Well done for getting back to the exercise @ruby_eskimo. 😊
Hope you enjoyed your holiday @SingleSue and you did well to make some wise choices and get back on plan when you arrived home. 🤞that you haven't done too much damage.
I've put savoury mince in the SC today with, hopefully, enough for tomorrow's dinner and at least another meal for the freezer. I just freeze the mince and then choose what to make from it. I think it's getting close to cottage pie weather. 🤔
More dancing tonight to keep the Body Magic up. Last week I danced 4 evenings so I'm doing well. 😊
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), HEA milk for drinks
L- JP (F), veggie chilli (P, S), salad (S), cottage cheese (P)
D- baked haddock (P), SW chips, mushy peas (F), carrot chips, tomatoes, mushrooms, green stuff (S)

Hi everyone,
A very quick check in from me. We are currently in Abingdon having walked:
Milngavie to Glasgow (Friday)
Glasgow to Motherwell (Saturday)
Motherwell to Larkhall (Sunday)
Larkhall to Lanark (Monday) and
Lanark to Abingdon todayWe’ve had good weather during the day but bitter cold at night and haven’t slept well in the tent. Made the decision to book into a Days Inn tonight - clean and simple but warm. Food has been whatever we can get/carry!
Get well soon to all the poor lies, welcome newbies and safe journey home @joedenise

We're home! Have brought everything in from the motorhome but it's going to need a really good clean after nearly a month's holiday and just a dustpan and brush to use the whole time. At one place there was a lot of fluffy seed heads and loads seem to have got into the van and settled on the mats which fortunately are washable! Just hope the machine can shift the stuff if not that will mean new mats! Will be a while before they get washed though as plenty of other washing to do which is far more important!
Breakfast and dinner are on plan but lunch definitely wasn't! I made bacon omelettes for breakfast and dinner tonight we're having pork steaks, boiled potatoes (will cook extra to use for breakfast tomorrow); braised lettuce a la Francais.
Haven't jumped on the scales yet but will first thing tomorrow (after a couple of cups of tea which is what I have before WI at group!). At least then I'll know what the damage is and how much I need to shift! Wouldn't be surprised if it's half a stone although none of my shorts felt tight so may be not as much as that but will have to wait and see.
Back to normality tomorrow!

@Coxy11 was really flabbergasted reading the last leg....is she superwoman or what I thought 🤣
@joedenise glad you've made it home.
@SingleSue and others really interesting to read about other GP's must admit through and since covid have never had problem speaking over phone same day to either nurse or GP, always decent and thorough enough, and said would need follow up in surgery if no improvement. But they certainly are not as before. No walk in access.

Morning all and back on plan as best I can - still need to go shopping but also need to sort out the outside freezer as we bunged everything from the inside freezer into carrier bags so we could turn off the inside F/F to save a bit of power while we were away! Will need to go shopping at some point over the next couple of days but also need to work out what I actually need!
I bought home some stewing beef so made a beef stew yesterday which will do a couple of meals so as that as starting point today's plan:
B - egg, LO potatoes fried up, baked beans - P; F
L - corned beef & mustard sandwich - HEB; 6
D - beef stew, potatoes - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - butter 3.5; corned beef 2; mustard 0.5
Haven't read everything so sorry if I've missed anything! Well done to losers, and welcome to newbies.
Hope everyone who hasn't been well is feeling better now.
I just need to get back into the swing of things again!
Have a good day everyone.
PS - I've put on a massive 6lb! DH has somehow lost 2lb - no idea how as he's eaten and drunk even more than me! It's so unfair!!!

Morning all, welcome back @joedenise you enjoyed your holiday so well worth the gain and you'll get it off again in no time.
Lovely to see all your food again @bubbs and no, tooth is still giving me gip! It wasn't my usual dentist and couldn't find anything wrong but thinks I need a gum guard for sleepingI'm back next week and will ask her to do a more thorough check as the pain seems to be coming from one particular tooth at the back.
Seems like I'm getting an MOT this week. So far it's been dentist, chiropodist, doctor later today and flu jab on Friday!
Today's plan:
B - f/f Greek yoghurt and nectarines
L - tuna salad
D - pork medallions, carrot chips, cauliflower, broccoli, sweetcorn
Syns - 1.5 for salad cream
Hope you're all well and having a smashing day!0 -
Good to have you back @joedenise. That's the sort of gain I had for my three week holiday. It'll go when you get back in the swing of things. I agree that it's really unfair that your DH has managed a loss. Why does it work like that????🤔
Probably a good opportunity to sort your freezers out while you decide what you need to buy. I find it cathartic to refresh my freezer inventory. I feel so much more in control when I know exactly what's in there. 😊
I had to do a retake when I read Abingdon too @Coxy11, then I realised you actually weren't just outside Oxford after all🤣. Hope you got a better and warmer night's sleep in the hotel.
Not much food for you yesterday @bubbs, although your dinner made up for it a bit. Hopefully you'll have a decent lunch and breakfast today. I suppose it's easy not to notice when you're busy.
Nothing worse than toothache @Jellybaby, hope your dentist can sort it for you. I can see you're still persevering with SP. Hope it pays off and you're not feeling hungry.
I portioned up the savoury mince and I've got enough for 4 meals including today plus a small portion for me to have on a JP. Really looking forward to it as it's not been on the menu since last winter. 😋
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, bacon (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
L- cold meat (P), fried potato, onion and mushroom hash (F, S), beetroot (S)
D- savoury mince (P, S), new potatoes (F), cauli, broccoli, cabbages (S)

Just back from Weigh in, I lost 4.5lbs and middle son lost a massive 8lbs!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.1 -
Wow @SingleSue - brilliant losses for both you and your middle son! Just wish I could lose like that but mine only come off 0.5 or lb a week if I'm lucky!
I've got plans to make a batch of savoury mince sometime next month as it's so useful for so many different meals. Can I ask what you put in yours @maman apart from the usual onion, garlic, tin toms? I'm planning on stretching it a bit with some red lentils, soya mince and chopped mushrooms; will probably add some chopped peppers, grated carrots & courgettes if they're not too expensive!
When you batch cook your brown rice do you do it in the slow cooker? Thinking I might try making some basmati/wild rice like that as that takes about 20 minutes like the brown rice and DH really likes it. Might even try pressure cooking it!
Freezer is sorted a bit now - I've got a few HM ready meals so will be using some of those during October. There are also a few single portion meals as well so DH and I can have different things some days.
