Hi all,
Just back from curry house. I had chicken shashlik and plain rice. Tiny bit of naan (tut tut).Managed to finish painting the lounge walls and steam mop the floor before we went out, so the lounge is usable again.DH is in Birmingham tomorrow so I will mask up the hallway woodwork when I finish WFH and we can get on with the hallway walls on Weds.

Morning all, glad you decided to join the thread @hazeldreams. Hopefully posting on here will help with the motivation. Might also give you the motivation to keep going. Don't look at it as a mountain to climb, try thinking in terms of the next half stone - it doesn't seem too bad that way. That's why SW gives stickers at every half stone mark! Aim for 1-2lb a week and it won't be long until you're at target.
The weather is horrible here! It's been raining most of the night and it's still raining with no sign of clearing up yet! Still it will do the garden good and save me having to water it tonight!
Need to go down the chemist to see if DH's prescription is ready and if not take it back and try other chemists until we find one that has his tablets in stock! Can't leave it with the local one any longer - took it in Wednesday afternoon and usually they manage to get tablets the following day but still hadn't got them by Friday. Definitely need to get them with going away on Thursday as he's only got enough for a couple of weeks left!
Also need to get a few bits of shopping - nearly out of potatoes so just going to buy a small pack of baby potatoes, also want to get a loaf of bread to put in the freezer for when we get back - I've got 10% of both these with my Morrisons card so no doubt that means they'll be going up again next week! It's what usually seems to happen. Also need to get some eggs as I miscounted how many I needed this week and only have enough for today and want some for omelette on Wednesday morning before WI. DH also wants to get some beers to take away with us.
Today's plan:
B - breakfast hash - P; S; F (this will use up the LO potatoes from last night and the last of the eggs)
L - Welsh rarebit - HEA2; HEB; P; F
D - gammon, egg, chips, beans, mushrooms - P; S; 4.5
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - frozen chips 4.5
Have a good day everyone.

Welcome @hazeldreams. Agree with @joedenise to look at smaller targets so you don't get overwhelmed xx

Welcome @hazeldreams you'll get loads of help and inspiration on here! Hope you're feeling better @beanielou
Well the chilli pasta from the mag was better than expected! Just a basic chilli mix but we usually eat with rice so pasta was a new experience for usWasn't brave enough to add the uncooked pasta to the slow cooker so just cooked as normal, mixed the chilli mix through and bunged (technical term) under the grill til crispy. I made the full recipe for four, stuck two in the freezer and the rest fed DS and I last night with extras and I've enough for lunch today! I used 250g mince instead of 500g and added extra kidney beans and veg.
Today's plan:
B - sweet omelette with strawberries, banana, f/f Greek yoghurt, 1 tbsp Skinny syrup
L - l/over chilli pasta, side salad
D - chicken curry with rice
Syns - 1 for syrup, 5.5 for curry paste (I usually make/prefer my own but it's a pouch I'm using up)
Have a good day all!1 -
Good morning everyone. It feels a lot cooler here this morning too. When I said I was going to cut down on my portion size it was because we are cooking recipes that say serves 4 and eating them between the two of us! I do have a lot of speed food - fruit and veg but I didn’t write it down. Thanks for the advice though, it has been taken on board.
Hope everyone has a great day.
B - FF yogurt and fruitL - pitta bread pizza with salad
D - Ham and potato cakes with baked beans and salad
HEA - cheese on pizza and in the potato cakes
HEB - pitta bread
Syns - hi fi bars 6 25g popcorn 61 -
Hope it warmed up @Coxy11. It's not exactly shorts weather here but still in short sleeves. I will be taking a jacket to the football later though.
Hope you were successful at the pharmacy @joedenise. I think shortages are a national problem, certainly an issue locally. ☹️
Well done on plenty of Speed @room512. I tend to cook recipes for 4 but with meat for 2. We have 2 generous portions for dinner and that leaves 1 for my lunch. DH and I don't have lunch together so it suits us.
Thanks for the heads up on the chilli pasta @Jellybaby. Like you we have rice or maybe a JP with chilli usually but I do like pasta. I've been buying Aldi's Essentials versions regularly while they still exist. They only do penne and spaghetti but it doesn't taste any different to me from expensive versions.
Welcome @hazeldreams. Good to have you on board. Have you done SW before? 🤔

L- ham, egg (P), fried vegetables and pickles (S)
