Morning all, looking to be another nice day with a bit of a breeze - perfect drying weather so have got the bedding in the machine so will get that out on the line shortly.  That will be one job off my list which needs to be done before we go away on Thursday.

Today's meals aren't going to be as low syn as I'd hoped but still not the full 15 but again I still have time to rein it back in!  So today will be:

    B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
    L - LO meatloaf, vegetable fries - P; S; 6
D - gammon hock, boiled new potatoes, cabbage, green beans & peas - P; S; F (probably a few syns in the hock as I've no intention of taking off the skin and fat before boiling it but won't be eating it!)

    HEA - milk
HEB - will probably have a couple of cereal bars at some point during the day
    Syns - sausages 2; veg fries 6

Will have some fruit and yoghurt later - strawberries, grapes, raspberries & blackberries

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. Bright and sunny here today  :)

We very much enjoyed the party. The music was all 70s and I danced all night, in wedge heels! Great body magic hopefully. DD dropped us off and collected us. Payback for all the Mum taxi trips of her youth!

Well done on your loss @bubbs. Sorry you've had a gain @Jellybaby. I hope that the food diary and syns limit will help this week. Good luck x

    Food today:
    B - poached egg, 1 WM toast, spinach - P, 1/2 HEB, S
    L - LO biryani veg rice, melon - S
D - roast chicken, SW roast potatoes, broccoli, carrots, green beans - P, S
    HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
    Syns - gravy, redcurrant jelly - 4

    Have a good day everyone.

@Vegastare - do you have measuring cups?  If so there should be a 125ml one (half cup measure).  I used that to see how much I should put into the glass!  You could always mark your glass with a fine waterproof pen so you always get it right!

I use a jigger for my spirits which is 25/50ml; not sure if you can get something similar for wine as never looked!

Bedding all dried, folded and put away - just got to remake the bed now - it's a job I absolutely hate.

Glad you enjoyed the party @Coxy11. There's nothing like dancing for a bit of Body Magic. 😁

I always change the bedding with DH @joedenise as it's so much easier, if you can, with two people especially for the fitted sheet and duvet cover. 😊

I have a jigger for measuring gin too @Vegastare. Wine, I measure by the bottle, just ensure I have plenty of syns to spare. 😉

Still enjoying lovely warm weather here. ❤️☀️

Enjoyed my lunch, a 50p bag of M&S veg from Company Shop. I used soy and 5 spice so syn free. 👍 I was going to do noodles and half the vegetables but it won't keep so ate the lot. 🤣

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, scrambled eggs (P)
    L- veggie stir fry (S)
D- roast chicken (P), SW roast potatoes, LM stuffing (F), many vegetables (S)
Syns - gravy 4, weekend wine.

Good afternoon. Well done @TakeItEasy @Coxy and @bubbs on your losses this week. Sorry if I have missed anyone out.

Went shopping this morning - finding I am having to go to different shops to get the best prices.  Okay at the moment but back to work on the 5th September so will be a little harder then.  We have a weekly shop delivered from Ocado but lots of things are a lot cheaper at Aldi, Lidl and Morrisons.  As it is all new again I am sure we will get into a routine of what to buy where.

Tried the frozen yogurt last night and it was a disaster 😂 Think the FF Greek yogurt is too thick so will thin it down with some oat milk tonight. Can’t use ordinary milk as I don’t drink it and OH is allergic so makes his own oat milk.  So will have to count some syns for it.  Hopefully it will work.

The fake KFC was delicious so we will definitely have that again.  OH loves takeaways so I am happy we can find healthier versions to cook at home.

    B/L - fruit
D - Mushroom and Spinach Cannelloni

HEA - cheese in the cannellonni
HEB - 2 alpen light bars
Syns - 3 frozen yogurt.  Will find some other things to munch on tonight to use the others.

@joedenise will tip into measure jug to get the measure of 175 ml....and what can I say @maman my kind of girl.....plus LM stuffing is it made from sausage...

Last weeks chicken dinner was not my usual...stuffing cranberry sauce and bread sauce, I am an all the trimming girl, and it shows on the scales.  The ham went into the slow cocker and is wrapped and cooling so ready for my visitor , the chicken certainly wasn't like roasted last Sunday - give the slow cooker a miss with whole chicken.  Got some really lean beef short ribs from the butcher for next weekend, he doesn't have them all the time -so get them while I can.

I looked up this Company shop and the nearest one is 35 miles away, but if one comes closer will be able to become an member NHS pension qualifying.  DH and I wondered about Costo but mixed reports..

    Enjoying the afternoon

Hi all, warm day here but I’m still doing a roast for dinner 🤣 we’ll sort off, put the topside in the slow cooker and half way through added onions and bovril for the gravy. It’s falling apart it’s so tender and tastes amazing. First time I’ve tried it this way.

While I’m prepping the veg I’m going to make chilli pasta bake from the new mag for tomorrow’s dinner.
It says to cook on the stove but I’m going to try the slow cooker again - my efforts to keep energy costs down.

@Vegastare - syns will be significantly more for 175ml!  It's 8.5 for 175ml of white or rose wine and 9 syns for red wine.  You haven't said which you drink!

The stuffing you were asking about is made from the Linda McCartney rosemary and red onion sausages; Aldi do their own version but they are just onion and rosemary (rather than red onion); both DH and I prefer the Aldi ones.

The topside sound amazing @Jellybaby; enjoy.

Let us know how the pasta bake turns out cooking in the SC.
