Plenty of muesli to choose from @TakeItEazy. Lots of the listed ones are the cheaper 'Smart Price' type so may be a bit short on fruit and nuts. The website says that 40g of any NAS muesli can be a HEB but I'd feel happier knowing they'd checked out the brand, especially if I was going to eat it regularly.

There's a Blue Dragon chow mein stir fry sauce listed at 6.5 syns for a 120g pouch. That's not too bad if it's shared I suppose, certainly less than most take aways.

Sorry to hear you're still having a few health problems/side effects. I suppose it's a case of weighing up which is worse. 🤔

    There's some listed - all 40g:

Co-op Free From No added sugar Fruit
    Deliciously Ella Bircher Museli
Nairn Gluten Free Fruit and seed oat Museli
    Dorset Cereal Blissful Berry

There's probably more so if there is a particular one you want to know about just ask.

I think it's really hard to get your head around having up to 15 syns a day if you're not used to it @Coxy11. I know @bubbs has posted that she'd be eating for the sake of it.

I know I wouldn't be satisfied with, for example, one vodka each night. I'd prefer to save my syns and have several vodkas at the weekend IYSWIM. 🤣

I know it's not the prescribed SW way but I have saved syns ever since I started. I do use some syns in recipes and it's got easier since the second HEA of cheese was introduced. I think @joedenise tried having daily syns but not sure it made an appreciable difference to banking them.

I think what matters is that you find a way that works for you and fits your lifestyle. That's the only way you'll treat it as a long term way of healthy eating rather than a diet to lose weight and then return to previous ways.

Just realised that sounds a bit preachy, didn't mean it that way at all.

The lamb mince is the 20% chilled one from Morrisons and according to the app the pack works out at 22.5 syns.  I'll weigh what I have but likely to be less than 7 syns.

@maman - I actually didn't need anything from Iceland today so didn't go in but the things I do regularly buy in there is their 3 for £10 fish - there's a selection of 5 or 6 different ones I think; 3 for £10 meat - I usually just pick up 3 packs of 5% beef mince and I buy their Extra Mature Cheddar in a big block (used to be 1Kg but now reduced to 850g but also reduced in price - that's a first, LOL!).  The other thing I buy a few times a year are the frozen ready cooked lamb shanks which not particularly cheap at, I think, £6 for a pack of 2 but still cheaper than buying raw ones from the butcher and I only have to microwave them for 12 minutes so cheap to reheat too.

I vary between using a syn bank and using daily syns - it really depends on whether I'm drinking wine or spirits at the weekend!  When it's wine then it's always syn bank for the week as like you one or two glasses isn't enough!

Thanks @joedenise. I'll check how the Iceland prices compare with Aldi for mince especially. At the moment my freezers are well stocked from the Ocado offer. I bought lots of mince and chicken thighs and portioned them all up.

I haven't been to the Company Shop for a while either. I'm keeping the freezers filled as I know anything I buy now will be cheaper than in the future.
