No luck at the local pharmacy @maman so got the prescription back and went to the one next to the local hospital and fortunately they had them in so at least DH has got all his meds for holiday. If they hadn't got it then it would have been a trip to Tesco or Asda pharmacies but fortunately not needed.
Good luck at Company Shop tomorrow @bubbs! Hope you can get some good bargains!
Can't remember if I said but DH made some fruit buns yesterday - they were really tempting but I managed to avoid but will definitely be having one tomorrow after WI!

Ooh fruit buns.I have just sat down. Finished work (from home) at 5.30 then repainted the lounge wall (longest wall, typical) as there was a distinct colour difference halfway along. I opened a new tin there yesterday and obviously it wasn’t mixed thoroughly 🙄 Cleaned up brush and tray then made kedgeree. Washed up then did an hours’ ironing. Absolutely pooped. In the office tomorrow so have some Quorn bolognaise to take in plus overnight oats on the go.Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0

Morning everyone. You all sound really busy. Hope you have a good shop @bubbs.
Another lazy day for me today. Using the last few days of the holiday to do very little apart from try out some new recipes.
B- FF Greek yogurt and pineapple
L - Ham pitta and salad
D - Hash brown pizza and salad
HEA - cheese on pizza
HEB - pitta
Syns - hi fi bars and a packet of crisps0 -
Even with my new patches and iron tabs, I'm exhausted reading that list @Coxy11
Fingers crossed for WI @joedenise and loads of food bargains @bubbs
Last night's curry was OK but have made better myself! On the upside another packet mix used up never to be bought again.
Today's plan:
B - l/f Greek yoghurt, strawberries and mango
L - seeded bagel thin (HEXB), chicken, salad, pickles
D - pork medallions, new potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower
Syns - none planned so far
Have a good day everyone

I feel the same about using things up @Jellybaby. I hate wasting syns but hate wasting food or money even more! 🤣
I have sausages in the freezer which have syns in them that DD1 passed on to me. It's a bit fiddly cooking different sausages for DH and myself but I'm determined to use them. Maybe next time I use sausages for a casserole I'll cut up one synful one to 2 of my usuals.?🤔
Out of interest, which chicken curry recipe would you use if you were making it yourself?
Don't knock trying new recipes @room512. I don't think that's lazy at all. It's also good to know which are quick and easy and which are a bit fiddly and take longer for when you're back at work. Also which can freeze well as it's so useful to have SW friendly HM ready meals.
I'm experimenting with a recipe at lunchtime. I've got the last of the cold chicken to try making a pasta dish from. It's very similar to the garlic mushroom recipe but with chicken in! 😁
Leftover Chicken Pasta (goodhousekeeping.com)
ETA- I enjoyed it as a change for lunch. A bit bland but will try again next time we have chicken but with more garlic and herbs. Just using pasta water rather than perhaps some chicken stock didn't help.
I'll adapt it as ever, including adding some chopped spring onions to up the Speed.
We're having hot dinner today @bubbs😉. Usually midweek I have some LO gravy from weekend casseroles bt not this week. I'm hoping that I can make HM with stock and just a tbsp of cornflour. I must confess to some unplanned syns last night. As it was a bit cooler, we had coffee at football. This meant half a Crunchie was reinstated. DH was peckish when we got home so made himself cheese and crackers so I had one. I'm counting the cheese as HEA. It was only a small water biscuit so probably 2?
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA1 milk for drinks,, fried egg , bacon (P), baked beans (F)
L- chicken pasta (P,F,S and HEA2 for cheese)
D- sausages, gravy, mash (F), lots of veg (S)
Syns- sausages, cornflour 1

Afternoon everyone,
At my desk, so having to be sneaky....
Pleased to announce that there's no DIY tonight hurrah! We are having shutters fitted in the lounge tomorrow so we just need to unmask the windows and clean the frames/glass. I'm secretly hoping that DH will do this when he finishes work, so by the time I get home it will be done. He is planning on going for a drink with friends, and I will have a nice bath, facemask and early night - yippeee!
Please share what recipes you are trying @room512 - I always like to try something new!!
Food today:
B - banana, overnight oats with frozen cherries, mullerlight vanilla - HEB, 0.5
L - LO beef mince bolognaise (thought it was Quorn, but no, real mince!), melon, blueberries, grapes - P, mostly S
D - moules et SW frites - 3 (whole pack is 4 but we are sharing 2 packs between 3 of us)
HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar 3 plus 3.5 so 6.5 total
