Thanks @maman, there's still a bit stuff which needs using up but hoping to spread it out a bit!  Picked up a TGTG back from Morrisons this evening and really pleased that it was all fruit and veg and no bread!  I got strawberries, grapes, bananas, 2 iceberg lettuces, ibroccoli, corn on the cob, baking potatoes (small ones!), normal potatoes, parsnips so not bad for £3.09.

I only like the Hellmanns LTL mayo - I've tried own brand ones but just don't like them.  Even though it's more expensive I'll carry on buying it as it's one of those things which I don't have a lot of, usually only a Tbs at a time.

Well done @Coxy11, you're really smashing the walking - no way could I walk that amount!  Hope you get some vegetables which your meal tonight!

Morning all, can't believe it's Friday already!  Have got the bedding in the machine and will get it out on the line as soon as it finishes.  It's forecast to be dry this morning with rain forecast mid afternoon onwards so hopefully I can get it dry, or at least dry enough to put on the airer, before it rains!

Some of the potatoes are a bit of the soft side from the TGTG bag so I'm going to peel, chop and boil them up and mash them and then will then open freeze so that they don't go to waste.  The ice cream scoop I bought at a boot fair will come in handy for that!  Will probably end up using the frozen mash to top a cottage pie or something like that rather than just reheating to have with sausages for example.  Never tried freezing mash before but worth a go rather than wasting the potatoes.

    Today's plan:

B - porridge made with water, strawberries, red and green grapes (all from TGTG bag), few raspberries from garden
    L - spicy carrot & lentil soup
D - LO beef stew, potatoes, broccoli (needs using up from TGTG bag as already yellowing)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - porridge
Syns - probably a couple of rum and ginger beers

    Have a good day everyone.

I agree @joedenise this week has totally run away from me.  Work has been horrendous and I need to disentangle myself from a lot of stuff I really don't need to be involved in!

I also picked up a TGTG bag  first time trying out M & S.  Was £5 covering £15 if you were buying at full price but we got way over that with loads of food.  A lot was treat stuff (to us) that I wouldn't buy at their proper price - fresh lemonade, chocolate croissants, a huge chicken and bacon pasta salad, a Japanese style pork wrap, sandwiches but DS was delighted.  I was happy with several bags of rocket, watermelon cubes, nectarines and a fresh stir fry sauce!

I've had a few SP days this week but more to do with what I can eat to minimise toothache and what I have in as the fridge was looking very bare until we got the bag last night!

    Today's plan:
    B - f/f Greek yoghurt, nectarines
L - in the office today so hoping the canteen has soup I like
D - baked potato with tuna and salad (1.5 syns for salad cream)

    Have a good day everyone!

Great that the TGTG bags had something for everyone @Jellybaby and @joedenise. It all helps. 😊

I've not done my shopping list or meal plan yet. I know DH has a busy week ahead and need to check if he's home for dinner every night. Secretly hoping I can have my favourite egg and chips one night. 😉

I have everything I need for today's menu so can post that.

    Today's EE plan-
    B- HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- JP (F), savoury mince (P, S), salad bits (S)
    D- HM meatballs (P, F, S), tomato sauce (S), HEA2 Parmesan
Syns- tbc (as I know I should be cutting back before next week's WI🤔)

    Afternoon all,
We are on the train from Gretna Green to Carlisle having taken the bus from Lockerbie to GG. Its 50mph winds and torrential rain here so we’re hoping to get an earlier train back to London from
Carlisle. Currently booked on the 18:46 but will happily pay to change it.
I had a toasted Teacake for breakfast so hoping there’s something at Carlisle station to take on the train!

Mum and Dad ok thanks, but my sister rang me as she took them hospital and shopping yesterday  and when they got home dad needed to go in the garage , she said do you want me to walk with you as he was a bit unsteady, he said yes please, so she did, he then said he is not scared of dying 😥😥 , just leaving Mum as she won't manage 😫😫😫 because she is not very mobile. This is the 2nd time he has said this 😪

It's the opposite for us @beanielou!  Was lovely this morning even got some bedding washed and dried but it's horrible now, absolutely lashing it down and howling winds!  Hope it's better tomorrow but forecast not looking brilliant.
