A quick hello to all. A filling/tooth cracked yesterday and I can't eat very well or very much - every cloud and all that
managed to get an emergency appointment later this afternoon.
So far, it's been yoghurt with raspberries, lentil soup and dinner will be whatever I can manage if I feel like eating.
Safe journey @joedenise1 -
Is it just my GP or does your GP allow you inside, I had to wait outside in the pouring rain with about 6 people while I reception worker came to each of us and then shut door to find whatever and come back to open door with answers.
One young man was really mouthing off...all you need, then given blood form with number to phone. Got number and it directs to web page to book online - nothing till Thursday afternoon.
Anyway miserable here today and cold, popped into Home Bargains and the shelves were bare DH said same of Wilko on Saturday. Interesting to see it @joedenise noticed empty shelves in France😒

Vegastare not noticed any empty shelves here but prices are definitely much higher than earlier this year when we were here. Most of our meals have involved pork steaks or stewing steak! Chicken is an unbelievable price! Used to be quite cheap to buy a cooked chicken which would last a few days but now they are €18 for a fairly small one which would probably only do us an evening meal and a lunch!

Funny Denise my lovely neighbours moved to Spain earlier this year and they mentioned chicken too. Weird times all round.
Hope your nearly home.0 -
Good to hear from you @joedenise. That's a ridiculous price for a chicken. The rotisserie chickens are very popular in France but I can't see the average person paying that sort of money.
We're having chicken tonight from yesterday's roast. An amazing YS bargain from Morrison's for 45p!🤣
4lbs is very doable in a month @ruby_eskimo. I'd love to be in Lisbon right now as it's getting quite cold here.
Our GP is more or less back to normal now @Vegastare but I think that's unusual. We can still get a same day face to face appointment if you don't mind any doctor. I agree about empty shelves, they're everywhere. ☹️
It's good to be back on plan after all my meals out. My next WI is next week so I'll try my best not to be sidetracked. I was well in range and below target in June. I'd love to do that again before Christmas. 🤔
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, 2 fried eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S)
L- cold meat (P), 1 potato (F), fried vegetables and beetroot (S)
D- cold chicken (P), SW chips (F), salad, carrot chips (S).
Syns - LTL mayo 1, water biscuits 2, horseradish 1
The extra syns were in a smoked salmon snack. Not like me, but I think the colder weather is making me hungry. 🤔0 -
Evening all
Denise, nice to hear from you, safe trip home
I went Sainsburys this morning no milk! The pasta shelves were nearly empty and the microwavable rice.
Vegastare i have not been doctors since before covid , only been there for jabs, but we did get a text message last week saying if we needed to see someone ring 111 or go A&E 🙄🙄
Room512 i missed your losses, well done, hope you are feeling better?
I am feeling better today in myself, and back to normal eating 🤪

maman said:Glad to hear you're feeling better @bubbs. Seeing your lovely food again is making me hungry. We had dinner a bit earlier tonight because of the England match so probably why I'm peckish. 🤔Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0

Morning all. Food looks great as always @bubbs and glad to hear you're feeling better.
Safe trip home @joedenise!
Our GP is back to normal-ish @Vegastare but they did take out most of the waiting room chairs a few weeks ago when cases started picking up again round here. They encourage you to fill in the e-consult forms which have worked for us but are useless if you don't have access to a computer because there is A LOT of typing involved.
Thanks for the motivation @maman, I'd also rather be anywhere but here at the moment but that's a whole other story. Hope you get a bit of a rest now after all your socialising! I'm sure you can be well within range by Christmas.
Managed a workout and a walk last night although my legs are complaining about it now. They managed 10+ miles a day in Florida, they can do 5k each day here! Not had breakfast yet as not too hungry (our jacket potatoes last night were huge!) but will probably be more yogurt and fruit when the time comes. Lunch will be soup from the freezer and then dinner is carbonara with added mushrooms.

My doctors appear pretty much back to normal too, including having a busy waiting room with people coughing and spluttering everywhere.
Weirdly, I had more contact with a GP during the main phase of the pandemic than at any other time, seen in person several times too although it has to be said some were for suspicious lumps and bumps, one for an out of control raging infection and earlier this year, stroke like symptoms (it wasn't, turned out to be another neuro related disorder)
Weigh in tomorrow, quite nervous as we had a week away and although we didn't relax completely, there were a few meals that were definitely not suitable for someone going to SW. No cakes or anything of the like though and I did try to make some sensible choices. I've been really strict since coming home so hopefully that will reduce the damage but I fear the absolute best I can hope for is a STS, I'd certainly be celebrating if that was the result but then who knows with my weird and wonderful body!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0
