Morning all, not so nice this morning.  Hoping it will brighten up later and if it does I'll do the final load of washing!  If not I'll leave it until tomorrow and hope it will be better!

Sorry you're still feeling unwell @beanielou and haven't been able to enjoy your birthday.  Infections are a PITA and anti biotic are really helpful but they also cause so many problems.  Hope your current infection clears up quickly and you can get back on track.

Trying to use up stuff in the fridge before we go away so probably not as much speed as I would have usually.  Plan today:

B - weetabix with milk - HEB; part HEA
    L - stuffed pepper with salad - P; S; F
    D - sausages, mash, cabbage and frozen mixed veg - S; F; 2

    HEA - milk
    HEB - weetabix
    Syns - sausages

Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend, particularly those of you that are still working.

Good morning everyone.  Happy belated birthday beanielou.  I hope you feel better soon.

The frozen yogurt worked better last night but had a faint taste of oats so going to add some vanilla flavouring and sweetener to see if that helps.

I am still struggling to eat enough syns each day.  I used to pick in the evening but I am finding I am too full.  So going to try reducing my portion sizes to see if that helps.  Never thought I would be moaning that I am too full to eat chocolate 😂

Hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday. Last week of the holidays for me, then back to the grindstone.

B- egg wraps with Aldi version of the rosemary sausages.  Looking forward to trying them as they are cheaper than the LM ones
L- jacket potato with beans and sausages
D- pizza topped fries and salad

    HEA - cheese on chips
HEB - having a delivery from Iceland later containing 30 boxes of hi fi bars! So two bars.
Syns - 5.5 for lunch, 3 for frozen yogurt and some chocolate or popcorn later depending on what I feel like.

    Morning everyone,

Happy belated birthday to @beanielou xx Sorry you're not feeling well - I hope things improve soon xx

Glad I'm not an ice cream fan as it all sounds quite faffy lol!

I went to A!di yesterday. Managed to get some kitchen utensils for DS2 for uni plus treated myself to an adult colouring book to aid mindfulness. Was less just than £50 including those bits. Will need a top up of fruit and veg during the week, but I'm really trying to use up what's in the freezer atm.

We had roast chicken last night. First roast in absolutely ages but it was worth it for 3 of us, and just used the main oven. I did SW roasties for all of us, broccoli and carrots. DH made special gravy using goodness knows what (I was painting the lounge) so I avoided that and just had some redcurrant jelly. Small glass of white wine last night which I very much enjoyed.

DH and I will paint the lounge again today and then we just have the two alcoves to wallpaper. If we don't get to it before the shutters get fitted on Thursday it's not a disaster as it doesn't encroach.

    Food today:
    B - poached egg, 1 WM toast, spinach - P, 1/2 HEB, S
    L - crabsticks, salad leaves, tomatoes, pickles, melon, blueberries - P, S
D - out with DS1 and his gf at local curry house. Will probably choose a chicken shashlik if they have it.
    HEA - milk
    HEA - mini babybel light
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
Syns - curry house syns !!

    Have a good day all.

Your decorating is really coming together now @Coxy11. It's good when the finishing touches are in sight. I'm sure you'll choose wisely in the curry house.😉😇

I'm envying your holiday and you haven't even gone yet @joedenise😁. DH and I keep dithering over where we're going next. We've a few family birthdays and other things next month but once they're over we'll definitely do something.

I could be wrong @room512, but at first glance your menu for today seems a bit low on Speed vegetables or fruit. Do try to include at least a third across a day if you can't manage it at each meal or snack on fruit in between. You could reduce your portion size but don't go hungry or it'll start to feel like a diet. You could use syns in your meals, like more cheese or mayo or sauces. I think Speed food and Planning are the two key things about SW. Will you need to change your plans when you go back to work?🤔

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- cold meat (P), fried veg and pickles (S), maybe potato? (F)
D- veggie chilli (P,S), brown rice, peas (F), cottage cheese (P)
    Syns- 0

Think holiday plans are changing!  DH has looked at the weather forecasts for the first couple of weeks we're away and it's looking like the Loire valley will have the best weather, so possibly going that way!  Don't think we're going to do Belgium and Germany after all but who knows - our plans never materialise, do they?  We're very flexible as to where we go in the van!

Afternoon everyone, @joedenise sounds like a mystery trip not knowing the destination. I would love it.
If it was my DM I would worried, years ago my late Mum was in Nursing Home he had visited many times with me, but I had flu and had call saying Mum was distraught that I was really ill despite talking to her over the phone - so rang hubby asking him to pop in on his way home.  I had a frantic phone call later, he was lost and couldn't find NH.  Thank goodness for sat navs.

@beanielou sorry you are still under the weather and not great birthday - pick a date when better and have a celebration.

Well MIL has been and gone, no real wobble with food so all ok....just glad to be back on track to day.

B sliced apple plums and blueberries F F yog
    L  scrambled eggs slice w m toast
D mixed salad jacket pot and prawns in ff yog made sauce.

HEB 1/2 bread and 1/2 hifi
    HEA Milk

Syns butter 2  tom ketchup 1 sysn

It always is a mystery tour for us @Vegastare as we never decide until we actually get to France which direction we're going.  We make plans but for some reason they always change - like now!  Since we got back in mid June we'd decided it was going to be Belgium and Germany and then DH looked at weather forecasts for next week or so and said think we'll head for Loire as that where the weather looks best!  It'll probably change again by the time we go on Thursday!

tea ham, egg, chips (bns speed) baked beans

I cooked a gammon yesterday and it is lush hence all the ham today

That's what we're having tomorrow.  I cooked gammon yesterday as well.

Tonight ended up as toad in the hole with roasties & veg as DH was using the oven to cook fruit buns (hot cross buns minus the crosses!).  They look absolutely amazing but not going to have one until after WI in Wednesday!
