Good luck for Wed WI folks.

@Coxy11 hope you are not in office all week if things busy yesterday - what will it get like.  I admire those folk, my old bones wouldn't manage it sadly.  I remember my late Mum always mentioned her adventure down to London to stand and watch the Queens Coronation ...she always spoke of it as one of her major events in her life.

@bubbs hope you Dad's good nights sleep continue... and @SingleSue hope this episode lesson soon and what can I say , I am lucky that I don't have a Babybel thief......mentioned a few week back a £3 bottle almond stuffed olives had a measly couple floating in the jar hubby had been eating every time he opened the fridge door.  Life has been like that in our house looking to sprinkle walnuts on top of a salad only to find crumbs in the bottom.....oh yes he always leaves the proof behind.

Morning all, finally got some Wi-Fi but not very good speed so just a quick one to let you know that we’re having a good holiday.  We’ve had variable weather but consistently warm.  Had some rain but luckily it’s been mainly overnight - only be caught out in it once and fortunately not far from the van.  Have been in shorts and t shirts the whole time!

Glad to hear your DDad is home and has had a good night’s sleep.

Well done to all the losers, particularly well done to @ruby_eskimo on maintaining after a holiday in the States!

Quick post from me. Today's still an unknown on the SW front. We had birthday cake earlier. I've done a casserole as I suspect we'll need something later but wine syns could be involved. 🤔

Happy Birthday to Mr Maman or should I say 'Pere'! Have a fab time and enjoy the wine and cake!!

I have good news. DS1 and his GF flew to Seattle yesterday to visit her Dad, and they got engaged today! We knew it was on the cards, just didn't know when. So happy for them and now even more incentive to be slim and trim. Off to look at hats !!!

Morning all, a bit dull here but hoping it will brighten up later

I tackled the mahoosive ironing pile last night - most of it DS2's and then he did another washload which must have had (I kid you not) at least 15 further t-shirts/shirts. That boy has way too many clothes. He hung his washing up in the spare room, but I will transfer to the whirly shortly to freshen them up.

DH and I are out for dinner tonight at a super posh restaurant. This is for my birthday as they didn't have availability on Saturday (last minute Larry DH!). I have no idea what I will eat, but I will be mindful given WI is on Saturday morning.

    Food today:
    B - melon, plum, blueberries, 1 x wm toast, poached egg - S, 1/2 HEB, P
L - Egg fried rice - lo rice, egg, ham, peas, soy sauce - Free
    D - who knows?!
    HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
    Syns - probably lots....

In other good news, sleazyjet have acknowledged our delayed flights to Cyprus in July. They confirmed that we will receive a refund of 4 x £350 - only trouble is, there were 5 of us, so I've had to contact them again on their 'contact us' form to rectify this. I did phone but no-one could help me, just got told to resubmit a claim online! Frustrating, but at least we will get our money back.

    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy

Morning, I love hearing what you're all up to, not just food news! Have a great belated dinner tonight @Coxy11 and having two DS, one still at home, I know exactly what you mean about the washing!

Last night involved a bit of a melt down for various reasons but really happy to say that I didn't stray into the snacks and alcohol as I would normally do.  Much brighter this morning and I've resolved to get my early retirement options sorted out and dipping my toe into the dating pool again (I feel so old saying that) is now done and dusted.  Don't know what I was expecting but think I need to take my rose tinted specs off!  But at least a considerable weight has gone  :p if only I could include it in my WI  :D

    Today's food:
B - bran flakes (HEXB), f/f Greek yoghurt, berries
L - tomato and red pepper soup
D - chilli with rice and side salad

    Have a good day all!
