Queue update - we abandoned our plans! The queue was at capacity at 10am with folks told not to join for at least 6 hours (4pm) It's cold here and as much as it would've been nice to see BFF and pay my respects to HMTQ, we decided to not go. Queue is 14 hours from start to finish as they change guards every 20 minutes. I will have it on the TV instead and walk solemnly around my coffee table lol.

Food has been rubbish today. Grapes for breakfast with a couple of A!di fake lotus biscuits as needed some sugar. Lunch was a mugshot and packet of mini cheddars (A!di fake ones). Also had 2 mini babybels. Dinner will be pan seared salmon with broccoli, sugar snap peas and carrots. No way will I lose tomorrow, but I can't go to WI next Saturday as I'm walking in Scotland. Will need to find a mid-week group instead.

@bubbs your parents!! Sorry your DMum had another disturbed night and DDad didn't sleep again. Can they play some soothing music of something to help him drift off? I know A!exa can do this - waves gently crashing onto the shore or what sounds(!), not sure if they have one though?

    Get better soon @ruby_eskimo - feed a cold/starve a fever remember....

    Have a good evening all

Sorry to hear that your parents had a bad night @bubbs. Our Lidl was low on stock last weekend too. I've been having Aldi bread as none of the my favourite in Lidl. I've only had one slice each day, mainly from habit but I did have a slice of toast last night. I needed comfort food because I was cold.

I was thinking of you when they closed the queue @Coxy11. I think you made a right decision. I'm feeling sorry for the royals, especially the King. He's been in Cardiff all day and now has to go and do another vigil in London. He must be exhausted. I noticed he was walking very carefully today especially on steps.

I'm feeling very 'Que Sera' about SW at the moment. I think it's essential to fit it around your lifestyle otherwise it just becomes a diet. It takes longer but it's sustainable to do 'good when we can' as @joedenise would say.

Morning everyone. Well done to the losers this week! (Feels strange to write that! 😂)
This week I have lost 6.4lb and OH 4lb so makes up for our gain last week.  Really pleased as I went out for a three course meal and OH had Mcdonalds! Having a takeaway tonight but then back on the straight and narrow.  We have been doing SW for four weeks now and OH has lost 13.5lb and I have lost 8lb. Clothes are feeling looser now so nice to see some results.  Still an awfully long way to go!

Looking forward to the long weekend even though it is for a sad reason.

Good luck to all the people WI today.

That's an amazing loss @room512. Thrilled for you both. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Next stop, your next target of 1 stone. 😁

Good to hear that your clothes are already feeling more comfortable. It's worth taking measurements as well as weighing as it's another morale boost to see the inches disappearing.

Hope you feel better today @Vegastare.

I had good service in the pub last night. Although they don't normally offer JPs as a side dish, they do have filled ones on the menu. 🤔 They agreed to swap my chips for a JP and I ordered a side salad as well. I still had the onions rings, tomato and peas with my steak. Syns in onion rings and some mayo but not too bad a choice.

I'm out tonight and it's a shared supper. Usually, it's cold meats and salads and I swerve any quiche or, at least, the pastry. I've made a potato salad with LTL mayo and FF yogurt but there will be some other salad dressings but quite good overall as I'm driving so no wine syns.

My lunch used up bits from the fridge and I added some of the new potatoes destined for the salad. I particularly wanted to use up some broccoli from last week that was on the turn.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- cold meat (P), new potatoes, peas (F), broccoli (S)
    D- cold meat and salads (P, F, S)
    Syns- salad dressings??

Wow fab losses @room512!   Even better when you can feel clothes getting loose 👏👏

WI didn’t go well - 1.5 on 😥. Consultant asked what I’ll do differently this week and I said no idea!  He’s suggested seeing what happens next WI and will give me SAS log if still the same.

I’m thinking of reducing pasta and rice portion sizes and try and have more SP meals. Any other suggestions welcome 😁

Hard luck @Jellybaby. Sadly it can happen even when you stay on plan. The SAS log will show up any 'mistakes' so that's worth doing.

I measure pasta, rice and chips but portions are still generous, especially chips. 🤣 I think the extra Speed is a good idea. I aim for 50% for dinner to offset little for most breakfasts. I find SP lunches relatively easy like omelettes with salad or pickles or a vegetable hash with an egg and /or cold meat.

Other than what you've suggested, I can only think of variety so plenty of different meals including a variety of vegetables. I don't eat much fruit, mainly because I'm lazy, but it is generally higher in sugar so I prefer to have my Speed as veg. 😊

    Hi everyone,

WI this morning was a STS which I was pleased with given Thursdays breadbasket demolition. Well done to @room512 and your DH - I have only lost 10lb since March! Hard luck @Jellybaby, but filling out the SAS log will hopefully help. Did anyone else get the new member talk in group this week? Apparently it's a SW 'thing' for September? Meant for a very short IT of 30 minutes. I'm beginning to think our group is doomed as still no perm consultant since April.

I'm not at group next Saturday as will be hiking Glasgow to Gretna Green with DSis. Will try for a group on Tuesday night as in London Wednesday.

More DIY today - painted the skirting boards in the dining room/home office. Just one coat needed as they were already satin wooded 18 months ago, just wanted to freshen them up before the flooring goes in. Managed to get DS2s remaining uni items in town after group. Felt like muffin the mule carrying it all home as made the mistake of buying the crockery first. B&M had no paper to wrap it up in, so was worried I'd knock and chip it! Also got a bedding set, set of knives, an airer(!), plus a bath mat. Saw a lovely jumper in YMCA in the window, so nabbed that as well (£4.50 bargain as it's wool).

Out for dinner tonight with DD (DS2 meeting a friend). Not sure where we will go, but she's feeling low so I've sent her to get her hair cut and will hopefully cheer her up tonight (she hasn't left her bed in two days).

    Have a good evening everyone.
