I'm so pleased everything went to plan for the Royal Family, superb ceremonial and some very caring words.

We've watched TV most of the day. Regardless what your views on royalty, it was an historic occasion.

Managed to squeeze in lunch while the cortege moved to Windsor. Hope the family got something to eat too. 😊

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, fried egg, bacon (P), HEA milk for drinks
    L- ham, egg (P), 1 potato (F), fried vegetables and pickles (S)
D - Morrison's Mexican chicken (P), SW chips (F), carrot chips, green stuff, tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
    Syns - difficult to know??

I picked off the (soggy) tortilla crisps from the chicken so only syns would be in some oil and cornflour according to the ingredients list.

I agree Maman very historic occasion. Many many people will never see another Monarchy funeral unless something drastic happens to King Charles

    Morning,

I agree with you all - what an amazing day. We sure know how to do pomp and ceremony don't we, and it was so fitting for our lovely Queen. I was wondering about food and loo breaks too @maman!

Food was a bit hit and miss in the end yesterday. Didn't have lunch and had some chocolate last night. My cold is coming on and I woke up with a headache and nausea.... Just hoping I can get the worst over with before Thursday! Sorry you're feeling rough @bubbs x

WFH today. We have carpet fitters doing DS2's room this morning, so the entire contents are in our room, landing and spare bedroom. Need to move it all back in later then clear spare room for fitting tomorrow. Also, the council are collecting our large sofa and armchair tomorrow, so need to get those out of the house, onto the drive. That will please the neighbours no doubt, but can't be helped! We will only have a small sofa until mid-October now, but only DH and I mainly as DD off to uni on Saturday.

I need to WI tonight as can't go any other time this week. Will most likely be a gain!

    Food today will be:
    B - poached egg, 1 x wm toast, melon, kiwi - P, 1/2 HEB, S
    L - tuna, salad leaves, tomatoes, pickles, 1tbsp LTL mayo - P, S, 0.5
D - SW carbonara - HEA for parmesan
    HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
    Syns - 0.5

    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy

Good morning.  I thought I had a cold on Sunday and took a Covid test and it was negative. Took a test yesterday and it was positive.  Had managed to avoid it up until now. Waiting for a call for the doctor as I should be prescribed antivirals as I am vulnerable and had to shield before.
Food plans are totally wrecked as OH doesn’t feel well either and so we had to resort to take away as neither of us were well enough to cook.  I am sure the same will happen today as well.  Never mind it is only for a few days.  I am hoping OH doesn’t catch it as he is vulnerable too.
I am hoping everyone else who is poorly feels better soon. Seems to be that time of year.

Hope Covid isn't too bad and passes quickly for you and OH @room512.  I'm joining all those with colds, back to work today and feeling generally blah!

Have stuck to SP since Saturday but I'm finding it hard - really missing the carbs.  I'm dreaming of spaghetti bolognaise, chilli, stir frys so will probably be back to Extra Easy plan tomorrow.

    Today's food:
B - f/f Greek yoghurt, strawberries and nectarines
L - veggie omelette and pickles
D - roast chicken and a tonne of veggies

Using HEXA for milk in coffee and will have second A as cheese with ryvita (HEXB) for supper.

Away to catch up on the last few pages.  Hope you're all having a smashing day!

Oh, poor you @room512. I wonder if you've picked it up at school? 🤔 I do hope you feel better soon. As you said, having take aways will only be a temporary thing but, for the future, I really would recommend batch cooking some HM ready meals. I tend to just have Bolognese and chilli to hand but @joedenise freezes all sorts of meals.

Well done for persevering with SP @Jellybaby. I'm sure not having carbs is partly psychological as we can certainly eat enough on SW to not be hungry. Try cooking carrot chunks instead of slices or julienne. I find that feels like having carbs. I do those on a Sunday and roast them to cut down on potatoes.

I wondered if I was going to get a cold yesterday as my sinuses were aching but I'm fine today so it's probably something to do with air pressure.

The Morrison's YS Mexican chicken dish was very tasty last night. I wouldn't buy it full price (£4.50 for two small pieces of chicken breast in some sauce) but I am planning to recreate something similar. I'm thinking of using salsa as many of the jars are only 1 syn for a couple of tbsps.

Tonight, we have another YS Morrisons chicken dish. Not something I'd normally do but at 90% off full price we'll put up with it. Tonight's is chicken with mushrooms and something. I'm deliberately not looking up syns, just being very mse. 😇 I'll be back on plan properly tomorrow.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), HEA milk for drinks
    L- ham (P), 1 potato (F), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- Chicken and mushroom (P,S), potatoes (F), broccoli, sugar snaps, green beans, tomatoes (S)
    Syns- 🤔
  • Afternoon all.  Sorry to hear that a few of you have colds now, swear I didn't pass it around last week 😆  Hope you make a swift recovery soon @room512 and the drugs help with the CV19 🤞

Personally feeling a lot better this week, so much so that I'm actually going to go out for a walk after work today finally!  Managed to STS this week which is great but would like to lose about 3 or 4 lbs by the time we go to Lisbon at the end of October, so need to get moving again!

Had porridge for breakfast this morning with some raspberries, lunch was split pea soup from the freezer and then dinner tonight is mushroom risotto.

    Hope everyone feels better soon.

Hi all...it seems like so many have colds...hope you soon pick up.

Yes I agree yesterday was something special.  I have to admit I felt quite low after it, I am not good with change and I will always think of Elizabeth as Queen.

Didn't post yesterday.  This darn antibiotics have me reeling.. DH brought in a melon and asked me to cut it up....ick the smell, went quite off - still roll on Sunday and all finished.   So weird eating at moment.  Think the highlight food wise is porridge I get it lovely and creamy with just water and a dessert spoon F F Gr yog stirred in with drizzle agrave syrup

B porridge and blues agrave 0.5 syns
L Cup a soup 4syns slice brown bread
D Grilled seabass and mushy peas HM SW chips
