@bubbs are that's what it is!!  Maybe a we present from hubby for my birthday.
    Iceland
Must admit I too like the fish, DH and I like the sea bass 2 per pack and 3 for £10 or £9 if Tuesday.  I got there about 5.30pm today and think I hit the reduced bargains....fresh whole chicken, pork loin chops and 2 large Big Daddy Sirloin steaks all reduced.  Why why do I not stick to my shopping list.

Can't say it is a store that really appeals but now that they have fruit veg, dairy etc- it's easy to pop in midweek and just get a few things...my gripe is what is offer online is not the same as store and if you don't have a reward card you don't get the offer either.

Fingers crossed for the WI tomorrow ladies

Those chips look great @bubbs. Do you do them in the Actifry? 🤔

It's a good idea to be flexible on your shopping when bargains you can use or freeze come up @Vegastare. You did well. 😊

    🤞for WI tomorrow.

    Evening all,

Lovely dinner of Quorn cottage pie made yesterday and bunged in the oven by DH whilst I was on the train home. Had a mountain of green beans and broccoli with it. A nice portion left which I’ve stuck in the fridge and will take to work on Thursday as wasn’t sure if I could refreeze once frozen Quorn? Answers on a postcard please.

DH raked out all the lounge ceiling cracks tonight whilst I rubbed down the skirting and picture rail. Have just finished, so celebrating with a rum n Pepsi max to add to my syn total. Undercoating and filling tomorrow night. We know how to live!

My group members were astounded I struggle to use more than 3 or 4 syns a day. You’re right @maman the plan has to work to be sustainable.

    Lol @beanielou!

    Morning all,

A bit of a gloomy start here although it is still early. Teeny bit of rain in the air but still oddly warm. I am WFH today but I have to man a mailbox from 8.30am so need to be on it!

    Food today:
    B - poached egg, wm toast x 1, spinach - P, 1/2 HEB, S
L - peri peri mackerel, salad leaves, cherry toms, pickles, melon, grapes - 1, some S
D - SW Greek lamb with orzo - this better be good as the lamb cost a fortune! - P, S
    HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
    Syns - Snack a jack sweet chilli 22g - 4.5 plus 1 so 5.5 total

Need to pop to Ts for mullerlights for next two days overnight oats, plus salad leaves and celery.

    Have a good day all.

Morning all, beginning to brighten up a bit and as @Coxy11 said earlier still very warm.  We're forecast heavy rain overnight tonight so think I'll get a load of washing done today in case it arrives later than forecast and doesn't get here until tomorrow morning!

@Coxy11 - you could have refrozen the cottage pie as the quorn would have been raw when it was frozen previously; it's only if it was already cooked you couldn't refreeze it - ie if you'd put frozen quorn cottage pie in the freezer, defrosted it, reheated it you shouldn't then refreeze it.  Hope that makes sense.

What lamb dish are you making for dinner tonight?  I would have thought it would have some syns in unless you're using lamb leg with all visible fat removed.  A cut I very rarely have because of the cost.

WI for me this morning so 🤞; did weigh myself yesterday and looked like a small 0.5lb loss so lets hope my scales are right!

Will pop back later after WI with menu plan.

Good luck for WI @joedenise x And thanks for the freezing info, much appreciated.

The recipe tonight is using lamb leg steaks and I will remove any visible fat. They were £4.19 a pack in A!di and I got 2 packs - routed around a bit to get the least fatty ones. Recipe in the One For All book but strangely not online.
