I am glad I am not the only one worried about heating costs...apart from the £400 (do worry too if we will get this with new PM) I am not sure if I will get the thing for pensioners as on the fringe date wise. DH still works but since I retired we are certainly watching our spends, I know we will be ok but will cut back when we can.  DH keeps saying I worry too much - his favourite is saying "telling you not to worry is like telling the Pope not to pray"

I had a letter from SW today wanting me to come back....new leader new venue, sadly the new venue(small old church hall) I last visited for a funeral tea, so not for me.  As for the gnocchi not too much a fan either, think for me it is the rich gungy cheese sauce that makes it - totally of plan.

Well we have rain here past 3 hours and stilling coming down....no hose pipe ban here yet....but can see it coming.  Funny but seeing it rain is really making me feel down...got so use to pottering in garden...inside house work is a downer.

Hope feeling better soon to Ruby and Anna.....nasty things out there.

@Vegastare - if you are entitled to the Winter Fuel Payment then you will get an extra £300.  This is on top of the normal £200.  Link here:  https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/cost-of-living-support/cost-of-living-factsheet-26-may-2022

This gives confirmation of the extra £300.

Your LO veg looks far more professional than mine @bubbs but it is yummy. I cook extra veg on purpose as I enjoy it so much. 😋

So easy putting the sausage casserole together tonight. I'll definitely be precooking the sausages in future. 😊

Morning all.  Those skewers look great @bubbs and hope you feel better soon @beanielou

DH enjoyed the gousto curry last night - it was more of a dhal with added chicken but the flavours were good so will probably add that into the meal rotation.  Only non-SW thing in there was the full fat coconut milk so could easily make it more SW friendly.  Still feeling pretty rough so lots of lemsip and throat lozenges today.  Not got much of an appetite so no breakfast yet, lunch will be a salad if I want it and then dinner is some left over bolognese from the freezer.

Hope everyone has a good day!
