Morning all, food looks good as always @bubbs.
Hope you get over the chest infection soon @beanielou - it's been going on a long time now; I know how debilitating it can be as a fellow sufferer (although, touch wood, not had a chest infection for a couple of years and don't seem to get them as often now that I don't have to travel on trains into the City!). Hope you feel better soon too @ruby_eskimo. Hope the lemsips and throat lozenges do the trick.
Need to do a bit of shopping today so will be popping into Iceland to get my 10% off everything today although probably not much of my list available in there. Will get what I can in there and then on to Lidl by which time I should hopefully have everything on my list if not Morrisons is on the way back so can pop in there but hoping that won't be necessary.
Today's plan with everything coming from stores/freezer:
B - overnight oats - HEB; S; F
L - HM French onion soup - S; F
D - Low fat burger, chips, beans, onions & mushrooms
HEA - milk
HEB - oats
Syns - low fat burger 0.5; may have a cereal bar of some sort this evening for another 3 syns
I've totted up my syns and I am well within them for the week so 🤞for WI tomorrow!
Have a good day everyone.

Hope all those unwell feel better soon. I had a GP appointment yesterday that went very, very well so hoping everything improves soon!
It's dark, wet and cold here this morning so no washing today. My energy statement arrived earlier which started me thinking how to cut use again!
Today's plan:
B - bran flakes (HEXB), strawberries, yoghurt (0.5 syns)
L - veggie omelette, pickles - melon and pineapple for afternoon snack
D - fakeway kebab with loads of salad (without the wrap for me), sriracha sauce (1 syn)
Will have to work out syns for kebab as it's lamb mince but I don't eat a lot of it.
Have a good day all x0 -
Hi all,
In the office today so being a bit secret squirrel again! Hope @beanielou and @ruby_eskimo feel much better soon. Ooh @Jellybaby that's good about the GP appointment!
Love the look of those skewers @bubbs
Food today:
B - overnight oats, cherries, FF toffee yog (no vanilla in A!di last night) - HEB, 0.5 (strange combo, but nice!)
L - M&S orzo with sundried tomatoes, grapes and blueberries - 2.5
D - quorn cottage pie, brocolli, green beans - P, S
HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar plus 3 = 6 total
I'm making a concerted effort to have more daily syns this week. My fellow group members use all 15 most days and I'm baffled how - think one of them has nuts after her dinner in the evening, plus a vodka whilst cooking! I must admit, I do struggle as try to have 'sensible' syns with my meals.

Thanks for the feedback on the Gusto box @ruby_eskimo. I've often seen them or similar advertised. Is that the company that give you the recipe so you can make it again yourself? 🤔
🤞🏼 that you get better very soon and you too @beanielou. Sound like a very positive appointment with your GP @Jellybaby.
I have a quick look in Iceland from time to time @joedenise but rarely buy from there. I used to buy things like large jars of pickles but they haven't been a good price (or size) for ages. Any ideas of things that are SW friendly and good value would be welcome.
Let us know what you think of in terms of saving power too @Jellybaby. It is a mse thread after all. I'm just using a minimum at the moment but it's easier in the summer. I put a cardigan on yesterday evening for the first time since the middle of June! 🤣
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, baked beans (F), fried eggs (P), HEA milk for drinks
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S), 1 potato (F)
D- liver (P), mash, LO gravy (F), onions, carrots, cauli, broccoli, cabbages (S)
Syns- 00 -
I misread my menu plan! Dinner tonight is keema curry not burger & chips! That's tomorrow night. Wouldn't normally bother swapping them over but if I don't we'll end up with rice 2 nights running and DH won't be happy with that!
@Jellybaby - the syns for lamb mince will vary depending on whether it is fresh or frozen and how much fat it has in it.

Thank you for all the well wishes I am feeling better but not fully. Bizarrely my mouth is really painful. Though I think it dawned on me that I hadn't brushed my teeth for ages (well 24 hours) so over did it on the flossing and damaged my gum.
DD put on 4lbs last night at WI she thought it would be more so was happy with that. ,
Seems my germs are spreading and she's now tested positive and my Husband unwell in bed.
I've kind of lost my appetite so not really eaten much but really craved crispy beef and a yorkie bar last night not sure my resolve will last the week though...Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

The Chow mein sachets aren't listed but if you can post the nutritional info per 100g plus pack size I'll put it through the syns estimator for you.TakeItEazy said:Also is there any granola or muesli as HEB please?
Sorry you've got a few side effects with the HRT patches, hopefully things will settle down in a while.
