Thanks for the photo @room512 - will look out for those chips after my holiday!  I've only got a cheap ice cream maker too; can't afford an all singing all dancing one!

@Vegastare - wine is only 6 syns if it's a small glass (125 ml) of white or rose.  Red wine is 6.5 syns for a small glass.

Oh Denise how could you I am totally distraught will have find a smaller glass!!!
🤣🤣🤣 - sorry but wouldn't want you wondering why you'd put on weight when you'd only had one glass of wine!

You're right @Vegastare, working out wine syns is a nightmare. It depends what you like but most Proseccos are about the lowest. I upset my consultant by telling the group, when asked how I'd lost by saying it was from switching to Prosecco. 🤣 Next you need to look at the %age alcohol. Some bottles can be about 27, others well over 30.

Welcome @room512. Good to have you along. Do ask if there's anything you need to know and thanks so much for the Lidl chips tip. I'll certainly look out for them. 😊

I called into the Company Shop today @bubbs and did really well. I spent just under £25 and came away with 5 x salmon fillets (ate some tonight and they're yum 😋), 5 x M&S liver, some smoked haddock,, 2 x large packs of 3% turkey mince plus biscuits for DH and the food bank and various vegetables. My fridge is packed and I'll portion it all up tomorrow.

I'm going to try the Greek lamb @Coxy11 and the veggie goulash @ruby_eskimo. Both sound delicious.

Good idea to rejig your meal plan @joedenise. I only plan dinners but buy ingredients for other meals, especially eggs and plenty of vegetables and pickles for breakfast and lunch then I choose on the day including lots of LOs.

    Today's EE plan -
B- bacon, eggs (P), baked beans (F), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- bubble and squeak (F. S), ham (and pickles
D- salmon (P), SW chips (F), various vebds-)
    Syns weekend wine

Morning all, looking a bit cloudy this morning but still fairly warm.  Been out in the garden and picked a few raspberries and blackberries so will have those this evening.  There are plenty more raspberries coming but I suspect most of them will ripen while we're away next month so our neighbour will end up having them, same as last year, although I did manage to pick a takeaway sized box when we got home.

Good haul at the Company Shop @maman; no doubt you'll get masses too on Wednesday @bubbs!

Meeting up with DD2 and our DGD for lunch today so no idea where we're going to eat and what I'm likely to be eating so today's plan is a bit up in the air!

    B - eggs Benedict on big mushroom - P; S; F; 0.5 (recipe on SW website/app)
    L - eating out
D - depends on what we have at lunchtime but if we want a proper dinner I'll make a chana masala and rice but may possibly just want something on toast or a sandwich!

    HEA - milk
    HEB - none planned
    Syns - LTL mayo 0.5; ?

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

I'm off to group shortly. Won't be staying this morning as I'm meeting my old knit and natter group in Caffe Ner0 afterwards.  I have some hats for the homeless to hand over. Will have a hi fi bar on the bus en route. Good luck for WI @room512 x

No alcohol for me last night as I donated blood after work. Stuck to tea! Hope you managed to find a smaller glass @Vegastare

We are off to a 50th party tonight which is 70s theme. I purchased a 70s designer (hideous) green and orange dress from the bay of E (think Abigail's Party). Will try to style my hair like Farah Fawcett, otherwise top plait. DH is wearing white flares, white shiny brogues, a gross purple flowery shirt, mullet wig and p0rn star tash. Hoping DD will drop us off as don't really want to ride the bus to the venue...

    Food today:
    B - hi fi bar - HEB
    L - grilled bacon, poached egg, beans - P
D - LO minced beef pasta bake - DH made this last night and there's loads left. Will ensure no beige food picking at the party.
    HEA - milk
Syns - alcohol later, so who knows??

    Have a good day all

Enjoy your party tonight @Coxy11.  I had a similar coloured dress like that back in the late 60s although mine was even more garish - PURPLE AND ORANGE!  Don't think you can get 2 worse colours together!   I'm sure you'l both look great.  Can understand you not wanting to go on the bus!

My BIL went to a 70s party a few years ago and he was very overweight and decided to wear an Elvis style white studded all-in-one - looked absolutely hideous!

Good luck for WI to both you and @room512 this morning.

Morning everyone. OH lost 5.5lb and I have lost 2.2lb. I am happy with that as I was convinced I hadn’t lost due to toileting issues!

Good luck with WI @Coxy11 and hope you enjoy your party.

The Company Shop sounds worth a look. We have one a few miles away so will pop in soon. Can’t yet at we applied for UC but are still in the assessment stage. Find out on the 1st if we are entitled to anything. Fingers crossed 🤞

    HEB- Pitta bread
