Welcome back @Coxy11. I'm sure you're exhausted. Try to get a good night's sleep and then you can make a plan going forward. I'm sure you're craving fruit and vegetables. I know I do after holidays eating out a lot. Not sure if veg wars are still on tomorrow. It might be worth checking in case it's worth shopping tomorrow.

I'm going to parboil and open freeze meal portions of roast potatoes, carrots and parsnips as it worked well for dinner tonight. 😊

Morning all, it's another dry and bright day so washing out on the line with another load in the machine which will be ready to hang out shortly.

Welcome home @Coxy11, that sounded an exhausting day yesterday.  Hope you slept well and are raring to go this morning. No doubt you will need to do some shopping as you haven't been at home.  Plenty of fruit and veg so that you can get back on plan, although yesterday's breakfast wasn't bad, just a few syns for the avocado - most avocado's are around 50g once the skin and stone are removed, you don't get huge ones in this country!

    Today's plan:

    B - porridge, banana - HEB; F
    L - spanish omelette - P; S; F
    D - cauliflower cheese and chips - S; F; 9.5

    HEA - milk
    HEB - porridge
Syns - cheese sauce mix 3.5; frozen chips 6

    Have a good day everyone.

Seeing cauliflower cheese on your menu, got me fancying it @joedenise.😋 I'm having a small amount of cauliflower today but not enough to warrant a cheese sauce. I'll put it on next week's menu.

We rarely go out on Bank Holidays as we have the option of going at quieter times. DH is busy this afternoon so I might be totally lazy and read a book or I might just go to local shops and have a bit of a walk. There's nothing urgent that I need but it would get me out and about while the weather's good.

I've got a reasonably good week ahead. We're out to lunch on Friday but that's a good thing as I'll have weekend syns to use. 😊

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S)
    L- cold meat (P), fried veg and beetroot (S) potato/parsnip? (F)
D- fishcake, SW chips (F), spicy cauliflower, tomatoes, mushrooms, green stuff (S)
    Syns- Morrison's fishcake 2

Sorry i've been awal but still reading along. First WI 41/2 lbs second stayed the same but had family staying and that didn't help. But back on track now, Planned my meals for this week also.
Hope you have all had a good Easter break. Unusually good weather, helps the spirits doesn't it..
Another question please. When eating out, what do you syn a coffee? Just americana white for example.? Keeping within daily milk allowance otherwise.

That was a great loss your first WI; STS is OK especially if you had family staying and not completely on plan.

For coffee out, if it's just an Americano with milk then it really depends on how much milk is in it!  It could easily come out of your HEA allowance if you haven't planned on using both HEAs at home otherwise SW suggests 0.5 syns for a splash - I suspect that most places would be far more than a splash!  I just find it easier to stick with an Americano!

Brilliant loss @OWD_nana. Delighted for you. 👏👏👏 Now you're back on plan, you should have your half stone soon. 😁

I always choose Americano when I'm in a coffee shop. Like @joedenise says, since we have 2 HEAs, I don't think I've ever not had enough milk left to need to syn it. Most places use semi skimmed or other milks which are the most generous for a HEA.

I'm sure you enjoyed those chocolates @bubbs. I rarely drink coffee at home (stick to tea). What do you have? 🤔
