Did I say went in Iceland just to get Skinny bars and they only had whippy bars - didn't fancy them (never liked Milky way)ย Tesco have orange skinny bars might order them ----are they okย
I mentioned the TGTG bags to SIL as she uses Morrisons - she is veggie and so are my 2 nieces so thought it might be good - not heard back.ย Do you have to have phone app.
When I stopped work I gave my mobile back with gleeful delight - bloody thing emails all the time....just have pay as u go which I can't even remember the number for.ย No apps not even connected to google. Joy,0 -
@Vegastare - Too Good To Go is a phone app. ย Don't think there's any other way to access it. ย I think the Morrisons bags might be ok for your SIL as I've never had any meat in any of the bags I've had. ย Quite often quite a bit of bakery stuff but DH eats most of that unless there is something like the wholemeal soft pittas like there was last time I got a bag. ย I won't be bothering again now until after my holiday.
Apparently next week we're going to be given a leaflet about getting 10% off anything we buy in Iceland by showing our SW membership card so might be worth a visit for some, particularly if you have a Food Warehouse where they sell lots of stuff part from food, like electrical goods.

Reporting back to say the SW Greek lamb with orzo was lush! Very easy and could easily bung in the slow cooker instead of hob cook. DH and I had some and I have 3 additional portions. Two in the freezer and one in the fridge for Friday's work lunch yum.
Recipe for anyone interested - serves 4:
600g lean lamb leg steaks, fat removed, cut into bite-sized chunks
1 large onions, sliced
2 large red peppers, deseeded and chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tsp dried oregano
2 small cinnamon sticks
500g passata
2 tbsp tomato puree
2 carrots, peeled and roughly chopped
2 celery sticks, sliced
600ml boiling lamb or chicken stock
300g dried orzo (or other small pasta)
Spray a large saucepan or casserole dish with low calorie cooking spray and place over a high heat. Add the lamb and cook for about 5 minutes until lightly browned all over. Transfer to a plate with a slotted spoon.
Add the onions, peppers, garlic, oregano and 3 tbsp water to the pan. Reduce the heat to medium, cover and cook for 5 minutes or until tender, then uncover, stir and cook for a few more minutes or until the excess water has gone and the onions are lightly browned. Stir in the lamb, cinnamon sticks, passata, tomato puree, carrots, celery, stock, 1/2 tsp salt and some black pepper. Bring to a simmer, cover and cook gently for 25 minutes.
Stir in the orzo, cover again and simmer for 15 minutes or until the orzo is tender, stirring halfway. Discard the cinnamon sticks, sprinkle with parsley and serve hot.
Can crumble 75g reduced-fat feta over for 1.5 syns per serving (we didn't)
Confession time - my single cinnamon stick was from a jar dated Dec 2004!! We are currently still alive!!!

Morning all,
Rain of biblical proportions here, accompanied by thunder and lightning since about 5am. Oh joy to have to commute to London today. Difficult to know what to put on, as I walk to the station and it's a 10 minute walk the other end, plus it's still 20 degrees. Had got a dress out last night, but clearly that's a no no, so have opted for smart dark jeggings and a nice top. Will need to dig out a more substantial umbrella than my 'handbag' one.
Food today will be:
B - banana, overnight oats with cherries and mullerlight - HEB, 0.5
L - lo Quorn cottage pie, melon, grapes - F, some S
D - SW all in one chicken biryani - free
HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar plus 0.5 = 3.5 total
Just realised I didn't have my snack a jacks yesterday as we painted the lounge woodwork after dinner.
Have a good day all,
Coxy

Morning all.ย Well done on the loss @joedenise and we also have torrential rain here too @Coxy11.ย Very glad I decided to not go into the office today because I'd also have no idea what to wear in this heat!ย ย
Two more work days to go, starting to feel a bit better now so ๐คย Had ff yogurt with raspberries this morning, no idea for lunch because I have a few meetings so might have to be something quick.ย Dinner is the last of the spaghetti bolognese from the freezer.
Right coffee time and then a day of meetings.ย Hope you all have a good day!Emergency Fund - ยฃ8572.39 / ยฃ10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - ยฃLISA 24/25 - ยฃ3200 / ยฃ4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Morning all, no rain here yet but it's definitely coming as DH phoned me about 1/4 hour ago and said as he was driving off the Island it had started! ย He's going to get drenched as he's gone to play golf at another club! ย I don't envy him one bit!
Glad you're feeling better @ruby_eskimo and just in time for your holiday.
I'm taking my friend to the station in the next town later this morning as she has a hospital appointment down at Canterbury Hospital and she doesn't drive so has to use public transport and the buses from here are diabolical! ย Only one an hour and that's if it bothers turning up! ย Will need to pop to one of the SMs to pick up some yoghurt as I hadn't realised we'd run out and DH hadn't told me he finished it up the night before last - I could easily have picked some up yesterday when I went to Sainsbury or Lidl.
Today's plan:
B - scrambled eggs with smoked salmon - P
L - chicken fajtas - HEB; HEA2; P; S; 9
D - mixed bean goulash, rice - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - none planned
Syns - 2 mini wraps (couldn't get any WW wraps so ended up buying a pack of mini ones)) 9
Have a good day everyone.
PS. Just started raining here and not heavy at the moment!

It rained here earlier too and possible thunderstorms until early afternoon. I could do with putting the WM on . It should be warm enough to dry things? ๐ค Big Decision!๐คฃ Hope you managed to stay dry @Coxy11.
Well done on your loss yesterday @joedenise. You obviously did an excellent job of reining in! ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
Glad to hear you're feeling better @ruby_eskimo .How was the veggie goulash?๐ค
Veggie Goulash, Potato Cakes & Sour Cream | Gousto
How does that compare with your bean recipe @joedenise?
Yesterday turned out quite synful but it was my choice and I enjoyed it.ย As anticipated, it was BBQ, salad and new potatoes. I could have stuck to chicken but decided to have a burger and sausage too. They were high meat content but that doesn't always mean low syn. Then my friend had made a sort of ginger ice cream loaf. It suited me as it wasn't too sweet. Pimm's (full fat lemonade) and wine were consumed.ย We had a great time chatting around the table until way into the afternoon/evening so it was all worth it. ๐ Line drawn today.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, raspberries (S), banana (F)
L- ham, fried egg (P), bubble & squeak (F,S), beetroot (S)
D- SW Bolognese (P,S), pasta (F). HEA2 Parmesan
Syns- 00
