Glad you enjoyed your hot dinner @bubbs. 😉

Fortunately,  it cleared up here and I did manage to dry a line of washing. It's going to be difficult when the weather changes as we've got so used to everything drying as soon as you put it out.

6 weeks before next WI for me @joedenise but I mustn't get to complacent as have a few occasions coming up but in between I'll be sticking to plan. No syns today so technically could have had 30 yesterday. 🤔

Glad you’re feeling brighter @ruby_eskimo. Tick tock for your holiday whoop!

Good that you enjoyed your lunch out @maman

Well done on your loss @Vegastare x

We had one pot chicken biryani tonight. It was lovely. Served 3 of us plus one portion for DH to have for lunch tomorrow. So much rice and veg that I froze two pots which will be work lunches next week.

I had a work colleague (young enough to be my daughter) cheerfully tell me “you seem bright…” yesterday. I’m sure she meant it as a compliment but must admit I’m struggling to not feel patronised!!

Congratulations on your loss @Vegastare. You're doing so well. 👏👏👏 Try and prepare for MIL's visit. If you want to use the syns for wine then have plenty of SW friendly food and thank her for any baking but keep it for your DH in the week.

I'd take the compliment as a NSV @Coxy11. You must be feeling and looking much better than you were a couple of weeks ago for your colleague to notice a change. 👍

    Lol @maman!! Indeed  :D

    Morning everyone,

I'm in the office again today. At least it's a dry start here so hopefully my hair won't frizz up like yesterday - honestly, needed a wide-angled lens on my video calls!

    Food today will be:
B - overnight oats with cherries, and toffee mullerlight - HEB, 0.5
L - LO SW Greek lamb, grapes (might get a pot of fruit from M&S too)
    D - Kedgeree
    HEA - milk
    Syns - hi fi bar 3 plus 0.5 = 3.5 total

I'm giving blood after work so will be back home around 7.30pm. Hoping DH will have rubbed down the second fill on the lounge ceiling by then and we can eat, before second coat of paint on the woodwork. Would love to have a rum n pepsi max but need to avoid alcohol after donating blood unfortunately!

    Have a good day all.

Morning all, looking lovely today after yesterday's downpour.  Even with all that rain it hasn't cooled it down very much and still very warm.

Well done on the loss @Vegastare; as @maman says you're doing so well with your losses.

I haven't tried the chicken Biryani yet @Coxy11 - is it the one from the website?  I often make a veggie biryani which we both really like but I only ever make enough one one meal.

I made the veggie goulash last night and it definitely had a bit of a kick with the cayenne pepper in it but it was very nice.  Adding all the extra veg also meant a bonus of enough goulash and rice for a lunch for us both - that will do for one of our lunches shortly after we get back from holiday!

I've made the decision that after our holiday I'm only going to plan our evening meals monthly and breakfasts and lunches will be done weekly once I know which days DH is playing golf as I'm getting fed up with having to move things around as I don't want to be making things like kedgeree for breakfast or lunch on days when it's just me!  Will see how that works out in October!

    Today's plan:

B - mushroom omelette - P; S (DH had fried egg sandwich as he's not keen on omelettes!)
    L - tuna mayo & cucumber sandwich -HEB; P; S; 0.5
    D - meatloaf; mash; veg - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - LTL mayo 0.5; mini mix lolly 6

    Have a good day everyone

Morning all.  That sounds like a sensible plan with the meal planning @joedenise.  It's bad enough with my DH randomly throwing plans at me and I plan weekly so hate to think what it's like with a monthly plan!  Glad you enjoyed the goulash 👍 and hope you have a nice trip away.

Hope the blood donation goes well @Coxy11 and that you manage to get the redecorating done soon!

Probably the last update from me before we're off 🛫 Excitement is starting to kick in now and I feel more relaxed than I usually do before a trip, mainly because I've not let DH leave things till the last minute for once!  Throat is still feeling scratchy but I have some Strefen lozenges now which seem to be working (not as well as my beloved Tyrozets, but they've been discontinued 😢)  Having our last Gousto meal tonight (it's some kind of tortellini, DH's choice) which will have glass of prosecco on the side to celebrate getting through work.  Haven't had breakfast but instead going for a brunch to fit in around meetings, so will be some bacon, eggs toast and mushrooms to power me through the rest of the day.

Hope you all have a good bank holiday weekend and see you in September with a lot more weight to lose!

Thanks @ruby_eskimo - the extra veg and the cayenne made such a difference and also made it more SW friendly.

Enjoy your glass of Prosecco - well deserved after the stressful time you've been having and the sore throat etc.

    Have a great holiday.

Morning all, well done to all the losers  Have a fab holiday @ruby_eskimo!

Early days, only day two of HRT patches but so far so good!

I love your planning skills @joedenise.  DS2 and I have been talking about meals.  He's a big meat eater where I'm much less so but with rising costs I've been reducing the amount of meat in recipes and adding more veg and beans which he's enjoyed without me saying anything  ;) I'm going to make the veggie goulash this weekend and have a look through recipe books for some new ideas - I have plenty of them so shouldn't be a problem to find something!

    Today's plan:
B - f/f Greek yoghurt, banana and apple (only fruit left!)
L - out for lunch - possibly baked potato or pasta dish
D - TBC depends how hungry I am after lunch

Another week totally on plan so hoping for a loss tomorrow - but we shall see

Have a good day all
