Weigh in day tomorrow (well strictly speaking, today now). I've not strayed and I have tried a couple of new things this week to keep interest but with my body, you just never know what the result will be, regardless of the outcome, I am now spending much more time oiking  jeans and bra straps (despite changing the band/strap 'setting') up as they keep falling down a bit and so certainly smaller measurements.

I've spent the last few days reading the previous thread to this one, without realising it was the previous thread to this one. I only fell in on the last couple of pages that it was. Anyway, on reading it, I have decided I am definitely weird as when I make my mind up I am going to lose weight, I can very easily just stop eating any naughties and don't really crave them. That said, this time around, I wasn't really having them anyway, nor would the amount I was eating be a weight putting on amount for a normal person (it would be a diet amount of calories for a normal mobile person) but the wheelchair and my being stuck in it means that my requirements are lower than most and of course, the point where weight goes on is far lower.

I think what has been working for me (fingers crossed for tomorrow), is switching to low fat/no fat versions, being careful with carbs (my body really doesn't like them anyway) and having a truck load of fruit each week, at the rate I am going I risk being more satsuma than anything else....oh and eating at regular intervals, something I wasn't doing before, it was all over the place with missed meals here, there and everywhere!

    Anyway, fingers crossed!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

    Morning!

Good luck for WI today @SingleSue x I too am at risk of turning orange - I love satsumas!

WFH today and fruit is a bit scarce so I will need to pop out at lunchtime to grab some. I only have blueberries and 4 satsumas left. DS1 and fiancee(!) are coming for tea tonight but won't be until around 8pm(!!) Will do spag bol in the slow cooker so only have to cook the spaghetti when they arrive. Yes, you've guessed it - we will be decorating after work/before they come! Tonight we will be rubbing down and undercoating the woodwork in the box room.

    Food today:
    B - poached egg, 1 x WM toast, spinach - P, 1/2 HEB, S
    L - tuna and chickpeas, salad, pickles, 2 x satsumas - P, S
    D - spaghetti bolognaise, parmesan - HEA
    HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
Syns - 175ml of red wine - 6.5 (Yes I WILL measure it lol!)

    Have a good day all
    Coxy

Morning all, what a grey day but no washing to do today, LOL!  Not going to WI - going to leave it another week.  Taking my friend for a hospital appointment for her eyes and she's not sure if they are going to be doing anything or whether it's just yet another "talking" appointment - waste of time if it is (and money as it's an hour away!).

Good luck for WI this morning @SingleSue. It sounds as though you have been eating a bit better this week and you are sounding a bit more upbeat.  Regular eating is an important part of healthy eating.  Certainly sounds as though you are losing inches even if you haven't actually lost any weight.  Are you actually using your syns as it sounds as though you don't really use them and they are also an important part of the plan.  Well done on reading through the last thread - there was certainly a lot of pages - I don't think this one is too far behind!

Bad news for you @Coxy11 - 6.5 syns is for a small (125ml) glass of red wine!  A 175ml glass is 9 syns!!!  Still within syns but a few more than you thought.  How do I know this?  I like to have a couple glasses and always used to have 175ml glasses until they put the syns up so 2 glasses would automatically take me over syns so reduced my glasses down to 125ml to stay within syns (doesn't always work!).  For some reason no matter what size glass I have I want a couple of glasses, it's a physiological thing I suppose.

    Today's plan:

    B - toasted cheese sandwich - HEB; HEA2
    L - jacket potato, beans, salad - S; F
D - shepherds pie, veg - P; S; F (will use some of the savoury mince I cooked last week and froze)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but who knows!

    Have a good day everyone.

Not having all my syns on a daily basis, no. I don't go completely synless though and have some every day and save some up for a treat for after weigh in. As for upbeat, yes and no really but it was helped over the last week by getting slimmer of the week last week which gave me a high and of course, not feeling quite so piggy in my clothes.

I checked on my scales this morning, it's showing a sts (which at group could translate to a gain, sts or a small loss!) and I've woken up feeling like someone has inflated my boobs, I don't have star week anymore after a hysterectomy back in 2001 but I still have my ovaries and this is exactly 28 days after the less than brilliant week and I was always a regular every 28 days gal. Only time will tell if a pattern emerges over the next couple of months though and if it is and I am still having a cycle all these years later (it will answer the question on if I have gone through the menopause yet, something I had been wondering about).

Morning all.  Good luck with weigh in today @SingleSue - definitely sounds like you could still be having a "cycle", aren't hormones a wonderful thing 😆

We're joining you on the DIY front @Coxy11 - currently have a carpenter here for the next few days installing new internal doors, which will mean repainting all our woodwork afterwards so it all matches 😳

Had porridge this morning made with almond milk, lunch is more leftover soup from the freezer and dinner is slow cooked pulled pork with some mac and cheese and coleslaw.  Will end up with leftovers to put in the freezer probably, which isn't ideal as I need to make space for Christmas stuff 😂

Hope you all have a good day!

Oh no! I checked on the app and put in Malbec 13% and it said 175ml is either 6.5 or 7?

I just put in red wine and it came up 9 syns but as you've said it's Malbec 13% I input that and you're right it comes up at 6.5 for 175ml.  That's really weird!  Will have to do that in future as I always just put red wine when I have wine!  Looks like I could have been doing myself out of syns for a while!

Well blow me down,  a 2lbs loss.  Think some of it was water retention/ bladder being awkward as I just couldn’t stop weeing when I got to work (I do a 1.5 hour shift before group) plus maybe scales being on their way out.

Whatever it was, it was a very pleasant surprise..even if I still feel like someone has taken an air pump to my boobs. :D

@SingleSue  - Well done a great loss this week.  Hopefully that will keep you motivated for another week and you can continue with some good losses.

It certainly sounds as though you're still having a monthly cycle.  My old consultant used to say that quite a lot of women do but not all - certainly not something that I've had to contend with thankfully!
