness how long and decided that as our tickets are valid until the end of next month we'll find another day to go.  Just got to hope for some more decent weather like today!  And no I definitely didn't do anymore washing - it's completely up to date until we go to bed tonight!  Enjoy having control of the remote for a couple of nights!

Our surgery aren't doing any of the jabs - they haven't since the first 2 so we'll be having ours at the local pharmacy but the only way of booking is via the NHS website as no walk in centres locally - nearest one is about 30 miles away so not worth the effort and waste of fuel, also it's in area where it's difficult to park.

Looking forward to the pulled pork rolls tonight!  Will be synning the chips but only 3.5 syns (that's for 150g - we bought them in France and they are much lower fat than any we can buy here - apart from SW ones which DH doesn't like!).

Shame about your aborted day out @joedenise but a waste of time and money to sit queueing in traffic.

On the washing saga, I realised that I can use the spin function but switch it off so it doesn't have to run for the full time. I tried it this morning after a quick dark wash. It does take an age for the door to open but worth knowing. I also dug out the manual for the WM which tells me how many Kwh each cycle uses.

Did anyone ever track down those Aldi chips? I wonder what they're like?

Arrangements for the Covid jab seem really random @Vegastare. Perhaps it's up to local providers whether they want to get involved and how. Fortunately, our surgery had fixed up some clinics last week before I got around to booking online. My symptoms were almost identical to yours @ruby_eskimo, just a headache and some tiredness which went after 24 hours.

Is the mince hash like a savoury mince but with potatoes in? 🤔

Not sure what's happening this evening. DH is out at an early evening event with nibbles so not sure how hungry he'll be when he gets back. I plan to make sausage casserole anyway and if he's not hungry then I'll keep his portion for another day.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, plums (S), banana (F)
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S)
    D- sausage casserole (P, F, S), pasta (F)
    Syns- 0

@maman 5% mince with tin toms stock garlic veggie mix sweet pot.  Have heard baked beans or other can be added - never tried but put red lentils in once and prefer without.  Give doggy his tea then get mine.

What a dog I have a true multi tasker, had his jabs today(keep it in the family) and vet gave him a biscuit which he gobbled without noticing having the injection....he is crackers.

That's crazy @beanielou, how do people manage without transport!?? And no disabled parking either? Who plans these things? 🤔 Meanwhile, Covid numbers and hospital admissions on the rise. 🤔

Forgot to add syns for my sausages. Not sure how many. Max 4?

    Evening!

I’ve been in the office today - didn’t get a moments peace! New floor is down in the dining room/home office hurrah! It was really noisy yesterday and they kept all the lights on all day and the front door open! DH said same again today! Hoping to move our desks and laptops back in tomorrow night.

Tonight we have cleared the box room/my dressing room as need to paint woodwork and walls before Monday. That will start tomorrow night.

    In food news(!) I’ve had:
    B - overnight oats, cherries, Mullerlight - HEB, 0.5
    L - LO chicken mascarpone, satsumas, grapes - 1
D - grilled gammon, sw chips, baked beans, egg
    HEA - milk
    Syns - hi fi 3, 1.5 plus a rum n Pepsi max 3 so 7.5 total

Maybe your neighbour should withhold payment @bubbs - that’ll soon get the gardener to come round!

Sorry your day out was curtailed @joedenise. My DSis has cancelled her gym membership in Hempstead as just too much aggro getting there!

    Take care all
